We are in a war for our entire way of life, and it is fought in the hearts and minds of our people to capture them for the enemy. In order not to become a casualty, it is essential you first recognise that you are in this fight whether you like it or not.

Secondly if you are in a fight you must know how to win.

If you prefer civilisation to madness, the national interest to international interests and God to Satan, it is helpful to know how the enemy operates.

The power of the way we are ruled is the capture of the minds of the public.

This is the aim of the political technique of the 20th century.

One of its most effective tactics is the promotion of victimhood as a means of securing personal and group advantage.

This post is about how that works, how to recognise one of its main techniques, and how to help others recover from the negative symptoms of this psychological bioweapon.

Recognising and rejecting DARVO is essential to the detransitioning of our people, our politics, and our society.

DARVO - DENY ATTACK, REVERSE VICTIM AND OFFENDER

There are many aspects to the toxic solvent of victim culture.

Here I will discuss DARVO, because once you understand how this works, the rest of this pernicious deception is exposed.

DARVO is an acronymn. It means

Deny Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.

Here I will explain why understanding this method of psychological warfare is vital to the recovery of your own independence of mind, your sanity, and the restoration of a common sense of the Common Good to our political economy.

WHY PEAK VICTIMHOOD IS SO POWERFUL

The international liberal system is designed to dissolve our nations and all peoples into a globally standardised world. The creation, sponsorship and political protection of factions of grievance melts our nations down.

The effect at scale is to mobilise masses of people into a sort of declaration of war on our civilisational norms. These factions are often antagonistic to one another, but collectively they destroy all social bonds and the basis of consensus reality, making entire nations incapable of agreeing within themselves.

This form of State-sanctioned social revolution results in a competition for the status of Peak Victim.

The collective lesson learned by the broadcast of the actions of these factions is that securing Peak Victimhood confers political and professional privilege, power and preferment.

Competition for Peak Victim replaces reason with hysteria, facts with propaganda and the truth with lies - in a design for life in which the most lurid of persecution fantasies are infused with the power to transfigure our sense of reality.

This is an example of moral inversion. I explained why this concept is important to understand how we are ruled by mass hysteria here:

And so on.

When you understand that all these grievance groups are constantly competing for the momentary and supreme privilege of Peak Victim, you will better understand what is meant by the various voodoo curses thrown at you to shame you into submission to their claims1.

NARRATIVES OF DARVO

The reason people around the world dislike Israel and its lobby is not due to an irrational hatred of a particular group.

The reason many women and men view the trans cult with revulsion is again due to the reality of this industry of human vandalism and not the product of a bigoted prejudice.

The reason for the demands for the reversal of mass migration is not the result of baseless hatred but the evidence of their now routine rape and murder of our men, women and children.

With racial crime statistics and the horrendous reality of the pathogenic male homosexualist lifestyle2 it is knowledge and not ignorance which produces a consensus of rejection of the Diversity Delusion.

In every case of so-called irrational hatred it is a matter of fact, not opinion, which shapes negative views of the actions of these groups at scale.

When the facts speak for themselves a subversive tactic is required to discredit them, and anyone who dares to defend the truth.

This demonises the normal and normalises the demonic effects of these sponsored demolition crews3.

The tactic deployed to do this is the presentation of the offender as victim, and the reframing of the victims, which include you and me, as the only problem to be solved.

TOXIC EFFECTS OF DARVO

The demonisation and criminalisation of people who have sane and normal objections to being routinely victimised has several toxic effects.

One is to label the truth as a liability carrying serious risks. Another is to normalise the permission of often criminal behaviour, providing an excuse for socially and morally destructive displays recast as rights-defending rebellion.

A further is to sublimate the outrage people feel at the universal injustice of the political economy which rules us, and is in fact degrading us all into a disposable product according to its own values and standards.

Finally, the use of DARVO labels everyone perceived to be a member of a grievance group as equally guilty of the reversal of victim and offender. This makes all members of the group equally culpable, as recognition grows that this is a technique used to designate normal and natural instincts against despicable actions as a sort of mental illness.

In time, DARVO groups therefore become extremely polarising, as by their existence they compel each individual to pick a side - theirs or that of the enemy, which is everyone outside their group.

The recruitment of “allies” whether paid, blackmailed or pressured magnifies the polarising power of these industries of discord.

If we do not recognise and reject the destructive designs of the DARVO mobs we will be consumed in a melting pot of mutual resentment which no amount of reasoned argument can ever cool down.

MASS DETRANSITION

The DARVO industry is one example of how the hearts and minds of people in the “free world” are mobilised into hysterical demands to destroy our civilisation.

I often advise you to consider those messaged into derangement by its sponsors as casualties of a war to define the terms and conditions of our inner and outer lives.

If you understand how this is achieved it is akin to understanding how a disease is transmitted. DARVO and the wider grievance industry is best understood as a sort of biowarfare in which we are turned into weapons against one another.

It is an example of the power of social contagion, which is the transmission of a diseased vector by means of communication. This is the reason for speech laws, censorship, censure and propaganda, because the saturation of the public mind with consistently managed messaging is essential to secure the optimal conditions for real life virality.

We are all to some degree infected by these weapons of mass psychological warfare. We have been transitioned into a pseudo-reality whose spell can and must be broken for the restoration of the dignity of our lives.

We who are recovering are faced with the task of leading a mass detransition of our friends present and future, so that we may once again be a people with a higher purpose than personal advantage at any social cost.

DETRANSITIONING FROM DARVO

Tell your friends and enemies about DARVO. Warn them that this trick is being played on us all, to replace reason with zelotic fury, making just and humane solutions to the crisis we inhabit not only impossible, but unthinkable.

DARVO produces a disgust for evidence in the infected. It makes hostility to the facts a virtue, and fuses the emotional and spiritual purpose of its subjects to the objectives of the ruling elite. This technique is deeply evil, as it places in the mark a missionary zeal to pursue and defend destructive actions without limit.

Remember that a practical definition of evil is a principle which destroys - whether at the level of the State or that of the Self.

What we desperately need is a recognition of the basic facts of reality on which to build a future politics and economics which promotes human flourishing.

We cannot have a political economy of the Common Good if we have nothing in common.

The function of the DARVO factions is to make a life worth living unimaginable. Their presence makes an absence of the real victims of every crime committed by policy against us all, for our entire lives. DARVO is a corrupt cop living rent free in your head which prosecutes your instinct against evil.

We cannot do better than this obscene regime if we cannot permit ourselves to perceive basic facts about reality. If our best instincts are silenced by ourselves, our collective victimisation will be so complete as to become the only norm we ever knew.

This leads to a world of internalised algorithms, censoring us into subjection with no power to object.

The counter-revolution must begin within ourselves, as home is where the heart is, and its recapture with our minds is now a matter of life or death.

I will offer some more practical tactics to survive and recover from this war on our civilisation in future.

This will lead to serious internal strife as the party fights to reconcile its sales pitch with the message from its sponsors.

That is why I believe from now on the only way for Reform UK is down.

Restore Britain have broken out of the containment trap which has prevented any alternative to business as usual being offered in British elections.

This is one obvious result of coming third in the Makerfield byelection - and there is another which has strategic value in our national effort to save the nation.

This is the fact that the British people are now taking a long hard look at what is behind the Reform brand.

As we shall see here, support for Reform UK is a matter of make-belief, and the facts behind that matter are so damning that their claim to be capable of leading the country cannot be taken seriously.

Reform UK is an act - whose players will not act in the National Interest.

The Populist Bubble Bursts

Populism is not a politics. It is a counter-Liberal spasm.

This means parties like Reform UK simply coast on the popular disaffection with Business As Usual under the forced consensus of our political system.

Populism is a big NO to All That.

This works as long as there is nothing else on offer. Now there is a party which says YES to Something Else. A party which clearly states what it is for, what it will do, why it will do it, how it will be done, and for what reason.

That party is .

This difference is profoundly significant. The presence of Restore Britain at the national level offers the British people a real alternative at a time of national crisis. This crisis is so severe - existential in fact - that a populist protest vote against the establishment is not sufficient.

The reason the Reform UK bubble is bursting is because Restore Britain offer voters what they think they will get from Reform UK. Support for Reform is pure make-belief: by simply not being the Labour or Conservative Party, the belief is made by default that Reform are a genuine hope to save the nation from their disastrous agenda.

From now on, attention will be directed on what - and who - Reform UK are really for.

This will kill the brand, as what is in the box is not what Reform’s supporters think they are buying.

NIGEL MIRAGE

I like to call Nigel Farage this for good reason. He appears like a shimmering promise of survival in a desert forlorn of hope. When you approach him, however, the promise he and his party presents turns out to be an illusion.

Just like the party he leads, Nigel is not what his voters wish he is.

He is a populist fiction, and behind that veneer of disaffection blended with rebellious hope he leads a party whose motives, leadership and dubious integrity present serious questions about their commitment to the National Interest.

Reform UK - Servants to The Lobby

Reform UK is wedded to the Israel Lobby. If you do not know why this matters, consider that the largest Israel lobby group in Europe is Conservative Friends of Israel1.

The second largest is Labour Friends of Israel.

Perhaps the newly minted Reform Friends of Israel will eclipse them both, as support migrates to the new hope of machine politics in Britain.

Whether you like Israel or not, it is obvious that allegiance to Israel is not in the British National Interest.

This unhealthy interest in the national interest of a foreign nation is not a strategic asset to anyone. Just ask the United States government.

In fact, being openly pro-Israel is now an albatross around the neck of any public figure still sufficiently captured to display themselves as such. This is simply a fact, rather than an opinion, as the actions of Israel have toxified the brand beyond recovery. As the consequences of Israel’s latest war continue to undermine our economy, Reform’s capture by its lobby will become a political liability.

They are selling Britain out to a strategic failure.

A STRATEGIC LIABILITY

What does it say about the political instincts of a party seeking a “deepening commitment” to Israel at a time when Israel is becoming a pariah on the world stage? What could motivate such a commitment to a strategic liability in the teeth of basic political common sense?

Israel’s lobby remains in place, but its power has become a political liability. Israel’s actions have led the US to a strategic defeat in the Middle East, have had a serious impact on the global economy, and the fallout will continue to cascade with era-defining economic and geopolitical consequences.

What does it say about the political instincts of Reform UK that they would hitch the fortunes of our nation to this sinking ship?

If you do not care about Israel’s actions abroad, which include serious crimes against Christians in the birthplace of Christianity, I would ask you to consider what sort of British patriot can in good conscience support a nation declared independent after a campaign of criminal violence against we British?

Reform - Israel First?

Regime change wars urged by Israel have driven mass migration into Britain and the West to record levels. The regime that has changed most in the past four decades of the Oded Yinon Plan is our own.

Why do Reform UK support a foreign power whose constant wars fuel our demographic replacement?

Reform’s deputy leader Richard Tice visited Israel in September 2025 and met the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Israeli President Isaac Herzog2. Whilst he was there, he pledged Reform UK’s “unwavering support” for Israel - promising that Britain would follow Israel into international diplomatic isolation should Reform UK come to power.

Tice wanted the RAF to bomb Iran for Israel - urging Britain to be dragged into yet another war that is not in our national interest.

Suella Braverman was the Chair of Conservative Friends of Israel from 2024. She was paid over £27 000 that year by an Israel lobby group and took a four day trip to Israel. Her husband Rael Braverman is Jewish, has lived in Israel, and Braverman claims she has “family members” in the IDF, which was founded in part by members of terrorist groups which attacked and killed we British in the Mandate of Palestine.

Robert Jenrick wanted to display the “Star of David” at British ports of entry. When he stood for leader of the Conservative Party, the MP Alan Duncan said Jenrick could not be permitted to lead the country as he “took his script directly from Israel”. He has accepted significant donations from “family friend” Idan Ofer, an Israeli arms dealer who supplies Israel with weapons.

Jenrick’s wife is an Israeli. Jenrick describes himself as the father of a Jewish family and is raising his three daughters in the Jewish religion.

Nigel Farage strongly supported Israel’s war on Iran, which has provoked a strategic and international disaster whose limits are still not currently defined, and whose impact on our economy will see his robust support for a war which has seriously undermined it come back to haunt him.

This is a clear instance of a complete disregard for the strategic National Interest of Britain in favour of those of a foreign and unarguably hostile power.

Jason Pearlman is the head of Reform Friends of Israel. Pearlman, who in April 2026 still lived in Israel, is the former media adviser to the Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

Pearlman is one of three pro-Israel figures with prominent roles in Reform. Another is former UKIP Leader Lois Perry, strategic director of Reform Friends of Israel.

Perry recently repeated the Israeli atrocity propaganda lie that “burned and beheaded babies” were found on October 7th - a claim invented by Eli Beer to make money, and debunked by Israeli investigative journalists by the 8th of November, 2023.

A third is Alan Mendoza, Reform’s chief global affairs adviser. As Declassified reported in April 2026:

“Less well known is that Mendoza is also president of the Jewish National Fund (JNF UK), a British charity that lists Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as an honorary patron – and has reportedly given £1m to Israel’s “largest militia“.

Finally, Lee Anderson, who was once endorsed by Lois Perry, has been staunchly pro-Israel for years, and was paid £3 300 in 2022 to take a Tice Tour of Israel.

COUNTER-JIHAD - NOT REMIGRATION

Reform UK’s migration rhetoric is largely confined to criticism of Islam, ignoring the wider demographic replacement of mass migration.

This position is explained by their close alignment with the Grand Strategy of Israel, which is to sponsor nations like Britain to mirror Israel’s domestic policies3.

