I dont know about the Fourth Reich as ideologies where they have longevity, do so because they evolve and change. There is a famous picture of Hitler present as a young man at a prominent Jewish communists funeral shortly after WW1, who he followed. The Jewish thing was an addition to his socialism and I do not believe his ideology was ever his own, more a mosaic of ideas that appealed to different sections of what was his audience and those he worked for, that became his own over time. He was a popularist playing on the fear and anxiety of a population labouring under the Weimar Republic and all that sort of stood for. Economically and culturally it was a disaster. The Jewish bogeyman was easy to find and utilise sadly. People who do well and propound academic and political ideologies at the expense of a populace always seem to end up being scapegoated. They actually believe that imported goods add to the economy and exported goods subtract from it. Only somebody with a fat salary that depends on the trade of citizen dignity for cash could ever believe such a fiction.

I suspect the inflation started in the USA that allows the USA to buy back its own debt while regulating stable coins as a pre-cursor to CBDC is one way of cementing the USD as a world currency as it will be immovable and dominate the online space of CBDC's going forward. The opposite effect is at play in the UK and the EU, try as it has to get ahead of the curve, appears to be fracturing and a new mark or franc will kill those dreams stone dead. China has a population issue, one it cannot escape. It cannot win a technology war, it copies and optimises it doesn't innovate, and its interventions in USA politics have been largely exposed now and publicly at that, Xi has been quiet over recent geopolitical events his government making appropriate noises but unilaterally, not through the UN or elsewhere and not with much conviction. Its main influence has been over Putin and quite but public insistence that Ukraine needs to end. Resources in the end, regardless of who owns them, are resources and if you need them, trade is possible with anyone preferred owner or not. A lot hinges on who succeeds Trump. A Democrat reversion would be disastrous globally, a Republican not aligned with Trump maybe more so. Consistency of approach there is what is needed, for that long game to play out and those players in the game to plan and strategise to their benefit knowing the other players hold no surprises. Geopolitics gets dangerous when there are perceived weaknesses, and surprises in approach that dont align with actions. Such as peace maker Obama and his insistence on dropping more bombs than Bush. Inconsistent and impossible to deal with diplomatically. Interesting times!

All in all my opinion is this is the Fourt Reich attempting to take control aka EU, British and US Nazi digital Gulag, the Fabians et al are much the same. All appallingly nefarious as it can get.
I dont know about the Fourth Reich as ideologies where they have longevity, do so because they evolve and change. There is a famous picture of Hitler present as a young man at a prominent Jewish communists funeral shortly after WW1, who he followed. The Jewish thing was an addition to his socialism and I do not believe his ideology was ever his own, more a mosaic of ideas that appealed to different sections of what was his audience and those he worked for, that became his own over time. He was a popularist playing on the fear and anxiety of a population labouring under the Weimar Republic and all that sort of stood for. Economically and culturally it was a disaster. The Jewish bogeyman was easy to find and utilise sadly. People who do well and propound academic and political ideologies at the expense of a populace always seem to end up being scapegoated. Revolutionary France is a good example. Doesn't excuse the policies and behaviour of the Nazi regime, but was predictable and I would suspect there were those ready to exploit that turmoil outside the Nazi party. Remember appeasement was a policy by the greatest empire the world had ever known, in spite of Hitler telling the British exactly what he was about to do. The fact appeasement is seen as a viable approach at any level in a negotiation is rather odd. You appease when you are junior, not senior, and only if there is a definable scope of outcome for that tactic. Irrespective of that, I would suggest its not a Fourth Reich but an evolved technocracy of sorts that we face, which is still an unelected central cabal dictating life and how to live it to the whole, and certainly it appears not to the whole populace benefit but rather their own. The times may change but nothing much changes with them, as the saying goes.
Trump is more Jacksonian by nature, but he steps into Hamiltonian economics on industrial policy. There is a structural reason for this. The dollar as a global reserve currency. The financial elites and the pro-government types love the fact that the dollar is the reserve currency. For the government types its an additional credit card for government borrowing. For the financial elites it empowers their invisibles empires- the export of services in return for goods, along with a opaque structure of foreign ownership and holding companies facilitated by American finance charging a fee for investing money for Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Funds, by far the largest growth sector in the private equity market. They actually believe that imported goods add to the economy and exported goods subtract from it. Only somebody with a fat salary that depends on the trade of citizen dignity for cash could ever believe such a fiction.
The dollar as a reserve currency worked very well after the Second World War when most of America's competition had been bombed into industrial oblivion, but there was always going to come a point when the structural demand for dollars in return for goods was going to hollow out American productive enterprise. Unlike Britain, where a large percentage of university educated have been deluded into the the belief that an economy can run on finance and Deliveroo, 80% of Americans want manufacturing returned to America's shores and one quarter of those want manufacturing jobs instead of the shitty, low status, and demeaning service sector jobs they are currently forced to work to retain at least a little dignity.
The problem with neoliberalism was the basic inelasticity of human labour. People can succeed in all manner of different lifepaths, but number of types of work in which they are capable of flourishing is relatively finite. Neoliberalism believed in the Blank Slate, the belief that anyone could be educated to do anything. When the American government tried to train coalminers to be coders the success rate was very close to 0%.
Trump wasn't the first to resurrect the Spirit of the Liberty Ships and try to resuscitate American industrial might. Nixon tried the Nixon shock. He was the most popular president on record at the time of his election. He made finance apoplectic with his actions, both in America and Europe. Within a relatively short space of time the Watergate scandal came to light, mainly through the investigate work of an inexperienced rookie journalist, Bob Woodward, whose past job history included a stint at the CIA, and who 'coincidentally' managed to stumble onto a source called Deep Throat, without whom the Watergate scandal never would have unravelled.
I agree that the trade war with Canada is destructive, but Carney hasn't been helping matters by getting into bed with the one country which the Trump Admin sees as their civilisational competitor, China. It's interesting that a more productive relationship could greatly benefit America. Canada has the largest amount of unrealised big hydro capacity in the world. With a genuine large infrastructure project which sidesteps the Western tendency towards regulatory overload, that hydro capacity could help America win the Compute war with China.

