The Academy of Motion Pictures updated its official rules stating that A I generated actors and writers would not be eligible for nominations (this is to the best of my understanding).
I need to clarify what I wrote earlier today regarding A I generated “religious art” where I refer in a derogatory way to the word man, or rather “man hours”. I’m being sarcastic, because of course I love all of mankind and respect the man hours we put into meaning work. But what angers me, and I believe many working humans beings, is the threat that Artificial Intelligence poses to many jobs and professions.
Possessing degrees in art myself, the idea of switching out a traditional looking religious painting with an A I generated one, and offering some reassurance that it’s been “blessed by a priest”, really hit a nerve with me.
I’ve included information regarding how the Academy of Motion Pictures has taken this issue very seriously as well.
I absolutely respect our good exorcists and the idea of online healing and deliverance sessions. But what I’m trying to drive home is that anyone, who considers the human dimension of their work or profession as absolutely safe from A I substitution or infringement, may want to think again. This is having a profound effect on our economic system and our society as a whole. I see legitimate use and purpose for A I. But aren’t there also reasons for alarm?
I agree with you LW and at this point am far less reasonable about it than you are. It’s not just mindrot - its soulrot. Problem is man forgets what he has lost and then he gets lost as well.
Remember the movie ‘Full Metal Jacket’ and the ball kicker colonel screamed that inside every Vietnamese was an American waiting to emerge? Well, it’s the same with this system.
Inside every human being according to their usury (financial sorcery) they expect that there is a consumer, just waiting to emerge and taint their souls for mammon.

Greetings Frank, good job! Had to read it several times ,some parts were a little hard to understand for a simple man such as I. But to my credit, I can fix,repair, restore,repurpose, modify and make new again pretty much any thing..The only thing I can't restore by myself is my soul...need God's Grace for that. Not if,but when Lawnie finally disintegrates, you might consider a goat or two so it won't feel lonely. They also reproduce, creating more lawn-eating machines.
Goatie is the GOAT and lawnie is for goatless losers like me. Would probably go for sheepie though as goatie had a go at me when i was little and i jave never got over it

I can't quite see who we will be asking and how they could respond in a way that does make the economy for us. Will reread your Rerum Novarum articles, but it would be great if you could explain that in a few coherent sentences.
We would never get the chance to ask and answer that question outwith a crisis of the magnitude we see unfolding now. It will be extremely painful, but it will be worth it, and we are all Big Guys after all lol
Perfect timing Frank, I’m seething just after opening another email from a very popular Catholic priest exorcist which featured another piece of Artificial Intelligence generated “religious” art that had been “blessed by a priest”.
When I read that, I totally lost interest in the “art” and dismissed studying its detail.
How could I have such a violent objection to a piece of AI generated “religious” art? Because the religious experience and reality of prayer, and dare I say the salvation of souls, is absolutely gutted from that fake “religious” art. Furthermore it wipes out future generations of, (what are those entities called again?), “human artists”from religions creations conceived through prayerful activities.
But isn’t the trade off justified? Just think of the savings! No messy paints, handmade brushes, wasted space dedicated as studios and certainly none of those expensive ‘man ( there’s that disgusting word again) hours’ spent in production. We have been liberated!
What if my popular exorcist and his team opened an AI generated email explaining that our online Healing and Deliverance Session scheduled for this evening will require the assistance of only one human Catholic priest to open the session with the Sign of the Cross and close the session with “Amen”. Everything else will be handled by and through Artificial Intelligence. After all, it’s “blessed by a priest.”
Throughout the day I’m constantly turning to AI for guidance, but it’s a prayer to Angelic Intelligence (the Faithful, not the fallen ones) which supersedes Artificial Intelligence, hands down. Try it, it makes all the difference in the cosmos!