This “counter-jihad” mentality is a product of foreign influence, as though there is clearly a problem with importing Islam and its customs into our home nations, it is obviously one of many arising from intentional demographic replacement which Reform refuse to reverse.

The sane and humane solution is to send these people home to avoid more rape, murder and strife. Yet instead, Reform UK support a foreign state which prefers forever war, genocide and state terrorism - and whose failed grand strategy threatens to bankrupt us all, morally and financially.

What kind of future does this promise for our children? I do not want to live in Gaza, but in the Britain I knew as a boy.

Reform UK will do nothing to restore that Britain.

Nigel Farage said the mass deportations necessary to maintain order and preserve the future of our people are “impossible”.

Richard Tice has said he does not care we are going to be replaced, as he will be “long gone” by then. Self interest and foreign interests are on display on the Reform front bench - to the obvious detriment of the interest of our nation and our people.

Reform UK farm anti-Islam sentiment whilst promising to do nothing. They did not take part in The Rape Gang Inquiry which was funded and undertaken by and its supporters, and which found that over 90% of the men who have raped our children for decades are moslems.

Reform UK refuses to address the root causes of the politics of national suicide which have reduced our children - and women - to products to be consumed by the savage lusts of predatory foreigners.

If you are interested in national survival Reform UK is not for you.

The Fatal Interest

This is not a superficial matter of lobbying Reform UK by a single foreign power.

This graphic illustrates a network of Israel-aligned politicians and powerbrokers, including the leading members of Reform UK, who accepted patronage and funding from organisations such as the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC).

MCC was bankrolled by the foreign government of Viktor Orban’s Hungary - noted for its strongly pro-Israel brand of “conservatism”.

Again, this is not a matter of whether you like Viktor Orban or not. Orban’s pro-family, counter-globalist Fidesz had many commendable policies. The fact of the matter is not preference - but patronage of British politicians by a foreign power.

Reform’s Matt Goodwin was a “visiting fellow” of the MCC - a position which typically paid up to 10 000 euros a month. James Orr, Reform UK policy chief, is reported to occupy several positions funded by this foreign network.

The integration of GB News into this network explains why they refuse to allow Rupert Lowe to speak live, and unedited, on their programmes.4

With the defeat of Viktor Orban this funding and influence network is now bankrupt. Aside from the acceptance of sponsorship from another foreign power, what does this say about the capability of Reform UK to be trusted with long term strategic planning in the British National Interest?

Reform UK is not a radical change from machine politics on the make.

It is business as usual with anti-establishment branding.

This is precisely the sort of international influence peddling which has captured our establishment and delivered us into the ruinous State we are in today.

Not Good Enough

Nigel Mirage’s wide boy image and the Dubai mentality of his associates - like Tice, his paramour Isabel Oakeshott, and the recently recruited Ant Middleton - speak of a party culture of personal profit seeking and self-interested opportunism.

Farage himself seems unserious about leading the country, and may not even continue as leader as the Reform brand falters into buyer’s remorse.

This is not good enough.

What is needed is a robust sense of duty with the inflexible dedication to service and sacrifice sufficient to inspire a National Effort to save the nation.

Without a higher sense of purpose than the self our nation cannot survive.

The Cringe Factor

The increased attention on what and who Reform are for is revealing another awkward fact: Reform UK is cringe.

Matt Goodwin, derided as MattGPT for his latest attempt on the literary life of the nation, is genuinely hard to watch.

Goodwin pops up like an Alan Partridge rehabilitated beyond his capability to convince anyone he is not a practical joke played at his own expense.

His unfortunate surname seems a sort of epitaph in advance, as he appears doomed to lose badly.

Mike Graham is a staunch Reform footsoldier incapable of marching past a Greggs. Mr Philip Kiszely, packaged as a Serious Thinker, acted like a man possessed when his sacred view of Israel was profaned by some basic facts.

These people are easily triggered, and have resorted to the same kind of voodoo curses which were thrown at Reform UK - “racist”, “antisemite” - etcetera.

In hindsight it appears this was done to the Reform brand to legitimise what is obviously a containment vehicle of popular discontent.

Calling Nigel’s latest caper edgy names positioned the utterly captured Reform UK as a seemingly-dangerous outlet for public outrage which in fact presents no danger whatsoever to the political economy which is ruining all our lives.

DON’T GET BURNED AGAIN

Reform UK are a flash in the pan, into which many of us jumped to escape the fire. As their supporters realise they are simply going to be cooked by a different implement, they will naturally prefer not to be burned again.

The result of the Makerfield byelection is that Reform will now be found out. This will lead to the perception that Reform were the future, once. This is the end of the Reform Surge.

It has stalled, and so the coughing engine of the party machine must now consolidate its position. I believe it will struggle to reconcile its policies with its increasingly disillusioned supporters, and internal ambitions and agendas will provoke a power-seeking turmoil which will prove difficult to conceal.

The easy ride is over, as the Teal Wave has broken. We are all now going into the Deep Blue Yonder of Restore or we go into the ground.

There were many good people who joined Reform UK. Some of those are already in Restore.

Many more will follow them, and for the same reason - they now have an offer which they cannot refuse, rather than one to which there is no alternative. Rupert Lowe has made that alternative a reality - not a mere illusion to disappoint our desperate people.

Thanks to Rupert Lowe, Britain now has a better offer than Nigel’s Mirage.

To refuse the offer of is to abandon the only hope of a political solution to the National Emergency.

Serious times demand serious measures.

Reform UK have rebranded themselves as a football team.

The life of the nation is at stake, and this cannot be trusted to a bunch of highly paid players on the take and on transfer from Team Boriswave and Lockdown FC5.

In the coming weeks to months the British people will suffer more because of Israel’s war, and will understand more of how the replacement of our people and our traditions is a product of the replacement of the national interest with international interests.

It is always fatal to powerbroking charlatans when ordinary people take an interest in politics. We live in a time when no one can afford to remain ignorant of how and why they are being ruled into extinction.

THE GREAT DETRANSITION

This is the Great Detransition, in which we all realise that a name does not say a thing into being.

Reform UK identify as something they are not.

They are the Dame in our pantomime politics, playing against the villain for automatic applause.

Deportations are not impossible. Immigration is not our strength6. We British are a people - not a picture on a postcard or a passport to be traded away for likes in the digital news cycle.

Restore Britain offers a serious politics of national restoration. It is not a collage of populist fantasies presented by career politicians, delivering messages from their sponsors as salvation.

Restore Britain is leading a National Detransition - from the insane and destructive mass delusions of the forced liberal consensus, from the doom-loop economics of dependence, from the politics of national suicide, and from the reliance on shady networks of international interests which put those of the British people last.

Britain does not need Reform - it needs a counter-revolution.

We must and we shall for the sake of our children and the future of our people.

SOMEWHERE PEOPLE

I am the sort of person who loves adventure but grumbles about airports. This means we go on holiday in England, that place outside the cities which can seem to a screen based perception of the country as alien as a night without sirens in London.

Holidaying in England allows us to be among people from a somewhere that we recognise, to answer in ourselves the call of home that has grown so faint.

It is a surprise to remember in this international nowhereland that there are still people who are from somewhere. People such as Northerners, like me, who can map a man by his accent.

This bat-like (and batty) talent is like echolocation but more for the purpose of insult and pillage than navigation. It helps to put a place to a voice, and therefore to a face. We know where - and who - we are. And we also know who we are not.

If you are from somewhere you either talk like it or you don’t. I do, because I am a serf, whose ancestors are more likely to be found spilling out of a drakkar on to a frosty beach, brewing beer and singing jolly songs, peopling the ranks of our army.

Truants, talesmiths and alehouse brawlers, fishermen and chatty lasses. Some of our names are on the wall at Thiepval1.

On the other hand there are people who are from somewhere but who don’t talk like it. These people are either:

2. Posh

3. Foreign

Let us see what they are like.

THE GREAT ESCAPE

I know a lawyer who once was a scouser, an idiom which his fancy university has patiently aetherised upon its examination table.

The middle class counterjumper is careful to erase his identity and the handicap it would have been. Careers are all theatre to some degree, the law being obviously performative.

To the Nowhere People, the career is the portal to a world away from the one which bore them. In this Great Escape, nowhere is always better than somewhere. It is the from, not the “to”, which matters.

They are eager to escape what they are, and favour the anonymity of cities, their Utopia. Better a tourist attraction than a landscape, for the land is that from which we spring, and to escape it is the desire of a man who prefers a resort.

It is the spirit of the supermarket.

The time is coming when the nowhere people, once careful to efface their origins in aping their tutors, will affect the kind of accents they used to be so careful to expunge.

The Posh, surprisingly, are always with us. They have retired from the public eye, no longer zooming through our imaginations, literature and screens like Mr Toad. I have always considered Toad to be an exemplar in matters of the road, and it is to him I owe my driving motto - “Victory or Nothing”.

Finally there are foreigners. I will pass over them in silence.

FANCY WORDS FOR FANCY PEOPLE

It is a relief to meet someone like Rupert Thistlethwayte who is not pretending to be anyone else. His career is to be himself. Whilst I was at his place I tramped out in my wellies to chop up some wood. This was needless but made me feel like the kind of person I ought to be.

I found him by the woodstore and began to inflict myself upon him with enthusiasm.

He patiently endured me. When I had worked something up I signed at his big old house and said,

But YOU - you’re autochthonous2. Sprung from the earth. The modern world is rootless and here you are. Here you and yours always were. What a thing it is to belong so much today.

I enjoyed pointing up at him. It is a sort of revenge for those nostrils of his. Norman nostrils, neat as apple pips, into which the timorous eyes of my stunted ancestors would have been compelled to stare3.

BACK TO THE TUDORS

Rupert’s family have been at Cadhay since the 16th Century. Built in 1550 by John Haydon, it is arranged around a central Court of the Sovereigns, displaying likenesses of Edward VI, Henry VIII, Mary and Elizabeth Tudor.

Robert Haydon, John’s nephew, added the long gallery. His wife, Joan Poulett4, is Rupert’s ancestor.

For nearly five hundred years Cadhay has seen near ruin and renewal, its permanence and renascence a retort to the evanescent culture of the portable screen. It embodies the kind of historical memory which competes with the perpetual immediate as an explanation of the world.

Rupert, having no alternative, looks down on me as I wander up to the roof chamber. It is a room which all but summons the gloomy face of Rylance doing Thomas Cromwell.

Wolf Hall has been adapted by the BBC in one of the best productions of modern television. It is outstanding, and happily a second series has been completed. Based on the books by the late Hilary Mantel, the series documents the relationship of Privy Councillor Thomas Cromwell to the then King Henry VIII.

I said to Rupert that I expected to see Rylance peering out of the penumbra of the roof chamber, and he plainly replied,

Well Hilary did some of her publicity here.

He said this with the modest omission of the fact that the real Privy Councillor to the Tudors dined here. It is natural then to learn Rupert helped Hilary Mantel with some of the historical detail in her sequel to Wolf Hall, titled Bring Up The Bodies5.

The history of the main house at Cadhay is too rich to bear relation here. So is that of Rupert’s family, which includes the improbable but true story of Mary Reibey.

A distant ancestor, she was arrested for stealing a horse in 1791. Disguised as a boy at the time, on the discovery that she was a woman she was sentenced not to death, but transportation to Australia.

This horse thief became immensely wealthy and the Bank of New South Wales was founded in her house. She is featured on the Australian $20 dollar note to this day, and it is her fortune, bequeathed to the Pouletts, which allowed the family to buy back Cadhay after it being out of the family for two centuries.

Rupert was born there, by the back door. He grew up in the house being “ a sorry old place…festooned with cobwebs.” Later on, it passed to him.

Why was this place not dissolved by the ruin of inheritance tax?

It is permitted to hold on to the family home by opening it to the public, whilst Rupert pays for the considerable costs of its upkeep. It is thanks to him that this little heart of England still beats.

A GARDEN OF ENGLAND

Outside, the grounds and buildings are a delight. You can stay in the former stables, or the old cider press.

Even the main house can be rented, year round. You will find in many of the rooms examples of the exceptional furniture which, I am told, Rupert may still be persuaded to make.

It is a privilege to be here, because it is astonishing that something this beautiful has survived into this century of ugliness and resentment.

Rupert’s strenuous efforts to restore and revive this home and hearth of England have fructified into a tender welcome.

An invitational treasure, Cadhay breathes with heritage, worn with a natural ease, as if the summer itself were made for it to shine.

I have warned him that if he does not price me out6, I will be back every year to wear the seasoned livery of England in these grounds.

There is another flourish outside with the splendid allotments. You often can see Rupert pottering about them, as the locals come and tend their plots. In the height of summer, it is a splendid place of fruits and blossoms and butterflies.

We come here for the beauty, for the splendour of a place that is and has always been a home.

WHAT WILL SURVIVE OF US

Ben Jonson, who was born when Cadhay was in its twenties, wrote the famous poem To Penshurst in 1616.

It is a paean to a house that speaks gently of the heart and soul of England. Had he come to Devon, he would have written it to Cadhay.

I cannot help to think in these terrible times of the plangent lines of another poem, too, in which the power of memory in stone suggests the survival of the best of what we are.

That poem, An Arundel Tomb by Philip Larkin, is shaded by the poet’s English gloom. It speaks of a gesture captured in the carved tomb of an earl and a countess at Arundel Cathedral. How surprised was the poet that

One sees, with a sharp tender shock,   

His hand withdrawn, holding her hand.

He says this captures a moment overlooked in life, but immortalised in art. It is the substance of memory now, at once real and not.

“The stone fidelity

They hardly meant has come to be

Their final blazon, and to prove

Our almost-instinct almost true:

What will survive of us is love.”