I suspect the inflation started in the USA that allows the USA to buy back its own debt while regulating stable coins as a pre-cursor to CBDC is one way of cementing the USD as a world currency as it will be immovable and dominate the online space of CBDC's going forward. The opposite effect is at play in the UK and the EU, try as it has to get ahead of the curve, appears to be fracturing and a new mark or franc will kill those dreams stone dead. China has a population issue, one it cannot escape. It cannot win a technology war, it copies and optimises it doesn't innovate, and its interventions in USA politics have been largely exposed now and publicly at that, Xi has been quiet over recent geopolitical events his government making appropriate noises but unilaterally, not through the UN or elsewhere and not with much conviction. Its main influence has been over Putin and quite but public insistence that Ukraine needs to end. Resources in the end, regardless of who owns them, are resources and if you need them, trade is possible with anyone preferred owner or not. A lot hinges on who succeeds Trump. A Democrat reversion would be disastrous globally, a Republican not aligned with Trump maybe more so. Consistency of approach there is what is needed, for that long game to play out and those players in the game to plan and strategise to their benefit knowing the other players hold no surprises. Geopolitics gets dangerous when there are perceived weaknesses, and surprises in approach that dont align with actions. Such as peace maker Obama and his insistence on dropping more bombs than Bush. Inconsistent and impossible to deal with diplomatically. Interesting times!
Inconsistency was one of the reasons why the relationship grew colder on the Chinese side. Another was the Left's insistence on cultural imperialism. They may preach cultural relativism, but they become highly imperialistic when the value they want to evangelise to other culture happens to be one of their sacred values. Just this morning my YouTube feed included a clip of an African leader being interrogated and badgered by a female Western journalist about his views on LGBT.
The other thing about China is that they always had the objective of taking first position in terms of superpower status. To begin with they thought they could use economics. Then they pivoted to technology. Finally, when their growth slowed in the middle income phase, they began to build out their military.
They are actually quite innovative, but a lot of their own IP generation lacks the laser focus on monetisation which the Americans have. We Brits are the same. An American entrepreneur who invented Raspberry Pi would have been out for the money from the start. The British inventor only created it because he had noticed the decline in the quality of his IT students, and wanted to create something which had the same effect as the ZX81 or Spectrum and generate a new generation of hobbyists. Making money was only an afterthought.
We came up graphene. At the same time that China were spending $100 billion and the Americans were doing the same to develop its commercial applications, we had raised $5 billion and our chief thought was to create everlasting trainer treads! Not very much repeat business! A bit like The Man in the White Suit (1951).
My bet is on Marco Rubio. Although he's always been more pro-blue collar, he used to be soft on immigration. That's changed now. It's not a skin deep change. He possesses the underlying foundational thinking which shows that he's gone through an intellectual evolution. My main suspicion of Rubio is that he doesn't really reference Patrick Deneen as a source of influence. Vance is far more keen on Deneen.

Doc, I go round and round with E Michael Jones about the way he says “the Jews”. While I think EMJ is very effective and courageous, if he were on a higher platform he would be obliterated by Jewish power through the media and through their network of loyal soldiers. So I don’t disagree with Jones but I think his function is to influence influencers, and then the influencers like Carlson—who probably follow him—start chiming in without committing suicide by sounding like a Nazi. Even though we’re not Nazis, just people who are putting all the pieces together after being lied to in schools. Still, EMJ lashes out at people when they don’t say the two words.
Younger people are noticing patterns at an alarming rate, as far as the ADL is concerned. They are right to be concerned. They also lack the ability to realize that they (and Israel's brutality) are a major reason that opinion has swung so drastically against them.
A lot of the old magic words used to smear people (racist, homophobe, antisemite) are losing their power. People in the West, looking back over the wreckage of a great civilization, have had enough and appear to be ready and willing to wrestle their nations back from those who smashed them.

I think you've identified the problem with politics as it's currently carried out. Politicians are people and Parties are tribal. History is peppered with accounts of individuals and tribes who were at each others' throats even though their beliefs were almost identical.
Perhaps it's time to quit being nice and save your country and culture before it gets infinitely worse. Maybe King Arthur will return to lead but a healthy Plan B might be warranted.
