You could be writing about the, allegedly, quasi-homoseuxal Mark Carney with his twisted but bloodless past, his (Jimmy) Savile Row suits and his dowager's humped, Uriah Heep posturing. All the theories about a Lanyard Class are confirmed in that sorry, grey, joyless personage.
I love the term the "lanyard class". If you've lived in Britain till working age you're more than familiar with these people. Their authority is derived not from their intellect, not from their wisdom or experience, but from the badge they hold.
God forbid you point out their errors as they will divert all their energy to destroying you. A great recent example was that chap who took it upon himself to clean up a river after the Environment Agency had failed to do their job. Did he get thanks for saving them a task? Absolutely not, he was threatened with prosecution for doing their job for them. The lanyard class hate when they're shown to be the empty suits they are.
Remember there is nothing new under the sun. The current government is merely running through the playbook of the Soviet Union. Yuri Bezmenov described ideological subversion as a four-stage process, and western governments are treating it like a guide. I encourage you to familiarise yourself with that process and it will sound eerily familiar.

This class of people have institutional authority, from hospital and school administrators to corporate HR departments to compliance officers, code enforcers, LEOs, judges, administrators, adjusters, adjudicators, and processors. They have grown like mushrooms after a rainstorm and have put their tentacles into virtually every aspect of life. Now it seems the end run will be to replace them with AI systems which say no and make life miserable without even a chance at getting an adjustment to some arbitrary dictates. But what jobs would be left if we had to employ them all elsewhere?
"Since the Second World War the Liberal State has been against its people and increasingly disconnected from their interests and their thinking.". That rings true. The thing that really makes me angry is the ****holes are getting away with it.

I remember an older gentleman on YT in the late 00s, who first caught my attention when he talked about this group 'Common Purpose' and how its members would re-engineer society, as their courses were mostly all given to public sector workers. CP was pushed by the likes of Blair and Brown (Fabians, of course) and their customers included The Met, but more interesting was their link with the 'Marxist' think-tank Demos, which was helping both the Conservatives and Lib-Dems create policy. Of course they were political, and charities by their very nature are supposed to be apolitical, however they were linked to the EU, and other powerful institutions. They operated under Chatham House rules too, which made them pretty insidious as they were trying to shape society using their networks in Europe and the UK, all resembling a shadow government.
Basically you may have thought you had a vote, but you actually voted for a designated leader (Burnham, anyone?).
Exposing them made you an 'extremist'.
The old gentleman was clairvoyant because he predicted we were headed for a police state. He also asked the question, 'why is nothing working at the moment?', which today appears as the paralysis we find ourselves in when looking at our organizations and institutions. One final note was how CP was trying to use charities as political organizations, which translates into the plethora of NGOs and Quangos we find ourselves in today. CP was also instrumental in proposing that the state broke up the family unit and allow it to take over.
My past employer, a once catholic hospital, was gobbled up by a huge secular system. 5 years ago they passed out, to every employee, a rainbow enhanced thermos style water bottle.. that rainbowed company logo was quickly covered by a large sticker of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. ❤️❤️ ✝️

My father was one of the most decent fellows to have ever walked upon gods green Earth. Spent his life as professional care giver, ministering to the less fortunate souls. Worked from 7 AM to 11 Pm at night- and I am not exaggerating. Six days a week. We saw him at 6 pm, for 30 minutes. He enjoyed reading the bible to his kids. Mother had made all the meals. Often cross with him. Took time off Sunday morning to go to church.
Years later I ran into C Everertt Coop- he signed a copy of his book which i gave to my father- the inscription was- Charles- Remembering to Good old days.
Ok My Dad loved board games. Monopoly- He would buy everything he landed on- then mortgage what he had bought to buy more. i don't think i ever beat him at chess- but when I cried as a 4 year old- he got in big trouble with ma.
It was a no -win for him. I knew when he let me win. I didn't like that either.