There is something of this accident in all of us. Ours is a time where the question of what will survive is an urgent one.

Cadhay is a monument to the hazard and the hope of life. In a world turned away from the heart and the hand it moves, there is beauty, there is love. There is a sense of before that shapes what is before us.

There is still a place called home.

Rupert has not paid me for this, and though it pains me to say so about one so unapologetically tall, he is a decent man. I wrote this because his place is wonderful and he a rather interesting fellow.

As a result I have been rather busy. In place of a fresh essay today I am reposting this explanation of Liberal Democracy - showing how its failure now was presaged by its first collapse around a century ago.

This is one of the many significant facts about our history we are simply not supplied, which in turn demonstrates something of how we have been ruled.

ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS

We are living through the end of the liberal global regime. As I have explained in my forthcoming book, A Brief History of Liberal Democracy, this system was created after the violent revolution of the First World War.

Marketed with the brand name of liberation, it was a system of elite rule, internationally coordinated, whose power was secured through the use of mass culture to manufacture belief in itself.

One thing you do not know reveals how totally this power has reconstructed your idea of history. Liberal democracy failed, almost everywhere it was installed, a hundred years ago.

“Liberal democracy” is the God That Failed Twice.

LIBERAL DEMOCRACY - THE GOD THAT FAILED TWICE

The propaganda methods developed to persuade Americans to enter World War One were used to set up a system of rule by media - marketed as liberal democracy.

All across Europe, and as far away as South America and Japan, liberal democracies were created to replace the old world - with a New World Order.

What is remarkable is that most of them collapsed within a decade.

Germany’s liberal democracy lasted fourteen years in the Weimar Republic.

All over Europe, most of the new liberal democracies failed as well.

Introduced with universal suffrage and two-chamber systems involving liberal and leftwing parties, practically none survived - and those that did were frozen democracies - or in a perpetual state of turmoil.

Here is a brief list of nations whose brief experiment with liberal democracy collapsed around a hundred years ago.

Germany, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Italy, and Spain.

In addition, Portugal’s young democracy was ended by a coup in 1926. Sweden had ten governments between 1920 and 1932. Norway’s largest party - the Labour Party - joined the Soviet Comintern for four years (1919-23), and in Denmark the King dissolved the leftwing government in 1920.

Turkey’s new republic was a one party state.Liberal democracy in Greece lasted one year. Albania’s lasted eight, Bulgaria’s three, whilst Romania’s postwar “democratic experiment” lasted - shakily - until 1938.

Britain had no election for ten years between 1935 and 1945. Four million American workers went on strike in 1919.

Belgium’s postwar introduction of universal suffrage permanently destroyed its Catholic State, with liberals and socialists taking over, and separatist Flemish movements threatening the breakup of the nation.

In 1919, four soviets were set up in Germany, with Bolshevist insurrections continuing for four years. A six-hour Marxist republic briefly took power in Luxembourg in 1919.

A military coup in Spain in 1923 succeeding in halting the rise of Bolshevism - for a time. Bulgaria’s fledgling democracy was ended in 1923 by another military coup.

The majority of postwar liberal democracies descended into chaos and were swept away.

HYPERNORMALISATION UNDER LIBERALISM

This is an important lesson which recalls the title of Yurchak’s book

“Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More”

He was talking about The Last Soviet Generation. It is a title which could apply to our time, too. We too live in a system which we have been led to believe has no alternative in sight, and is the most perfect of all systems.

We too live in a time of hypernormalisation - the condition in which the state tells us everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds, whilst everything is getting worse, and there seems to be nothing the ruling elite will do to help us out of the state they have put us in.

This was the title of a documentary on this subject by the English cultural commentator Adam Curtis.

It helps to explain how the total propaganda system of liberal democracy is so successful it is invisible - because it is everywhere, and it has created everything we believe we know.

Until now.

What is happening now is that people are beginning to realise the world created to rule them is fake.

Despite its increasingly refined sophistication combined with new technologies of mass communication, it is now obvious to a growing number of people in the West that they have been living in an advertisement for a product that does not exist.

Reality is radicalising people against the liberal system. This reality, produced by the ever-more extreme policies of progress, is not the utopia we were promised.

We have been liberated into a nihilistic void. Chaos and total moral collapse surrounds us in reality, as the dream machine hums on in the palms of our hands. The appeal of the Black Mirror is waning.

The spell of the liberal system is broken, and so its impossible dream is over. It has been revealed as a nightmare.

BEFORE “LIBERAL DEMOCRACY”

Now is the time when people begin to remember - to ask questions about the gaps in the past - which lead us to discover that what we are not told about liberal democracy is in fact more revealing that what it tells us to believe about itself.

Most people do not know that until 1920 women did not vote in US elections, and it was largely after the first world war that “democracy” - in which everyone votes - was introduced across what would become the liberal global empire.

Readers of AJP Taylor will be aware that this top-down revolutionary destruction of the old order meant a massive and continued increase in the intrusion of the State into everyday life.

Taylor says that before the First World War an Englishman would see nothing of the state beyond his visit to the Post Office.

After liberal democracy came the education, health and legal bureaucracies which now govern the details of our procession from birth to death, increasingly through a series of different but similar light industrial sheds.

Passports - said to be a temporary measure - became permanent. In the US and Britain the Income Tax was raised and never really went down again.

The push for compulsory state education - why did the Rockefellers support fund and promote this - and why were they behind “women’s liberation”?

The late Aaron Russo explains in this video that Nicholas Rockefeller told him he was an idiot for believing that women were simply seeking equality in a process flowing from votes for women to entering the workplace and then to equal pay. Rockefeller allegedly told Russo there were two reasons his family helped found the feminist movement:

“We funded this movement to get more women into the workforce and now we can tax them and stimulate the economy.

We can control them in the offices, schools, and in life. We can break up the family structure and the government becomes the family structure.”

This is dismissed by online AI summaries as a “conspiracy theory”. Reports - such as from Inside Philanthropy show how the Rockefeller Foundation backed “women’s lib” in the 1970s.

This report shows 90 years of Rockefeller support for women’s “liberation”.

Of course, the CIA was involved. Leading US feminist Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset, as this 2015 article shows.

This is unsurprising, as the chief role of the CIA was arguably the waging of a propaganda war on Americans - and worldwide - to promote the political religion of the liberal-global system.

This I call “cultural production” - the sponsorship of all forms of mass culture to manufacture mass belief in the many cults of liberal progress.

One year after the creation of the CIA, George F Kennan authored a 1948 paper which mobilised all mass culture as a form of propaganda. The paper was called “On the Inauguration of Organised Political Warfare”.

In plain English what this means is the US - through the CIA - began to mobilise all forms of mass culture as form of political warfare, promoting social revolution at home and abroad through the sponsorship of rights campaigns, modern art, popular music, film, television and thought leaders.

This book details the Central Intelligence Agency’s covert and sometimes overt sponsorship of domestic and global cultural, social and intellectual movements during the Cold War.

HUMANITY AS A MANAGEMENT PROBLEM

The history of the century of sales is also the history of the rise of the managers.

As life is increasingly formalised by administrators, all the meaning and power of institutions such as the Church and the family, and our history and tradition, are gradually subsumed by the dictates of the lanyard class.

We are managed by apparatchiks today, whose status and livelihood depends on the structures which birthed them. This produces a sort of paralysis.. Now, and around a century ago.

Then, as now, liberal democracy was proven incapable of answering crisis.

By 1927 liberal democracies seemed incapable of solving the looming economic meltdown which would follow the Crash of 1929, to become the Great Depression.

None of these systems could counter the rising threat of bolshevism, which threatened the democracies of Germany, Spain, Italy and France with revolution.

Even England was said to be closer to Bolshevik revolution in the 1920s than at any other time. Strikes in 1919 were accompanied by a mutiny of British sailors in Russia, who demanded cooperation with the new Bolshevik regime.

Today, liberal democracy can only survive by demonising, banning and criminalising any parties with more popular policies than those of the ruling liberal elite - as is the case in France, Germany, Romania - and quite possibly Britain as well.

There are obvious moves towards a sort of digital tyranny - moves which Tony Blair said was necessary to “counter populism”.

THIS GOD IS NOW FAILING AGAIN

It is the liberal remnant in Europe which is pushing hardest to provoke an all out war with Russia - risking us all to save itself from extinction.

We can now see what Walter Lippman meant by his admission in 1919 that the “liberty” of liberal democracy is a “weapon and and advertisement”.

Women have been liberated from womanhood. Through the popular factions of hysteria promoted as progress, many people have been liberated from sanity. Children were memed into self mutilation, sexualised by erotic exhibitionists.

The liberal system has partnered with NGOs and has sponsored radicals to mobilise its population into factions - all declaring war on our formerly Christian civilisation.

Meanwhile, the one wage household has vanished. It is now an impossible dream for most to own a home, and having a family is simply unaffordable. Our nations are dissolved into currents of grievance and vengeance, racial, sexual and environmental, whose only common factor is they are all self destructive to the state, the family, and the individual alike.

The political religion of the liberal system has replaced the value of human life with price, and calls the demolition of everything “progress”.

As the product of a century of progressive social revolution comes into view, no one is buying this pitch anymore.

If you get the feeling you have been cheated, that is because you have been living in an advertisement all your life, for a product made out of false promises.

This is why fewer people worship the liberal idols every day. The state religion of liberal political beliefs is dying out.

The god that failed a century ago is failing again. Failing better.

This is an essay about the false god of Equality. I argue that the worship of false idols of the Revolution such as Equality are the inevitable result of a system of make belief which is hostile to reality.

That system is the Liberal system which has ruled us into a hell on earth, and ruled sanity and the mention of reality out of the question.

I begin with a mention of a play by a notorious pervert and criminal, whose immoral story functions as a fable for our times.

THE MORAL OF A DEGENERATE STORY

We live in degenerate times, and it so is often degenerate art which best holds the mirror up to life today. I have said this about De Sade, and will explain what I mean about his example later.

Today I will open with some words about another immoralist, whose work illustrates the debased human condition secured in the Liberal Revolution.

The criminal and homosexualist Jean Genet was lauded as a Saint by those who admire the Revolution and its aim of destroying all that was.

In 1956 Genet wrote a play called The Balcony. It is about power and performance.

Described as “one of the masterpieces of our times” by Martin Esslin, the play is set in a brothel, which is a microcosm of the state outside1.

The clients go there to dress up as powerful public figures. One character in the play is got up as the Chief of Police, another as the Bishop, a third as The General.

A revolution takes place outside and these three imposters present themselves to the public, from the balcony of the bordello. They are acclaimed as the real leaders of church, state and the army, and order is restored.

RULE BY FAKERY

Today we are ruled and schooled by imposters. They are costumed as our leaders and guardians, but they are in fact mere actors fronting a sordid business - just as in Genet’s play.

The State we are in is not just a performance. It is one which is served by the making of belief, and this involves the subtraction of the memory of what was.

When there is no past but the idea of it presented by the present, there is nothing to which to compare the performers and their performance. The play becomes reality, the spectacle all there is, all there ever was, all there could be. This is how disorder masquerades as order, imposture as reality, and it is how the memory of civilisation is extinguished and recalled.

We are at this point now, and the forced forgetting is becoming obvious. Nothing is real in this regime. Its money is debt, its elections change nothing, its religions of Church and State are advertisements for itself and its policies amount to a weapon of mass destruction. The police do not catch criminals, the army does not defend the borders, the church does not teach the religion of Christ but that of the so-called Liberal State.

We are living through the moral of a degenerate story. We are ruled by costumed depravities whose revolution has presented them as our legitimate leaders.

If we remember how they were put there, and why, the spell of the spectacle is broken, and all we see is a bunch of crooks in makeup.

UTOPIA - PROJECT ANTI-REALITY

In the political technique of the 20th century the extinction of memory is crucial to the security of the revolutionary power which is itself a performance.

It is called liberal democracy but it is in fact neither.

The Liberals believed in the rights of the individual in terms of personal liberty and property. This means we are to be free to say and act and live as we wish, provided we are harmless to others in doing so.

Harm has been redefined to include words some people dislike. Laws are made against disliking some people. Rather than defend the liberal right of the individual, liberal democracies limit the freedom of speech and action to permitted spheres.

This is inevitable, of course, as Man is not good enough to be free of restraint, his Liberal liberation imprisoning him in the snare of his desires2.

To to see evidence of this you must only look at the liberties he takes when he considers himself liberated from all meaningful morality.

Why do liberals believe theirs is the best of all possible worlds?

LIBERAL CHAUVINISM - A FATAL VANITY

The liberal system claims to be supreme because it tolerates all other systems and ideas, and is therefore an enlightened sort of perpetual equation, always including in itself the best of all possible factors.

This was the opinion of Sir Isaiah Berlin, the greatest champion of the liberal idea in the 20th century. He called this “value pluralism”, meaning we have in the liberal idea the understanding that values are not changeless and objectively good but are in fact a matter of perspective, and so the wisest system is the one which entertains them all.

On the other hand he identified a second type of liberalism. This is the rule by an elite which decides what is liberal and therefore best for everyone else - the ruled.

He called this despotism, meaning the rule of rulers who cannot be removed by political means. He was right about the second model, as this is what we have.

This ruling elite is not being removed by its pantomime elections. It is being expelled by reality. It is a fraudulent business model secured by false promises, made to the public to make the public believe in them.

We are ruled by bad actors who have all been found out.

The enemy which has defeated them is real. It is the real world degraded by their vanity and insanity, which is an invincible argument against even the most alluring of advertisements.

A Revolution Against Reality

The warnings about the liberal system were made before it was fully established. People with an interest in ideas could see where the spirit of Matthew Arnold was going to take the world - into chaos.

