I don’t know much about the political details in your country, but when I read that people could be arrested for praying silently in front of an abortion site, the reality of “thought police” made me shudder.

Case in point, my civil marriage to a non-practicing Jewish man, (I was a non-practicing Catholic at that time), was correctly not recognized as a marriage in the “eyes of the Church”.
When, after the civil marriage, I desired to return to the Catholic Church and to the reception of the Sacraments, I was told I could have the marriage “blessed” if my husband agreed to have any children, conceived in our marriage, raised Catholic. He absolutely was not open to that and eventually I filed for divorce and became a practicing Catholic again. So many years later, I was a daily Communicant, I was shocked to hear during a “homily” that there is no need for those of the Jewish faith to convert because they have their own Covenant with God. Wow, really?
But since then Bergoglio announced that it doesn’t even matter what religion you practice (I consider this apostasy). I guess my concerns and experiences don’t amount to “a hill of beans” under the Vatican II umbrella of deceit.
