If you had told me 30 years ago that I would live in such interesting times, I would not have believed you. Some call it a 4th turning. I believe we are in times of fulfillment of the prophecies. Good will triumph over evil - that’s just how it ends.
Reading this reminds of the shift from a Ptolemaic to a Copernican model of the solar system. The former was challenged, but would not be displaced until the accumulated weight of evidence rendered it absurd.
We can describe such things as orthodoxy or consensus, but we really need to develop an understanding of the cost to sustain bad ideas.