It may seem odd to talk about the importance of metaphysics when we try to understand what has happened to our world. Metaphysics is the attempt to describe the nature of reality and our being in it. As we shall see, we cannot understand where and how we went wrong without some knowledge of what right might be.

This is the reason Pope Leo XIII began with a robust defence of Christian philosophy. This was in the first of his nine famous encyclicals, known collectively as the Catholic Social Teaching, and published by Etienne Gilson in a book called The Church Speaks to the Modern World.

Many people today would laugh at the idea. What could the fusty old Church have to say about the digital age into which we have been liberated by our clever inventions in machines and political technique?

Well, the Church has been around for a long time, and in that time it has become a treasure house of practical and spiritual wisdom. This combination of the understanding of the higher purpose and basic reality of human being is gives the Church its unparalleled explanatory and predictive power. It is right because it is true, and it does not only claim to be so.

The explanation given by the Catholic metaphysics is to my knowledge the closest match in description of the nature of being and reality ever achieved in human history.

It is inevitable that a system of beliefs with no basis in reality and no recognition of the limits and changeless nature of human being would produce the pandemonium we inhabit today.

THE FALSE GOD OF EQUALITY

The Catholic Social Teaching is more than what its title suggests. It is a framework for a political economy. meaning it lays out what the economy and our politics should be for, and how it should go about it. What should money and power do according to the Church?

They should be organised to best promote human flourishing. This is called the Common Good, and it recognises rights and duties between capital and labour, as well as between the ruler and the ruled.

In the first of these nine encyclicals Pope Leo XIII insisted that the correct understanding about human nature and the reality we inhabit is vital to the just management of human affairs.

He added later that the false god of equality, if insituted as a political principle, would produce national and international disorder and result in a total moral collapse of society.

This is because Men are not and never will be equal in their capabilities, in their self-command, in the possession of the faculties to recognise and respect beauty, truth and the Divine, in the customs of their tribes which are their cultures, in their capacity for virtue and to conceive of good and of evil, and of course in their categorisation of what is real, and just and true.

To the wicked man wisdom appears as folly, humility as weakness.

The mad cult of equality has extinguished the recognition of Evil. For these reasons as for others it was condemned by the Church before the Revolution.

So the old Church with its old ways warned about the novelty and idolatry which helped to sell the New System, and explained why it would produce the effects we can all see around us today.

How could it do this? Remember, the Catholic Social Teaching was first published in the 1860s - over a century and a half ago.

EXPLANATORY POWER AND TRUTH

The remarkable explanatory power of these old words is a testament to the sound foundations on which they rested.

If your foundations are true, then what you predict will result is also likely to share the same correspondence to reality as the description you made of it in the first place.

Explanatory power translates directly to predictive power.

This demonstrates the argument of Aeterni Patris nicely3. It says that the metaphysics of Aristotle, Aquinas and Augustine give the closest possible correspondence in description to the nature of reality and being.

It says that this correct foundation is the basis of our judgement about who we are and what to do.

From this foundation the encyclicals go on to predict precisely what will happen under a system which replaces this all with make belief, made up to make people believe in this new system.

The results have been the same as were predicted. Today, people in the West argue about what a woman is. A woman got up as an Archbishop pretends not only to be an Archbishop but also a Christian spiritual leader. Gay men buying babies impersonate postpartum mothers in photographs.

Many politicians in the West defend the preposterous idea that paperwork and mimicry can make anyone Welsh or German or Irish.

Finally, the Market Worshippers conveniently ignore the fact that the numbers on their charts no longer correspond to the real cost of real things.

Our lives are directed and described by symbols which in fact contradict the reality they purport to represent. The price of everything is going up, whilst the value of everything rapidly declines. The shrinkflation of every dimension of our lives is marketed and managed by the sale of images attached to hopes and dreams and fond memories.

These are the brands that brand us on our way into the slaughterhouse.

THE DANGER OF FALSE EQUIVALENCE

Equality is dangerous, as it displaces difference with likeness, and this sleight of mind is presented as wisdom. It is folly.

When men forget the habit of noticing basic difference they can be taken for fools, and they are. One thing being unlike another is obvious, of course, until we attach consequences to the noticing of such things.

And so equality is revealed as a blunt instrument of a political power which says it despises the use of force to secure compliance.

Equality equalises sense with nonsense, fantasy with reality, fools with the wise, lies with the truth and madness with civilisation. The moral inversion of our times is another example, in which practically every vice is now virtuously defended, or even celebrated.

The difference between black and white is obvious, and not only in appearance. There are essential differences between people and peoples, and the recognition of this fact is the basis of sound judgment4. This is prohibited today, and so none of the problems of discord arising from the replacement of order with disorder can even be honestly described, making any civilised resolution impossible.

This is a shocking thing to say because it is obvious. If it does shock you, ask why the obvious is shocking to mention.

Whereof we cannot speak, the facts do not remain silent.

You cannot censor reality, you can only penalise people who point it out.

Today, reality is becoming so obvious that attempts to contain it by penalties and propaganda are insufficient. This means that a power secured by the policing and production of mass belief is in its terminal crisis. The war on reality is not yet over, but it has certainly been lost.

Now we shall count the cost, as the curtain comes down and the imposters leave the stage.

We can all see who is now standing on the balcony of the bordello, and we shall no longer accept the rule of vile imposters in costume, reading out a script before a backdrop of obscene corruption.

This is a long essay to explain something of the revolutionary political technique of the 20th century, showing how it has mobilised desire without restraint within us all to destroy what we were, and leave us in the State (and Church) we are in today.

THE MEANS OF REVOLUTION

The means of revolution are many, and taken together they represent its technique. We have lived through a time which has seen everything in our world changed, and changed utterly, and this new normal has normalised radical change in every aspect of our lives.

In every case, from the changes in the Church to those in our economy, through demographic and social changes, the first people to notice these upheavals are dismissed as cranks, conspiracy theorists - and demonised as extremists.

The canaries in the coalmine are called nasty names, and penalties attached to anyone who fairly names their tune.

This neutralises opposition to the changes taking place, without or even against popular consent, until they have reached a stage when they seem not to be changes at all, but the New Normal. Then men forget what was, and believe, as they are apt to do, in what is put before them to believe in.

This is how the revolution is secured in our time, by a sort of collective suffocation.

Revolutions do not always succeed, and sometimes they fail because the zealots who carry them out mistakenly believe they have succeeded.

These revolutionaries become intoxicated by their success so far, and lose the recognition of any limit to their freedom of action.

OPEN REVOLT

There always comes a crucial moment when the containment of opposition gives way to the open celebration of the revolt.

This is when the revolutionaries feel confident they can announce their aims instead of simply persecuting the few people sufficiently bold to oppose them, and risk naming them in public.

That time is now.

At such a time the revolution becomes so obvious it is impossible to deny, and those marginalised for noticing the normalisation of the new are vindicated by the realisation that the change they warned would come has arrived. It is a polarising moment which tests the real power of the revolution, as its open declaration forces a choice in the population. The question is no longer whether there is and has been a revolution.

The question is simply are we for or against it?

THE REVOLUTION IN CHURCH AND STATE

This is the moment in the crisis in Church and State we inhabit. We are faced by something that seeks to replace everything with itself. To do this, it must undermine and assimilate all the institutions, ideas, beliefs and culture which hamper its ambitions to standardise the world under its own standards.

This is the reason the family is managed into decline, why the nation is replaced by a market, and the world remade as a borderless bazaar of bargain hunters.

It is also the reason why the Catholic Church, bulwark of sane tradition and hammer of the revolution, is the subject of a diabolical process to replace its religion with that of the State of the Great Replacement.

WHY THE CHURCH MATTERS TO YOU

These dramatic words can be expected from an extremist such as myself. I am precisely the sort of person who is dismissed as a marginal crank for my steadfast defence of sanity against the trans-sane transition of the 20th century and its cult of false beliefs.

As this essay shows, I am far from alone in this respect nowadays, and especially concerning my concerns about the Church.

Why should you care about that?

The Catholic religion, as with Christianity generally, has been systematically framed as a sort of embarassing anachronism whose irrational beliefs restrict our lives to its own ridiculous rule set.

This is the Progressive view of the religion which founded our civilisation.

If you are against the false idols of the century of sales, if you rightfully reject the madness that is Liberalism and think life should mean more than being consumed in an economy which makes everything - even you and your life - disposable and cheap, then you might see why you should care about the fact the revolution has come for the Church.

THE DEADLY PLAGUE OF LIBERATION

In 1878 Pope Leo XIII warned of a “deadly plague” ravaging Mankind.

This pestilence was exceptionally dangerous, because it spread not in the bodies but in the beliefs of Men, and its vector was the promise of Liberation.

Today we live in the ruins of our civilisation. It has been levelled down in successive acts of ideological zealotry. This is the cult of the false idol of Equality. It is as revered in Marxism as it is in market worship.

If we look closer, we can see why insane minority political cults have partnered so well with the equally false promises of the customer being always right - no matter the wrongs done to and indeed by them in the process of consumption.

CONSUMER/COMMUNIST NIHILISM

The seventh encyclical of the Catholic Social Teaching showed why the Church condemned the nihilism of Socialism and Communism.

You can read about that here if you like.

It also condemned the reduction of the value of life to price in what would become consumer liberalism - a closed electoral system preaching openness, secured by the delimiting of Man’s desires into a mass-produced line of cheap consumer products.

These products include our food, our holidays, our clothes, entertainment, education, framing our hopes, dreams and aspirations and furnishing our minds with beliefs about ourselves and the world.

The result is we are consumed over time by the economic system which produces our politics and in turn a mass culture which shapes us towards its own ends - which are its own profit and power.

When the Liberal revolution seemed to have triumphed in 1989, Francis Fukuyama pronounced the End of History and the Last Man, saying all time had produced a verdict of victory for a system of cheap consumer goods plus periodic elections.

Even Marxists such as Herbert Marcuse have noticed that this was a trap, and they called it “repressive desublimation” - meaning the removal of moral restraint, channeled into the consumption of mass produced objects and fantasies of desire, is a form of repressive political control expressed through the organisation and sale of the economy itself.

Fukuyama said the Last Man would struggle to free himself from consumer liberalism, saying this would be driven by sheer boredom.

You cannot blame Man for going mad when his life is nothing more than a sterilised series of shops and slop. This is no mere tedium. It is a behavioural sink we are desperate to escape alive.

THIS WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT

If you understand the technique of revolution, and how it is applied to mobilise belief and desire towards the realisation of its own power, you can predict how it will be sold to the people, and what will happen from its beginning to its inevitable and chaotic end.

This is what Leo XIII did in his Catholic Social Teachings.

Leo XIII understood the nascent technique of this terrible century, and said it would produce social and moral collapse, according to its designs.

If you cannot believe in God, you will probably find it astonishing that anyone could come up with such a profound assessment of the causes of the crisis we inhabit than is set out in these nine encyclicals.

There are other reasons for the Godless to seriously consider what happens when Man tries to do away with Him.

Ultimately, all revolution is a revolt against God, the world He made, its natural order and is therefore an impossible struggle to supplant the changeless nature of being and reality with the vainglorious fantasies of a discontented few.

These people believe in nothing but themselves, of course, and it is through the transmission of false promises that they secure popular consent. Promises like equality and liberation and an end to suffering - delivered by the invention of rights which normalise wrongs.

This is the replacement of sense with nonsense, and the fact these ideas are widespread today shows how men select their beliefs not for their truth value, but more commonly because seeing is believing, and these beliefs are all we are given to see today.

You can only buy what is on sale, and the brand of any competitor is devalued by the same process of advertising which promotes the product of the Market Leader.

THESE LIES THEY TELL

Why are the revolutionaries revolting at all?

They find reality revolting, and seek to replace it with something more to their own tastes. Namely, themselves. The Church says that God is sovereign, and that the inequality between men in capacity and power and rights of action is part of His creation, which cannot be changed.

Of course, whenever a revolution succeeds we see that those who secured power in the Name of the People proceed to rule them by means of it, because of course there are always rulers and ruled, and what revolutions do is simply replace one elite with another.

They also try to make the replacement of the ruling elite impossible. This is done these days by means of the creation of a consumer self, sold with the mirage of sensational wonders and the absolute freedom of desire1.

THE REVOLUTIONARY SELF

The 20th century has been described as the Century of the Self, as the sort of self that was invented by the elites which produced its political technique is the central myth of the sale of the revolution which tried to replace all that was with what there is now.

This self is a creation, and it was created in a machinery of the production of money and power which we can now recognise as a weapon of mass destruction.

The Modern Self is a sales pitch. All revolutions seek to remake Man in their own image, and the one we have endured is firstly an economic vision of the world as a marketplace of ideas and objects, which is how human beings are imagined from the point of view of this power: things which can be moved by putting other things into their hearts and minds.

The Grand Illusion of the 20th Century was the sale of nothing as a new and improved replacement for everything.

The religion of Christ is dissolved into a new cult of Modern Man, himself the product of an economic system which turns everything of value into price, shaping our desires only towards the products of this degrading transition.

What we are told and what we are sold by the Revolution are never what it does. For example, the liberation promised by liberal democracy is a conflict of rights, not a resolution, in which apparatchiks and minorities, often allied with international money power and ideological bureaucracies, effectively tyrannise the majority into compliance.

As Pope Leo XIII asked:

“Surely these are they who, as the sacred Scriptures testify, "Defile the flesh, despise dominion and blaspheme majesty ’”.

These nihilists “seek the overthrow of civil society everywhere”, he explained.

This is done through the worship of the false idol of Equality, he continues, by those who

“proclaim the absolute equality of all men in rights and duties”, because they “refuse obedience to the higher powers”.

THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Our beliefs are machined into us, to make us better components.

This degrades us morally, intellectually and spiritually. We are impoverished in every way, from the material to the matter of our vanishing historical memory. This is done by means of technique, presenting every subtraction of the value of our lives as progress.

Where does this evil business come from? Its origin is found a phrase from the book of Timothy in the Bible, commonly mistranslated as

“Money is the root of all evil”.

In the Latin, it says

“Radix enim omnium malorum est cupiditas quam quidam appetentes erraverunt a fide et inseruerunt se doloribus multis…”2

This means cupidity is the root of all evil. What is that?

Consider how the consumer economy works. It mobilises your desires, lusts, appetites, your love of self and the adulation of glamour. It creates crazes for things, if you like. The crazier we get, the more money it makes.

Now think about the sale of sexual liberation. It presents unrestrained orgasm-chasing as the pinnacle of emancipation. It has liberated women from motherhood and womanhood. It has presented the celebration of hypersexual extremism as a litmus test for being a Good Person.

Reject all this at your peril, as this madness forms part of the terms and conditions of your life, in a contract to which we did not consent, and which the Machine says we have no right to escape.

PUTTING EVIL INTO PRACTICE

Now you can see from these two simple examples how this technique works.

It removes restraint from human desire and maximises its production it for profit. This is extremely destructive to the person and to our (and any) people.

I encourage you to read the Catholic Social Teaching of Leo XIII as it explains clearly and precisely how sin is self-destructive, to the self and to the State.

Here is a passage from the seventh encyclical of those teachings. It explains how the corruption of the family by means of hypersexuality dissolves social bonds and moral discipline in a riot of self satisfaction.

“They debase the natural union of man and woman, which is held sacred even among barbarous peoples; and its bond, by which the family is chiefly held together, they weaken, or even deliver up to lust.”

Leo XIII then explains the radix malorum, quoting the passage from Timothy:

Lured, in fine, by the greed of present goods, which is “the root of all evils, which some coveting have erred from the faith,” they assail the right of property sanctioned by natural law; and by a scheme of horrible wickedness, while they seem desirous of caring for the needs and satisfying the desires of all men, they strive to seize and hold in common whatever has been acquired either by title of lawful inheritance, or by labor of brain and hands, or by thrift in one’s mode of life.”

This has happened to our world, in a combination of wars and social revolutions that swept away the economic, political and cultural order that existed before the Great War. That was and is our Christian civilisation.

Today, vast corporations push Rainbow Climate Race Bolshevism as they level us all down into degradation and dependency. How free does that make you feel?

We are not liberated by this “equality” but its wicked appeals leave us indentured to the wages of sin, which is death.

This is the rule of men by means of delimiting desire. Speaking against it is penalised.

Any attempt to remind men that they are not freed but imprisoned (and then destroyed) by total surrender to their desires is a threat to the false promise of Liberal liberation.

Yet the ruins around and within us speak a language that cannot be silenced by any man.

THE MACHINE IS BREAKING DOWN

The Machine that is our political economy has refined its technique over the century of sales.

It amounts to the manufacture and marketing of revolutionary replacement of all things as something novel and progressive, and then makes it seem normal. Finally, this Machine makes any alternative to itself literally unthinkable.

Its latest product line is remarkable for its honesty.

It is the open declaration of the revolution to replace us all, and all we had.

It is now clear that in Church and State we are ruled by corrupt factions who have traduced everything we were, for their own interests.

This product line may be its last, because when it is plainly obvious what we are being sold, we discover that we retain one devastating right in this degrading system, and that is the right not to buy what is on sale.

There is a sane and just world outside the marketed desires of this weapon of mass destruction. It is the real world which we were taught to despise, by a despicable machinery of false promises and progress.

This machine is breaking down. We must, and we will, do better.

There is a lot to say about lies and revolution and the destructive power of desire.

This play has a section in it called “These Lies They Tell”. It is a speech by the Marquis de Sade, and it is worth looking up here.

I have been described in rather invidious terms for my haircut, of all things, and so here is an essay about the significance of historical memory to the understanding of the State we are in.

It also contains an explanation for my hairstyle.

Memory and civilisation

Civilisation is a habit which can be forgotten. At times, it has been. Many of us are beginning to realise we live in such a time now.

The subtraction of the memory of our civilisation, what it was, how it was founded, what it meant and who made it, and how this erasure and replacement has remade us - is fundamental to the political technique of the 20th Century.

This means they take so much from you that you forget it was there in the first place. You forget what was, what we were, and all the beliefs supplied in the place of our shared tradition and identity are all that remains to believe in.

Many of us do not know what we have lost. The scale of this loss is breathtaking. To begin to investigate it is to open an inquiry into a crime so vast it has no name.

This crime is called “progress”. It is the reason for the morally inverted pseudo reality which we inhabit today, and which has been created to manufacture belief in a political economy which is in fact a weapon of mass destruction.

This is delivering us into a sort of hell on earth. Our condition in this progress to damnation can be described as purgatorial. Yet there is a way out of purgatory, and it goes up, not down. I will recommend here that looking back and remembering is a means of looking beyond the midst of modern life.

Today I will speak of the recivilising power of memory.

The Shocking Sight of an Englishman

To bring this to the personal level, this is why the sight of an Englishman is so shocking - and even offensive - to many people today.

To accommodate this appalling sight into some framework of meaning requires an equally shocking frame. I have been compared to and attached to Adolf Hitler for my problematic haircut and counter-Liberal views.

The Hitlerisation of anyone who objects to the politics of national suicide is a familiar trope. Where would these people be without Hitler? It is absurd, but also effective, as this prism has been supplied to refract a poisonous death ray into the image of anyone who dares to disagree with the prophets of “progress”.

I would like to offer an explanation for my haircut which does not fit into this insidious, malicious and rather hysterically directed device.

My haircut is that of an Englishman.

Lt. Col. Alfred Daniel Wintle MC

“I get down on my knees every night and thank God for making me an Englishman.

It is the greatest honour He could bestow.”

So said Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Daniel Wintle MC, devout Christian, fierce patriot, and unquestionable hero of both the First and Second Great Unpleasantness.

The men he commanded in the trenches of the Great War had undercuts like mine, to keep the lice off. You can see these haircuts in “Peaky Blinders”. They are English haircuts, mainly for the ranks1.

AD was a cavalry officer in two terrible wars.

I was a reservist in the infantry and as a part time soldier have no right to stand beside his outstanding example of gallantry and invincible Englishness.

AD was a valiant Christian soldier and the last officer to be locked up in the Tower of London.

AD’s life is an improbable record of extraordinary events which have secured his reputation as one of the greatest Englishmen of modern times, and perhaps ever to have lived.

Here is a picture of him with his wife, later in life. His hair has grown out a bit, but it is shaven at the sides and is parted in a manner likely to trigger the conditioned responses of the differently-saned2.

Why is the sight of a traditional Englishman so terrifying to these people?

We are not dead, for a start, though dear AD has indeed joined the majority.

It is alarming to the mad revolutionaries that we are still here, that we can remember who we are and recall the glorious deeds and exceptional character of the men who came before us.

It shakes them that we are not ashamed to be English. And Irish, and Welsh - and Scotch3.

In fact, we thank God that we are. Just like AD did.

WHERE IS MEMORY TO BE FOUND?

Civilisation is a matter of vigilance. Good needs its soldiers, too.

Not all battles are fought with bullets, however. The war on our civilisation requires a sort of soldiering which speaks to the centre of our selves, to what is in us yet outside of time.

The duty to defend our civilisation is a matter of remembering against a current which washes us into nothing.

The imagist poet Ezra Pound wrote a line about this in his insuperable Cantos.

“Dove sta’ memoria” asks Pound. Where is memory to be found?

The line recalls a love poem from the 13th century.

That poem is “Donna me prega” - “The Lady Asks Me”, by Guido Cavalcanti4.

It is beautiful. It is a song across time which pierces the heart.

In doing so, it sings beyond it, spearing our longing for love and meaning into the avenues of time, which was our time and our memory of it, to whisper of something timeless.

If you read that poem alongside another poem by Pound, you can see how he weaves the memory of our European civilisation into the making of his Cantos.

Pound’s Canto about memory and where it is to be found is also an account of corruption in a State of war.

The deliberate annihilation of our memory of who we are, of what we were, and of the fact there is a meaning to our being beyond the times we now inhabit and their degrading standards is a crime against the soul of our people.

REBALANCING OUR TIMES

This crime cannot be corrected with hatred. Injustice is an imbalance at heart, and to rebalance these times so out of joint requires a love beyond that of the self.

It is a love beyond the moment, a passion which is agonising as it is exquisite to suffer. It is the love of what has been taken from us all. It is this we must remember, so our civilisation can be restored.

Much of it is gone, but it is not forgotten. In this time of universal subtraction, simply and firmly refuse to go down. Stand up and raise your gaze beyond the mire. We were better than this rotten State, we still are. The reason we are so demoralised is because demoralisation is a part of how we are ruled.

When morale dies so does the effort.

Get up. Get out of the mud and look up. Never falter, do not be afraid.

Never give up, and never forget.

Together, we will remember our civilisation, and we shall not let the light go out in our time.

I have been asked lately to produce a book list, as I talk about books rather a lot.

Here are a few you may not of heard of which I have found have helped me in different ways.

How to order your life

Life is a madhouse these days and it is hard to make sense of it.

This book is the best exegesis of the cause, effects and remedy to the omnicrisis of modern life I have ever read1.

If you are not a Catholic, if you are not a Christian, if you do not believe in God - hold your nose and try to read it.

It is the most remarkable summary of the errors in human thinking, morality, economic injustice and the abuse of State power I have seen.

It is the kind of book that educates you far beyond your expectations. It is challenging, but it is only when we try to do what we cannot, without fear of the inevitable failure, that we overcome our vain aversion to humiliation and learn.

As the Modern Church now speaks for and not to the world, have a look at what the Church said to the modern world as its “terrible beauty” was being born in the late 19th Century.

The Mad Cult of Liberalism

John Gray is the supreme critic of the Liberal idea. His “Seven Types of Atheism” isn’t really about that, though it does enumerate (and rather excoriate) what passes for the reflexive rejection of God these days.

Gray shows how an irrational cult belief in utopian progress and its false idols has replaced Christianity in a belief system so enchanting to its believers that they cannot recognise it is one.

A short book which will teach you more than you realised there was to know about the history of ideas.

The Myth of World War Two

The myths of the 20th century have been created to manufacture mass belief in the system which was reinstalled at its end - the liberal system we inhabit today.

AJP Taylor’s neglected Origins of the Second World War says there were no heroes at state level - only villains. His remarkable account of the war will undoubtedly revise your view of it, and what has been made up about it since.

I have this edition, which contains an introduction Taylor wrote for later editions. If you read nothing more of it, read that introduction. Stunning.

Practical wisdom

The nature of man is changeless and this is demonstrated in the work of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus and his mentor, Epictetus.

These two examples of what is called Stoicisim are full of practical advice at how to become less foolish and remain sane, whilst avoiding becoming a vain buffoon.

I have tried to be less bad for a long time and if you keep trying it works.

The Enchiridion is Epictetus’ “Manual” for life. He talks like a wise uncle you met last week. You will see parts of this and his other thoughts published as his Discourses.

The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius is a brief and bracing primer on the wisdom of self command. Very helpful in this febrile times, where everything we see is a sort of invitation to go insane for someone else’s profit.

How to read poetry

The best poet of the 20th century was Ezra Pound, who edited the work of the second best one, TS Eliot.

Pound’s ABC of Reading shows you, very simply, how to understand poetry and what it actually is.

He tells you poetry is song, the organisation of words on the page, and the throwing of images upon the mind. Poems are made, he says, and he explains how.

No book I have read has kindled the beauty of poetry in me like this one. A treasure, from a master of the art.

What is civilisation?

The liberal system is a revolution to replace our civilisation. It has failed, but in doing so it has replaced so much of our lives with itself that we struggle to remember what we have lost.

Kenneth Clark’s beautifully written and illustrated book is a wonderful account of what it is we have almost forgotten entirely. If you wish to understand the ruins which surround us, what they mean and where they come from, read his “Civilisation”.

The Counter-Revolution

As the rotten and often explicitly Satanic regime dissolves around us, we may wonder what it is we must do next - and how.

Joseph de Maistre lived through the French Revolution. His work is almost appalling to read these days, as it is the most vociferous and brutal appraisal of the limitations and changeless nature of man I have encountered.

If you read nothing more of his magisterial condemnation of the revolutionary idea and what it destroys in Man - as it falsely promises to liberate him - read his essay on The Executioner.

In a world driven mad by the revolutionary cult, De Maistre’s often hilarious diagnosis of the human condition comes as a profound shock.

Rather like plunging into a cold lake in summer, it is breathtaking to read De Maistre, but you feel electrified afterwards and full of vim. Brilliant.

Beauty Matters

Why beauty matters is a profound question, and the Four Quartets of TS Eliot are full of both.

I would highly recommend Eliot’s poetry, as Prufrock is an almost unbearable portrait of the predicament of modern man - for example. His Notes Towards the Definition of Culture are also outstanding, showing for instance that there is no limit to the depths into which Man may fall if guided by his own designs alone.

My personal favourite is Burnt Norton. It echoes Aristotle, speaks of the Still Point, the landmark of human history that is Christ, and the fact that “human kind cannot bear too much reality”. There is the laughter of children in it, and it will speak to you of the door we did not open in all the time we had.

If you can bear the awesome beauty of the ultimate reality, this is the poem for you.

