Iran wins regardless. They can hold out long enough for the midterms to hand Trump political defeat. In the meantime we have worldwide famine as farmers can’t afford fertilizer. We have out of sight inflation with oil well over $100/bbl. The US can’t replace its arsenal fast enough meaning China takes over Taiwan. The national debt in the US? The dollar weakening?
All because Trump listens to nobody but himself and yes! Benjamin Netanyahu.
However Frank, what choice did America have? Kamala Harris? A lose/lose situation.
But the demise of America didn’t come down to the 2024 elections. America has been committing suicide on the installment plan for 80 years.
So back to Iran? They win even if they’re bombed into oblivion.
America? Their loss is the result of abject moral decay (as is the Western world) and the fuse for this debacle began with the Catholic Church. The first domino to fall was the loss of its moral compass.
I didn’t think any US president would be mad enough to cop for this war, least of all Trump, so I got rugged as much as anyone. He was welcomed as a break with the empire of lies, which he then continued with a flourish, and appears to have now brought it to its demise.
Politics will get very interesting next. Reality will certainly matter.
Mr. Wright, the break from reality is a product of the organized crime background of President Trump’s mentors. They are children of Austria-Hungary’s state sponsored human trafficking mafia out of Galicia. Dissociation is how they relate to themselves and the world. They are con-men.
And now he’s kissing up to China. The only thing Trump cares about is Trump. Everyone now sees him for what he really is.
But then? Kamala?
Please God send us two things. First a holy pope and holy priests. Second? A holy pope and holy priests. Start there. Oh and can they be heterosexuals? But of course! There aren’t any practicing holy homosexuals any more than there are holy adulterers.
China, Russia, The USA, + India and Japan are the new CORE5 that will direct the new world order. The western Hemisphere and Asia are the future. Europe is nearly irrelevant having lost, nearly, all their cultures to emigration. Fools. Catch up to the new reality. PrometheanAction.com explains what you fail to see, so far...
Interesting essay, coming from the British Empire, perspective. In America It's called a visionary. Aren't any actual solutions or alternatives visionary? Inherently speaking, you have to agree with that fact: "the world is a mess."
Trump has been an epic, almost unbelieveable, solid winner domestically and nationally within the borders. 200% approval from me.
This, and Im going to say it, Jew Toadying War is quite literally for me a "fly in the ointment". I voted for him three times. This war situation disgusts me to no end. Fuck Israel. Fuck Netenyahoo, that mustached little troll Bolton, the ADL, and for that matter , fuck Iran as well. I have zero evidence for any reason for the USA to be involved over there, or indirectly...sending money, weapons, or other aid. Leave my nation and my wallet out of it. Trump is the best president we've had in my lifetime, and STILL, he's a tool for Israel, offering us all as a war chest and mercenary.

Very convincing article. Open question as to whether Trump 2.0 is suffering early onset dementia, on top of his innate penchant for hyperbole. Many insiders say yes and expect this to get worse. Will Trump be the president who «lost Taiwan»? Quite possibly. The Rubio vs Vance clash is heating up fast.
I’ve just come across your Substack, and🙏🏽you for this invaluable article. I’ve restacked it and cross posted it on X and FB.
The themes you’ve covered above are right inside my own wheelhouse. Indeed I’ll now be name checking this piece in my next article, as it ties in extremely well with my basic narrative. The working title of this current project is “Mister Trump’s Political Theatre of the Absurd”, which should give some hint of what to expect. Information about (and a link to) my most recent published piece can be seen below, and it also crosses over into similar thematic terrain. It in fact is an (only slightly) updated version of an article I penned in the wake of Mister Trump’s 2016 election victory, and I thought given the circumstances it was worth a republish. Once again 🙏🏽. You’ve added more ‘grist to the mill’. Whatever we might say about the POTUS du jour, his “mill” can never have enough “grist”. Put another way, it’s a very hungry beast.—GM

