Today I spoke to Sean at TheoNerds about the technocratic managerialism which is translating our language, society and humanity into machine code.
I am writing a book about this. When Peter Cook was once told by someone that they were writing a book, he responded “Neither am I”.
This talk has prompted me to get on with this book, and also to explain what it is about.
In this two part post I will try to explain why the machine model of humanity and of society is so important in explaining what is happening to our world.
Machinery - technology - is the stated means by which the managers of mass society will overcome the limitations of human logic and action to perfect the technique of power.
My overview begins in the past, treats much of the present, and shows what kind of future is promised by the Godless prophets of Technianity.