The Mad Cult of Modern Man

Finally, the most comprehensive account of the insanity of our world today which is found in the Catechism of Modernism of Pope St Pius X.

It is about how a religion of mankind has been created, which drives the world mad. It shows who made it, why, and predicted the terrible effects of the institution of a diabolical political cult and its elevation to the status of religion.

No book I have read gives a better account of the deluded limitations of modern philosophy and its disastrous consequences for the human race than this one.

Reading this identified the false idols my education in school and by society had installed in my mind, and it instructed me why they were false with a degree of philosophical rigour I have seldom encountered2.

A masterpiece of practical and spiritual wisdom which is an essential guide to the evil system which rules us today. But not for much longer.

I will return to expand My Reading List as I will inevitably remember some gems I have left out, in that privately anguished way we all do after the fact.

THE STATE WE ARE IN

We find ourselves in a terrible State today.

How did this happen? Why did it happen? What, if anything, can be done to get us out of it?

For over a century we have been ruled into compliance with the liberal system.

The central technique of this system is the rule by media. It is effective because it uses not only the news and entertainment, but all forms of cultural production to make us believe in this system. That this is the only system we are permitted to believe in, and that it is creating the best of all possible worlds.

As we can see, this is not the reality it is has created around us.

The reason we do not know how we got into this dreadful State is because its political technique deliberately excludes anyone or anything which does not represent itself.

The crisis it has created is now terminal. As this system disintegrates around us, we have the opportunity to replace it.

In order to do so, we must know what this machine is, how it was made, and why.

This is the reason I have made this series. It will tell you the story of your life - of our lives - in a way which explains how that story was intentionally made, to make us all believe in a political economy which has functioned as a weapon of mass destruction on our entire civilisation.

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Episode one, which is published today, will talk about the elephant in the room.

The elephant is the total system we inhabit, which wrecks everything it touches.

There are legal and personal risks for naming the parts of this elephant - and much of our lives are now consumed by coping with the terrible effects of its rampage through the living room of our real lives.

This is why I wanted to show you what that elephant really is. It is a system we have been accultured to believe appeared naturally, as a result of some inexorable progress.

In reality, the Liberal system is a machine which was designed to standardise our lives, our beliefs, our entire world, according to its standards - and only to its standards.

We have lived all our lives through the permanent revolution it has made in every aspect of our lives - from our beliefs, our culture, our history, our religion, and the very meaning of them.

It has sought to replace everything with itself, and now it is falling apart.

THE COUNTER-REVOLUTION

In this series I will explain how the system which has ruled us into this permanent State of emergency is a revolutionary system. I will show how it was designed to replace the civilisation we inherited from monastic Christianity over a thousand years ago.

I will explain what civilisation is, where ours came from, and why and how the attempt to replace it with an internationalist machine was undertaken.

I will also show you how all the chaos, madness and corruption this machine has normalised was predicted over a century ago in some of the most valuable accounts of practical, political, and spiritual wisdom ever written down.

A REVOLUTION OF SUBTRACTION

We have been the subjects of an experiment, conducted on the scale of humanity, which has failed. In fact, Liberalism is the god that failed twice.

These facts, and many more, are absent from the story of our lives we have been told by a revolutionary ideology which is infused into every aspect of our modern world - and so it is invisible.

The myths of the 20th century no longer explain the world. They are bankrupt, like our nations, which are being replaced - along with our people - according to the aims of the international nowhereland we are told will be a utopia.

AGAINST THE SUICIDE MACHINE

This promise is a contradiction of the dire State of our lives today. That is one reason this system is disintegrating, now. It is dying of a lack of belief. Its mad wars abroad and chaotic social revolutions at home are dissolving our societies into anarchy. Decades of this has left us morally, financially and spiritually bankrupt.

The reason I have made this series is to explain that there is a revolution in the Church and State, and it is degrading all our lives. It promises the worship of Man whilst reducing him to a disposable component in a vast machinery with global ambitions. It has replaced the value of human life with price, and meaning with madness.

Our economy is a scam, and it consumes us in an array of debt-fuelled addiction economies. It has replaced knowledge with credentials bought on credit. We are increasinly ruled by humourless apparatchiks in lanyards, whose loyalty is paid for by our ever-increasing taxes. Our political economy is a large scale dependency culture on a death machine.

THIS WAS ALL BY DESIGN

This series of films will help you understand how we got into this mess. That it was no accident, but by design. And it will provide you with practical solutions - not merely complain about effects, but explain the causes.

We can and must do better than the politics of national and spiritual suicide. We can have an economy and a politics that is for us, for human flourishing. We can have a political economy of the Common Good, but we cannot have a Common Good if we have nothing in common.

I hope to show you how all the diabolical policies and manufactured mass belief of this corrupting regime has divided us into insane and mutually antagnostic factions, to mobilise our people into a war on their civilisation as a sort of virtue signal.

I will explain how all the crises we have suffered have been created, then marketed, and also monetised by the management technique of our ruling elite - to dissolve all the nations into a borderless international marketplace, browsed by mutually hostile bargain hunters.

We can cure ourselves of this fatal vice. The demand for a sane, and decent, and normal life is the demand for a life worth living. Here I supply you with the information you might require to insist that this is not a demand for the impossible.

It is a demand for a counter-revolution, for the restoration of dignity to our lives.

If we learn how to make it, against the wicked system which is destroying us all, we shall secure a future for our children worth the name.

ESCAPING THE LABYRINTH

This is the story of the State we are in.

If we know how this labyrinth was made, we may avoid being devoured by the Beast at its centre, and make our way out of it, together. Come with me as I unspool a silver thread, to make sense of all the madness, and lead us out of a wicked maze of make belief and degradation.

We do not have to live like this. The revolution we have endured has been made by a rampaging beast which is now out of control. The elephant has gone mad.

We are not obliged to go mad with it. The changes it has made have amounted to a crime so vast against ourselves and our civilisation that it has no name. Every change it makes is a sort of vandalism, an insult to God and Man alike, and it sells this to us as progress.

BEYOND THE REGIME CHANGE REGIME

I will talk about how our regime changed most of all, and why. I will explain the financiers, technocrats and propagandists who made this machine and pioneered the elite despotism which goes by the name of democracy today.

It is a revolution against reality, against the natural order and natural justice created by God.

I will remind you that the nature of reality and being is changeless, as is the nature of Man, and I will show you that we already have all the answers to the many urgent questions of our time. The reason we do not know this is because the way we are ruled has ruled out all the solutions to the problems it has caused.

I will supply you with ideas from outside the Liberal fever dream. I will arm you with these to help fight in the counter revolution. The tide is turning in the war on our civilisation, and we are going to win.

In a time when the normal is demonised, and the demonic normalised, it is hard to stay sane. Do not despair. A better world is now possible.

We were told the State we are in would go on forever. And now it isn’t. It is time to name the elephant in the room, and to ask what our economics and politics are for. It is time we had a political economy that is for us.

Though the distance between that and where we are now will be hard to travel, we cannot make that arduous journey without a map. It is my hope this series will begin the work of drawing that map, showing where we are, how we came to be here, and where best we should go next.

I told you last Friday that I was going up to Makerfield to campaign for Restore Britain in the upcoming byelection. Oh dear. Look what happened.

Whilst I was knocking on doors to talk about the party I was interviewed and went viral by accident. Why did over 40 million people bother to watch me?

I think I know why this Makerfield moment went worldwide. It’s not about me, and it is not really my moment.

It is our moment, as we all know we have to have radical change or we are finished.

I tried to give a reasonable view of the mad system which is ruining all our lives.

RESTORING OUR LIVES

The moment we inhabit is one of a growing sense of crisis. Millions of us worldwide, especially in the West, realise the old system isn’t working - for us.

The Line Goes Up whilst we all go down, and so does everything of value in our lives. This moment is one in which we are realising how the way our economics and politics have ruled us has also impoverished us. We are sick of being lectured by grifters who monetise the ruin of our lives, selling us false hope with empty slogans, and going on to fill the pockets of their friends.

This way of doing business has left us in poverty in terms of money and meaning, and the old system has no solutions because it is itself the cause of all these problems.

WHAT IS THE ECONOMY FOR?

The question I was trying to ask is - what is our economy for?

If it views our people as replaceable and human life as something to be bought or discarded as a matter of convenience then we are for the purposes of the economy and nothing more.

The question people are coming to ask is “what is our politics for?” Our elections don’t produce change and that’s why so many people don’t vote in them. That is what they are for - to continue the system as before.

We are all beginning to realise this. The crisis will get worse, and so more people will come to ask whether we can have an economy and politics that works for us, instead of being indentured to the one we have. If the answer is no, there is no hope.

But the answer is in fact “Yes”.

I think that answer is the reason that, nationally and internationally, belief in Restore Britain is surging. When people hear about the party, they recognise it is here to answer the questions that everyone is asking but which will never be addressed - or even mentioned - by the parties promoted on television.

Restore is here to save the nation, which is our people. It is the response to the case made by reality, and we have to do better than the State we are in today.

For the sake of our children, who are the future of our people, we must take back the State from the economics and politics of mass destruction.

Restore Britain is a beacon of hope in these dark times, and that is why the Makerfield Moment has echoed around the world.

A SYSTEM OF NATIONAL SUICIDE

The mad system is not working - for us. It is working for the elites who rule and police it. The crises it creates are also forms of business, which degrade our lives.

Here is one take on why political economy matters. The debt based international economic model produces the political beliefs and parties of Liberal democracy.

This essay explains how this has created a system which hates anything and anyone good.

Every evil is justified with reference to the economy. If the economy is replacing our nations with a borderless supermarket browsed by mutually hostile strangers, what good does it do? It is replacing us, too. We must get rid of it or it will do for us all. The economy views us all as disposable consumer units.

This crisis gives us the chance to dispose of it - for good.

I believe Restore Britain is the only party which will save the nation, and which dares to recognise and correct all the insanity I mention in this brief summary.

MAD WARS

I went on about mad wars. I have written for years for LifeSiteNews and on this Substack about them.

Recently I explained the literally insane technique used to create and escalate the war in Ukraine.

I argue how these mad wars change our political and media culture at home, too, resulting in the promotion of mass destruction as a sort of State religion.

One reason you will not have heard of me is my extensive coverage of Israel’s wars, too. Which brings us to how regime change has ruined the West.

REGIME CHANGE

The regime change era has changed our regime from a stable and relatively happy array of nations into a permanent state of emergency. It has left the West financially and morally bankrupt.

Alongside mad foreign wars which drive mass migration, our regime has been changed through the sponsorship of social revolution by the same machinery of power which launches wars abroad.

REMIGRATION

One of the ways our regime has changed is mass migration. The mass migration crisis has become an industry in itself. It is a human trafficking enterprise on a vast scale, partnered with NGOs and the Western states who started the wars.

Regime change wars began the mass migration era, establishing routes and regimens which opened the floodgates to rapid demographic replacement.

There is no future for any of us in the West without remigration. By the time my son is my age, he will be in an ethnic minority in his own country.

If the economic system demands we are replaced forever in our own home, then the economic system is the problem - not us.

With many people talking about civil war I wrote an essay on violence. In it, I explain why we must avoid violence at all costs, showing how we can instead build for political victory. If we do not win, we are finished as a people.

THE RULE BY MEDIA

I go on about political technique, which means how political power is refined to better rule us.

The idea being we don’t find out how it works, or that it is there at all.

This power is everywhere today, and so it is invisible - until you think about it. Then you disagree with it, and then it punishes you.

It is remarkable how few people realise that the power of making people believe things is the power to rule.

This is how we are ruled and so this is also why we don’t see it. Most if not all of our beliefs have been supplied to us by a mass culture produced to make belief in the liberal system.

I have written a lot on the use of mass culture to make belief in the liberal system, which is a detailed explanation of the rule by media.

Here I explain how our mass culture is also a form of propaganda.

Here I go into how this was developed in the early 20th century:

…and in this report I show how this is used to elevate the political beliefs of Liberalism to the status of religion. That’s why we seem to be ruled by a mad cult, because in fact, we are. And if you point that out they call you a loony.

Finally, I argue this creates a sort of ruling social algorithm, which is now being digitised. This is the reason the same terms and conditions apply in online as well as offline “community standards” these days.

Our lives are being standardised by this process, which is processing us.

THE POSTWAR LIBERAL SYSTEM

I also showed how the liberal system was the God that Failed Twice - as it collapsed the first time it was tried, a hundred years ago.

It is collapsing again now.

If you would like to read it, I have written a Brief History of Liberal Democracy. In it, I argue it is a revolutionary system intended to replace our civilisation with itself, and was set up by international financiers, propagandists and technocrats to do precisely that.

This is why anyone who talks about reality honestly is framed as an enemy.

The international liberal order is dissolving now. It is running out of money, power, and belief, which means a lot of people will suddenly have nothing to believe in.

As a result I warn you of why a lot of people may break down mentally as a result.

THE SOCIAL MISSION OF RESTORATION

I also argue you should see these people not as political enemies, but as captives and casualties of a machinery of power which set out to remake them in its own image, thereby making them dependent on itself.

If we are to restore our nations and secure a future worth the name for our children, we must help the wounded and try to heal the sick - as so many of our people have fallen victim to a dying machinery of mass destruction.

We have a mission to rebuild the economy and rescue it from scam economics. We also have a mission beyond money - to restore the dignity of our people and rescue them from madness, dependency, addiction and hopelessness.

Finally, as an introduction to an economics and politics beyond Liberalism I presented the political economy of the traditional Catholic Church.

It is a blueprint for the rescue of our Christian civilisation from evil and insanity.

