The propaganda by which Liberal democracies are disciplined into compliance has always been an attempt to displace fact with fantasy.
This explains the fascination with “waking up” the people.
What would this enlightenment mean?
Why, like any other utopia, does it never arrive?
The reason is simple. What is called awakening is simply the surprise of discovering the obvious.