This article (👀⬇️) was written in the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory in 2016, and therefore should be read—by and large—in the context of its time.
I’m reprising it here as its media and propaganda focussed themes/motifs are I feel as relevant now as they were then.
Perhaps they are even made all the more so given Mr Trump’s surprise re-election for an unprecedented second term after his unceremonious ouster in 2020.
All this, to say little of the fact that since that time we continue to witness (or at least some of us do)
a) a marked deterioration in the quality, integrity and credibility of our public and political discourse; and
b) an increased determination by our 'elite' castes to sabotage the means by which we might challenge such discourse.
Make of it this article what you will. It pulls no punches.
Keep in mind it was penned 10 years ago, and matters at hand have hardly improved in that time.
Feel free to circulate as you see fit. Indeed, there’s never been a more pressing time for us to sound the clarion call, so share widely and talk to your friends and familiars about
a) the issues the article attempts to raise; and
b) the implications of us ignoring these issues.
It’s the least we can do.
One more thing pilgrims whilst I still have your 'complete n' undivided'. Stay tuned for my forthcoming tirade—a performance appraisal of sorts—on the aforesaid Mister Trump and his political theatre of the absurd. I expect it's gonna be an exercise akin to shooting barramundi in a barrel. GM=====
ARTICLE EXTRACT: '...The singular reality (the concept itself under serious challenge in this not-so-brave new fake/junk news universe we inhabit) of our present malaise is that our front-line political practitioners are first and foremost entertainers, performance artists, illusionists, and snake oil 'sell-men', all the while seeking to dumb-down, trivialise, dismiss outright, or relegate to the margins serious political and policy debate if the substance of said debate conflicts with their own agenda or self-serving interests, and/or those of their political patrons.
In short, it’s the sizzle stupid, not the sausage that matters in the Western media universe. This state of affairs has transpired under our very noses, perhaps hidden in plain sight for some, but nonetheless enabled in no small measure by our own acquiescence, complacency, and ignorance.
This, to say nothing of:
👉 the blind faith we all too frequently and fervently invest both in our democratic and corporate institutions and our political leaders;
👉 our unthinking, jingoistic acceptance of the official narrative attending some of our most treasured historical myths and more contemporary beliefs;
👉 our unflagging lust for new and frivolous entertainment and assorted, limitless distractions and diversions; and,
👉 what we might call an 'empathy deficit', translating as a depleted mindfulness of—and from there an absence of moral umbrage at—injustice, unfairness, and inequality!
It’s difficult all in all to see then how someone like Donald Trump might’ve risen to the top job if not for the prevalence of these pathologies!
Yet our own acquiescence, ignorance or complicity aside, it is our “blind faith” in one particular institution that has been the principal contributor to this malaise, and remains still its chief enabler.
In short, the zeitgeist as defined above has been eagerly expedited and accelerated by this one institution that purports to be the most reliable, trusted guardian of the imperatives of a liberal democracy.
We’re talking here, of course, the mainstream (or establishment/legacy) media—particularly the corporate controlled, so-called liberal media, itself a descriptor eligible for immediate inclusion into the Official Orwellian lexicon...
It is this institution—and the folks who populate it and to which they proudly yet all too blithely proclaim an eternal professional devotion—that touts itself as the terminal bulwark against those aforementioned “pathologies”.
In all of these concerns, its ‘core product’ the truth (or even a reasonable facsimile thereof) is routinely abbreviated, anonymised, and/or attenuated if presented for serious scrutiny at all—the lies just as routinely accentuated, augmented and/or amplified to accommodate the desired narrative du jour...
In this milieu, as I like to say, truth is always the bridesmaid, never the bride. At best! At worst, she dies an old maid, with mourners few and far between.'
Hello Mr Maybury! You seem like a very interesting person and I am glad to have read what you posted here. I think you and I have a lot in common. Pleased to meet you!
Very interesting. The number of people Trump is bamboozling with his reality-free declarations is dwindling, but still substantial. Potential defenders of Orange Hitler's fuhrerbunker have made themselves known since the war began.
Has there ever been a nation that squandered its position of dominance as quickly as the US has in less than 4 decades? A thoroughly corrupt leadership has brought nothing but hardship for its citizenry. They view us as nothing but tax cattle to fund wars and to siphon money to predatory businesses.
Frankly speaking, its not only a war to prevent Iran from achieving its nuclear ambitions, ala N. Korea. Trump is committed to ending 200 years of British imperial rule. After London became the satrapy of the Dutch after William and Mary showed up, the Dutch East India Company formed the British East India Company, which later merged with the British Monarchy after the Seven Years' War, to form the British Empire. Did you get all that, Frank? This Anglo-Dutch power arrangement shaped the world for hundreds of years to come, by war, coups, counter coups, Sikes-Pico, and other secret agreements. Iran has operated as Britain cockpit for war along with its adversary Israel. Another Britiish creation. These two have been battling each other on and off since 1947. Trump is the first Presidential leader to take both Iran and Israel off the British chessboard. Is it a checkmate? Not yet, but it will be. If Trump gets his way, the UK will join the community of principle Trump is establishing between the U.S., Russia, China, India, and Japan. This Corp Five group of nations will be strong enough economically, politically, and militarily to bury the City of London's financial system. It's dead anyway, so why prolong its agony? Iran's people will, in the end, be happy as hell to join the Abraham Accords. It's going to happen. So grabbed some popcorn and bucket up. It's going to be a fun ride.

America will implode worse than the Soviets did... this Military Defeat to Iran will be its Final war, after which sundry convergent crises in politics, economics, civics & society shatter it into dozens of statelets... all engaged in a Hobbesian’ all against all’ sequence of Dirty Wars (not 'civil wars') against One another for the next two centuries... cementing power vacuums of the New Dark Age (not 'multipolarity') that get us half a dozen or more World Wars... thanks to the death of America giving other nations the signal 'now is your Time to fight to the death.'
That’s a heap of Trump analysis that never talks about the dominance America now has with energy flows, satellite deployment, nongovernmental economic growth, air power/weaponry, agriculture, and high quality manufacturing
My obviously invidious response is that is cope, and that America in its grand strategy, foreign relations, deepening domestic crisis and profoundly dubious foreign influence is becoming a rather toxic laughing stock. I refer to the political elites and their actions, rather than the people, who are our cousins and of whom we remain very fond. Much of what the White House puts out directly contradicts reality and we can all see that.
Obama and Biden negotiated with Iran by lifting sanctions and giving them money and they prospered and developed their weapons and strength. Trump said he’d be negotiating by “bombing the shit out of them” and now they got dead leaders, no serious weapons left and China now buys its oil from the US so they are too skint to be funding our Enemies. What utter pussies we have become to want to keep placating these evil bastards and letting them dictate to us in fear that they will hurt us economically. The idea that this has check mated the yanks is preposterous. This is a minor bit of old fashioned gun boat diplomacy and I much prefer it to the pathetic capitulation of the recent past.
Iran wins regardless. They can hold out long enough for the midterms to hand Trump political defeat. In the meantime we have worldwide famine as farmers can’t afford fertilizer. Thanks, Frank. I love your commitment to reality 😀. Beautiful writing too.