We have been ruled into this mess by decisions and make belief. We can take better decisions. We can do better than make belief.

For the sake of our children we must do better than this.

We are going to win.

Since becoming infamous by mistake I have attracted a lot of new readers. I apologise to my regular subscribers for this self-indulgent summary, but I provide it as I think it my duty to explain what I am on about and why.

I do this to try to promote understanding of the causes of the terrible effects we inhabit, as this is the first step towards removing them - for the good of all.

Why is the rump of NATO trying to start a war with Russia, whilst the West’s wars and sanctions collapse its own economy? In this brief series I will examine the schizoid political culture which has led the once dominant West into decline.

It should take you about 15 minutes to read.

In this first part I use the Ukraine war to illustrate “Schizopolitique” - the political technique of making people believe that there is no alternative to the insane reality you have created, to realise an impossible goal.

We see how a concept of “Pragmatic Boundary Testing” means we are inched up to and over every “red line” in reality, to realise too late how too far we have gone.

The West that was is in a sorry state. The US is fighting a war in Iran which looks likely to resume, in a fresh round of destruction that could devastate the global economic system it used to lead.

The EU and Britain are wedded to a losing war in Ukraine, whose latest escalations threaten Russian retaliation with strikes on European and even British soil.

In both cases the political elites act as if the world has not changed. Its policies of economic and military power to secure its dominance have failed. They are producing a united front against the Western system itself, with its politicians seen as incapable of reliable or even rational agreement.

Neither of these wars makes any economic, political or even basic sense.

Why is the West acting against its own national interest?

This is a post about the split personality of what passes for American and European grand strategy today.

Though these poles are apart from one another in terms of their stated “values”, they are partners in crime against the fortunes of the people they rule.

This is Schizopolitics, and here are some ways in which it has drowned our world in delusions.

For three decades or more we in the West have become used to the idea that war can be permissioned as a sort of civilising instrument, that it works in this way, and that its costs can be made invisible to our way of life. In short, we can watch explosions take place in countries about which we know little, and nothing really bad happens to us.

This isn’t the case with the wars on Iran and in Ukraine. Both were chosen by the West. Trump launched the war on Iran for Israel, as his admin have repeatedly admitted. It has done nothing but harm to America and the global economic system its navy formerly policed.

CHOOSING SELF DESTRUCTION

The ousting of Yanukovich in the 2014 Maidan coup showed the Russians there could be no reasonable hope of a new and cooperative relationship with the West, and so they looked East and elsewhere instead. In the East, the Chinese began to follow a ten year plan to detach themselves from the Western system and to build their own in its place. Both powers have watched the West choose a path of self destruction, whilst building alternatives outside the Western system.

The Western decision to attempt to expand and consolidate power by means of war has been self destructive in both cases to a US-led Western order that is no longer led by the US, and no longer creates or represents much in the way of order at all. It is schizopolitical. It refuses to recognise reality, and this makes it incapable of doing anything but harm - mainly to itself.

SCHIZOPOLITIQUE

The technique of Schizopolitics is to push right up against the limits of sanity and exceed them, little by little, until you belatedly realise you have gone too far.

This mad strategy can be called “Pragmatic Boundary Testing”. It is explained in the US/NATO approach to the war in Ukraine as a means of constantly pushing up against, and crossing, “red lines” set by the Russians1.

This is a prime example of schizopolitique. From the Russian point of view, this political technique is insane, as it reduces to a series of repeated and increasingly outrageous provocations, accompanied by sneering in the domestic Western press.

Of course it exceeds the boundaries of what is sane. Yet it gets us all into a place where this insanity has gradually become our new reality.

Look around and you will see this process of radical change at the tempo of tiny transgressions has taken place everywhere. One little boundary bending move and then another. There is no point at which anyone can say the transition began, but the trans-sanity is everywhere now.

No great leap forward, no sudden change, and one day our system ends up like a self-harming teenager - in a personality crisis, bleeding from a thousand tiny self inflicted cuts. The mildest cajoling to think again, or at all, is met with histrionic screeching.

This is the state of the State in the West, of the Church in the Vatican, of our hysterical media and the crazes it transmits as the only respectable takes.

Schizopolitique makes the basic mention of reality a crime to permission the craziest and most destructive ideas. No one in their right mind would agree to them if presented openly, and so they aren’t. Yet the reality they produce is so awful we do not need people to risk their livelihoods to point it out.

We have to live in the asylum these lunatics have made of our world. The Ukraine war is one example of how this asylum was built.

UKRAINE: SCHIZOPOLITICS GONE WILD

The strategy of constantly “edging” the red lines is partnered with a media campaign to present Russia as weak, unserious, and at the same time dangerously dismissive of the rules based order of the West which claims to contain these threats as it strives to create them.

In the Western think tanks, when the Russian response is not immediate retaliation their warnings are framed as empty threats of bellicose nuclear brinkmanship plus an incapability to enforce them.

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) is the leading British military thinktank. Founded by the Duke of Wellington, it is now staffed by pantsuit brigades who think in the same tongues as Sanne Marin, Annalena Baerbock, and Ursula Von Der Leyen.

In the lingua franca of their schizoid mentality, Russia is weak, it is also a threat, we must never talk to them and only fight, and we can win a war against them because they will never use their weapons against us if we do so. Why is all this happening? To defend and extend the values of “The West”.

This is a West which has morally and financially bankrupted its own people whilst claiming it examples the supreme - and only legitimate - political and ideological system. Of course, this would not be schizopolitics if that reality were factored in. Instead, outfits like RUSI trumpet illusory triumphs whilst leading everyone into disaster.

In August 2024 RUSI reprinted a section of a Washington Post article which is one example of the schizopolitical escalation of self destruction:

“Putin is spooked, the war is winnable, we have the initiative, there is nothing to fear from the Russians.”

This is pure propaganda of course. It has been proven dangerously wrong.

The vaunted Kursk invasion (a British operation), was a media victory and a military catastrophe.

Now the European nations who believed their own BS belief system have been rattled by the imminent threat of missile strikes on their own territory.

Drone strikes have hit Moscow, as well as Russian oil refineries.

These drones are being manufactured in European and British plants, which the Russians have warned may become legitimate strike targets in retaliation.

These drone attacks have been celebrated in the British press as something Putin wishes to hide from Russians, when in fact Russian public opinion is pressuring him to strike back - rather than pushing him out of office.

This is typical of the schizoid framing of this war. Westerners read of how plucky Ukraine is terrifying Putin, who is losing, and who is dying, and whose people will turn against him, whilst years of escalating Western-backed terror attacks in Russia coupled with long-range missile strikes have changed the national mood of Russians from one of patience to a demand for decisive retaliation.

“Russia resorts to supply chain desperation” in the schizo narrative, whilst in the real world it is Western wars and sanctions which are rapidly dismantling the trade routes and agreements on which the Western economy depends.

CREATING MONSTERS

Schizopolitique always creates its own monsters, because it is one itself, and this is its only real remaining power. Its crazy fantasies are only rendered sane when some enemy can be monstered into being, like the Russians, with whom we formerly traded and who wanted to join us in a post Soviet Europe instead.

The dangerous fantasies and illusions which inspire it produce real life dangers, to which it has no realistic solutions - as it does not recognise reality any more.

This is how you become “agreement incapable”. That means no one trusts what you say any more, as you are obviously just making things up to suit yourself.

This is how you destroy your own credibility, your own energy access, how you outsource everything you depend on to a China you now demonise. It’s how you present your system, which is a weapon of mass destruction, as the only solution to the problems it has created itself.

It is Britain, followed closely by the German government, which has pushed for escalation in Ukraine most aggressively.

Since its former Prime Minister Boris Johnson pressed Zelensky to bin the Istanbul peace agreement and fight on with full NATO support instead, British strategy has been to edge the red lines set out by Russia.

As the Russian ambassador to the OSCE says, it will come as a surprise to Europeans that they are one day soon in a direct war with Russia - but it will be no surprise to the Russians. This is where schizotakes are taking us.

THE PERSIAN GULF

Iran has prepared for decades for the sort of mad war being waged on it today. The Russians have kept their industrial base mothballed to scale up for the sort of conflict being talked up in the European press.

This week Britain relaxed sanctions on Russian oil. This is because they are faced with an energy crisis. This crisis has been produced by US, British and EU actions which destroyed Germany’s cheap natural gas supply.

Sanctions have compounded the problem, weakening the West - not Russia. Now the war in Iran has produced a serious shortfall, which may make crisis a way of life which replaces cheap consumer goods, affordable energy and food with a dramatic downward revision of the Western standard of living. Prices will go up, the value of money down, as more is printed to cover the debts2.

Long term strategic planning is never undertaken in the national interest. Yet the schizo plan to liberate Iranians by bombing them has been developed over decades. So too was the plan to destroy Europe’s cheap and reliable energy supply from Russia.

RED LINES MATTER?

In 2017, red lines mattered to the regime press, which said the US under Trump should be the one to draw them.

In 2021 Putin warned Russia would be “forced to act” if the West ignored Russia’s red lines in Ukraine.

The West did ignore Russia, and so there was a war. Of course it did, because the West believes that it and only it has the legitimate power to draw red lines wherever it likes, and no one else.

This is the reason there are red lines in Ukraine at all, as the West sought to expand its borders to include the Borderlands of Russia. It chose conflict in place of cooperation, creating a New World Disorder in the process. The boundaries were tested, pragmatically producing the “fateful error” which George F Kennan forewarned in 1997.

Now the West refuses to even recognise Russia’s own “red lines” at all, framing Russian attempts to draw them as bluff or empty threats, and Western ones as just by default.

This is the mentality of schizopolitique - only I am to be believed, and only my beliefs are right, and I don’t have to recognise yours.

IMAGINARY DANGERS

The narrative that Russia’s “red lines” are imaginary has been constructed to permission a strategy of constant provocation.

In this mindset, the conditions which will see Russia retaliate against the West with military force are simply empty threats.

This means the West can and indeed did go on to cross every “red line” the Russians drew - “calling Putin’s bluff”.

This was done not instantly, but incrementally, pragmatically testing and then exceeding all the boundaries.

Martin Starchak’s Carnegie report from November 2024 shows the danger of mistaking a change in nuclear doctrine for a nothingburger.

NATO has pushed the red lines so far that there is now serious talk of the Russians striking drone factories in Britain, Germany and the Baltics. This is in retaliation to constant escalation by the West which now sees the weapons it makes, supplies and often helps to operate strike the Russian capital3.

HAHA! THE RUSSIANS HAVEN’T NUKED US!

This works well for two reasons. One, the Russians can be presented as a paper tiger in the regime press. And they are.

Two, this helps to build the narrative that Russia is losing and can be beaten in a war that is no longer going to be fought by America - but by the Europeans and Britain alone.

What this means is that Russia might seem strong, but because it has not used its strategic bomber fleet, vast army and the largest nuclear arsenal on earth, it is in fact weak.

This is a second danger of schizopolitics. You come to believe in your own make belief. These beliefs have been made to make a war with Russia look sane. It isn’t.

LIMITED VIEWS

The limited view of Western thought in the last few decades is also exposed as deeply schizotypical. It sees only its own idea of itself, and never the world from the point of view of the interests outside its political and economic belief system.

It simply does not recognise that the multipolar world is here. The train is leaving the station and it will not come back. Schizopolitics is an addiction to a mirage. It is not the 1990s anymore, US-led Western dominance is over, and it is not coming back. Best to realise the new reality and make the best of it, rather than demonise realism and make the worst of all possible worlds.

From the outside it looks like the West has simply gone mad and chosen to kill itself. This is a fair appraisal, and is shared by growing numbers of Westerners themselves. The moment is coming where something gives, and given the gravity of the moment that could be everything.

CREATING THE DEMAND FOR SANITY

The recent history of Western grand strategy is a series of readily predictable effects, caused by policies whose destructive process of crisis production were all predicted in advance. These warnings were ignored, as the power of self belief at elite level trumped them all.

Trump felt he could win, and so he went ahead and lost bigly despite decades of warnings against the folly of indulging the Israeli’s war on Iran.

The Liberals were dazzled by the prize of their global ambitions, seeing in the conquest of Russia by proxy war the wealth which would defray the costs of Project Domination. The impossibility of victory is resisted at the highest level, because defeat by reality is simply too awful to contemplate.

We all have to live in the mess made by these makers of belief. Where have their schizo takes taken us? We have arrived at a point where the demand for sanity is the most pressing issue in our politics.

Nationally and internationally, we are finished if schizopolicy continues to vandalise reality.

The insanity it has supplied is creating a demand for an end to schizopolitics.

The revolution in the Catholic Church is more widely recognised than ever, and as two books written about it reveal, the only real questions are: when it began, and whether you are for or against it.

I have been reading two books about Synodality, one from the SSPX - and one from within the Holy See. If you are interested in the crisis in the Church today, I would strongly recommend you read them both.

Every week on Faith and Reason I have to talk about some fresh enormity or other coming out of the modern Church.

We have all seen the many effects of this crisis, from declining mass attendance, the decline in the belief of the Real Presence, and the defection of the modern Church from Catholic doctrine in its rush to welcome the spirit of the modern liberal age.

Reading these two books has helped me to understand what is going on. They have given me a remarkable information picture about what is happening, why it is happening, who is doing it, and what we should do about it. They have also shown me that the counter-revolution is not restricted to religious extremists like me.

In fact, it seems everyone who really believes in Christ and in His Church is beginning to realise the revolution is here, and it is here to replace both Him and the religion He gave us.

Our lives are full of trash today and I think we should take care to only spend our time on things which truly deserve it, as our time is not limitless, and how we spend it shapes who we are.

If we are to be equal to the task of the defence of Christ, His message and His Church, here are two takes on Synodality which will not waste your time on earth but enrich it.

Each will help to arm the Christian soldier in this most heroic of battles.

Synodality - An Attack on Papal Authority

The first book I have been reading is this one:

Published in January 2024 by Angelus Press, it is a collection of six essays on “The Crisis of Doctrine and Papal Supremacy in the Modern Church.”

The essays are all written by priests of the Fraternal Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX).

It is a precise, theological and chronological treatment of how Synodality undermines the power of the Pope, the doctrine of the Catholic religion and the hierarchical constitution of the Church.

It is also an excellent guide to the political technique of revolution, showing how the Modernist revolt has seized the Church more or less precisely as their patron, Pope St Pius X, said it would seek to do so in his 1907 masterwork Pascendi Dominici Gregis.

I cannot do justice to the luminous (and illuminating) detail of this short but excellent book on the current phase of the crisis in the Church. It provides the sort of reading which educates as well as informs you, and I am delighted that I came across it. I come from the most poorly catechised generation in the history of the Church, and I feel a lot less ignorant of what I should believe and why having absorbed this brilliant primer.

Before we read it, and certainly afterwards, we can confidently say this book comes from outside the Vatican - though it makes a solid case for the restoration of Papal authority and the doctrines on which that relies.

It examines causes of the Synodal Revolution, tracing them through the processes resulting from the Second Vatican Council. This makes this book an engaging treatment of the political technique of the revolution in the Church, which is obviously interesting to me, as I think this technique is of course an instance of the liberal political technique of the 20th century applied to the replacement of the Catholic religion.

Professor Thomas is having none of that Vatican 2 talk, as his book says Synodality started with the disastrous pontificate of Pope Francis. As we shall see, however, he does have a lot to say about the revolutionary ideas which inspired the diabolical project of Synodality we see today.

Synodality or Catholic Revivalism

The second book is this one. Published in February 2026, it is written by Professor Wm. A Thomas.

Prof. Thomas is a Catholic theologian, a Member of the Pontifical Marian Academy International at the Vatican and the Director of the John Paul II Institute of Marian Studies in Fatima.

Professor Thomas has spent much of his working life in the Vatican. He studied as a youth with Robert Prevost (now Pope Leo XIV) at the Angelicum (the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome), beginning his long career in the Holy See as the English Secretary under Pope John Paul II.

Thomas has known every Pope from then until know, and is acquainted personally with many of the leading cardinals and bishops of our time. We can confidently say his book comes from inside the Vatican.

It is astonishing therefore to find his work is far more damning about Synodality than that of the Society. What Prof. Thomas calls for is a Catholic revival, saying what Synodality really is - a new religion to replace the Catholic faith. He shows the theological reasons why this is the case, and he pulls no punches.

He denounces the Vatican under Pope Leo XIV for continuing a

‘Woke Synodal Process’ which has absolutely nothing to do with the Church’s divine mission which is the salvation of souls.

In this post I explore the crisis created by the war on Iran, what this means for Donald Trump, and how a strange mixture of fiction and reality remade and unmade America.

I look into the man who made Donald Trump, to see how the power of make belief propelled Trump and his America into a losing argument with reality.

THE THUCYDIDES TRAP

Donald Trump’s visit to meet the Chinese leader Xi Jinping took place amid the ongoing 2026 Iran War, a regime change operation supposed to be completed in days which is now in its third month - and with no end in sight.

The notable quote came from the Chinese leader - which was a gentle reminder of the “Thucydides trap”.

This is a reference to warlike Sparta’s conflict with the its upcoming rival power, Athens. The resulting Peloponnesian War recorded by Thucydides is now understood as a record of human folly at state level by both sides. The warning is an obvious parallel to the limits of military action and of strategic overreach.

Whilst in China, Trump secured no diplomatic breakthroughs, and this is not surprising - as he did not bring many diplomats.

A group of CEOs accompanied Trump, showing again how his administration has tried to replace diplomacy with financial incentives to resolve conflicts of national interest.

This failed in Gaza, as it failed with the Peace Board - with war devastating the Gulf and Arab states induced to join it on promises of regional economic development.

The attempt to induce an end to the Ukraine war with enticements into financial deals was met with frustration by the Russians, of course, with Gruenberg, Witkoff and Kushner’s offers of a stake in ventures such as those of Blackrock seen as an astonishing departure from reality.

It was an attempt to use moneymaking to solve the essential question of the war, which is where the borders of the West and Russia are to be drawn.

“Essentially,” wrote Alaistar Crooke in February this year,

“…this is the Trump-New York real-estate experience transferred to a real-life conflict – in which ‘blood’ usually represents the true currency invested in a conflict.

This approach underlines the West’s degradation into a nihilism that views sacrifices made by men and women in support of their country as a trifle to be bought out.”

The question of where the West ends and Russia begins is itself a result of the refusal to accept reality, and to act as if there were no limits to the power of US actions.

The 2014 coup, carried out by the US in Ukraine, is one event in a campaign dating back to 1952 to use US influence and military power to isolate and destabilise Russia.

The reason why “The borderlands” - which is what “The Ukraine” means - became a militarised question at all is because of a decades-long project to replace reality with a new world authored by the United States itself.

The refusal to recognise or respect reality is the general flaw here, because the financialised dealmaking frame excludes the very reason why the wars in Ukraine, in Gaza and in Iran are being fought as they are.

To the purely money-minded, conflict as an existential question for a people makes no business sense.

THE MENU DROPS DOWN

The failure here is also a strategic one for a US administration which sees war as a matter of choice, which in typical consumer fashion is selected from a menu of options.

The menu of reasons supplied for the war in Iran, as for those in Ukraine and Gaza, is written by the would-be authors of reality. The choices it offers are changed accordingly, and always in complete disregard of the people fighting and dying in them.

None of the options take any account of why people fight at all, and nor do they recognise their suffering.

The menu of options for ending the war is presented in a flourish of business opportunities, property deals and share options. The real reasons for the war are simply getting in the way of making money, and so they are dismissed.

This means none of these conflicts can be resolved, and so they aren’t. At least, they are not going to be resolved by Mr Trump and his New York Method. Trump met Xi with a planeload of business leaders. Will business deals dissolve the dedication of the Chinese to realise a united China, and absorb Taiwan?

These views are of two separate ways of seeing the world, and though they may be able to coexist, past form strongly suggests the significant difference between reality and its reframing as real estate. It is unlikely a few lucrative deals will dissolve the boundaries of China, its power and what its people will put up with , just as they have failed to do so with those of Russia, Ukraine, the Palestinians and the Iranians.

In short, Donald Trump is in an argument with reality which he has lost, and this is an even greater defeat than that he and the US empire has suffered in Iran, because it means neither he nor the United States no longer commands the power of make belief.

As with all regime change operations, the regime that changed most in this final one is at home - not abroad. Why is this the last regime change?

It will change the US utterly, and this change is coming home soon.

THE POWER OF MAKE BELIEF

The regime change era was marked by a tremendous self belief on the part of its architects, precisely expressed in a famous quote attributed to the Bush era neocon Karl Rove.

”We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality,” was what was said, according to Ron Suskind’s 2004 article.

The title of that article is “Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush”.

Bush and Trump, the two presidents who bookend the regime change era, shared a faith in themselves and in an idea of America which has never looked more uncertain than it does now.

THE FAILURE TO CREATE REALITY

On September 16th, 2001, George W Bush said “this war on terror is going to take a while”.

So far, it has taken 25 years, and much more with it.

Another “CEO President” has now delivered the end of the regime change regime. Trump’s war of choice was also inspired by a deeply politicised idea of faith and sold with reasons we have no reason to believe were ever true at all.

The WMDs never really existed, and just as Iraq failed to transition into a liberal democracy, none of the stated aims of the war on Iran have been met. And nor are they likely to be.

The credibility gap is not only between Trump’s tweets and reality, nor even between the absurd assessments of victory given by his administration against an obvious strategic defeat.

It is a capability gap between what America believed it was and what it is now.

5D CHECKMATE

This is the recognition of limits, of hard and soft power, of the power to make people believe in your power, to make deals, to force compliance with sanctions, to use military power as an instrument of policy, and to maintain a belief in your own unipolar power when the world has changed around you. Of course, this also means you and your team are unlikely to win any elections anytime soon.

This has been called Trump’s “Zugwang” moment, using a concept from chess where any move you make is a losing move.

A man lionised for his 5D chess has manoeuvred himself into a 5D checkmate.

Trump is now fenced in by five interdigitated dimensions of an inescapable strategic loss — military, diplomatic, economic, reputational, and domestic-political — that he and his administration continues to present as a brilliant victory.

It is equally impossible for Trump to admit this in public as it is for him to not know this in private. And so the conflict is frozen because of a man and his method, which made him who he is, and why he makes the decisions and revisions which create his ever-winning takes.

This situation (and its non solution) could only have been created by Donald Trump, and he could not have had it any other way, because of the way he is.

THE FACTS DON’T MATTER

Trump seems to have been made in the deals which made his fortune in New York. Decades ago, his mentor at that time was a man called Roy Cohn.

Described as a “cutthroat attorney” in the 2024 film The Apprentice, Cohn taught the young Trump a series of maxims that would appear in Trump’s own “Art of the Deal”. They can be summarised as:

• Attack, attack, attack.

• Admit nothing and deny everything.

• No matter what happens, you claim victory and never admit defeat..

The film, which is a feature film and not a documentary, has many other revealing moments. One of them is when the onscreen Cohn says,

“You create your own reality”, before adding that “Truth is a malleable thing.”

There is something of the spirit of our dying age in these words, echoing the Bannonite “flooding the zone with s***” media strategy revealed in 2018. As Eli Hazan, the new director of Netanyahu’s Press Office said in April

“The truth doesn’t matter anymore. The Facts don’t matter anymore.”

Hazan said flooding social media with fabricated narratives, “just like Trump does,” could defend Israel’s now toxic actions with this method.

Yet the facts do matter, and the fact of the matter is that the war in Iran has revealed facts about America which will matter a great deal to Americans themselves and to the world order it once led. Why then do these people act as if they can escape the consequences of the reality their actions have created?

What caused such a strange effect?

THE DEALMAKER WHO MADE DONALD TRUMP

This is inspired by the power of make belief exemplified in Roy Cohn, and which was an article of America’s faith in itself in the self-hypnotic moment of American unipolarity after the fall of the Soviet Union.

When I first heard Col. Douglas MacGregor talk about Roy Cohn’s influence on Trump I thought it was a remarkable insight.

It is, and not only into the mentality of Donald Trump the dealmaker.

When I looked into this film I saw that the rules of Trump the young apprentice were also those of a President of a United States which had seen itself as possessing a limitless power, for whom reality itself was a script to be rewritten by the world’s leading actor.

The collision of fiction and reality in this dramatisation of Trump’s formative years is also an acute retelling of the regime change era.

In one scene, a fictional Trump reveals much of the truth about the real one, the reality he creates around himself, and the political technique which translated this into a decades-long foreign policy which has left America bankrupt in money, morality and meaning.

Trump, played by Sebastian Stan, is talking to Craig Warnock as Tony Schwartz. In reality, Schwartz is the man who would ghostwrite Trump’s bestselling book, The Art of the Deal.

“I got three rules. OK? They’re my three rules of winning”, says “Trump”.

“Rule one: the world is a mess, OK? The world is a mess, Tony. You have to fight back. You have to have a tough skin. Attack, attack, attack. If somebody comes after you with a knife, you shoot ‘em back with a bazooka.”

Rule two is more revealing yet.

“Rule two: what is truth, Tony? What is truth? You know what’s truth? What you say is truth, what I say is truth, what he says is truth. What is the truth in life? Deny everything, admit nothing.

You know what’s true? What I say is true. And third of all, most important, no matter how f***** you are, you never ever ever admit defeat. You always claim victory. Always.”

“Tony” replies

“You know, that sounds like the US foreign policy for the past quarter century.”

Yes, this says a lot about the beliefs which made America what it is today, and which unmade it, too. Yes, this is said in a film and is a dramatised version of real events.

Yet again, in so many ways, the truth spoken by American power today is not stranger than fiction - it is fiction.

The fictional film seems to tell us more truth about Trump than he ever will himself. At first glance, it looks like a representation of reality which explains far more about the state he, America and the world is in that anything which comes out of the Zone Flooding Machine of the White House.

SEASON FINALE?

This is a story of invincible self belief that cannot comprehend its limits to constrain or shape reality. This is the story of a power which shaped much our lives, and it is coming to an end.

Today, the only people who seem convinced by its script are the actors whose livelihoods depend on it and their dimishing audience - who look more like desperate refugees from reality than diehard fans of a soon-to-be-cancelled television spectacle.

This is a dependency culture, which relies on the supply of (and the making of demand for) whatever the cast can make up to keep the show on the road.

The people whose livelihoods depend on reality are going to find out very soon that the facts and the truth matter a great deal, and the time it takes them do so is another looming limit for the salesman-in-chief of American make belief.

Explanatory Power

Nothing makes sense these days and so ideas which help us to make sense of everything would be very useful indeed.

One way to test the value of ideas is to see how much they explain.

How complete are those explanations? Can we make more sense of things with an idea than without it?

Try this idea out to see if it satisfies this method.

Standardising the world

Imagine that some people came up with the idea of turning the whole world into one thing, everywhere.

You would have to equalise the population, their history, culture, traditions, moral beliefs and religion for starters, but if you succeeded you would have a Standard Global System.

I think this is the basis of the political economy of liberal democracy.

I think if we imagine the goal of this system was to produce a single world economy then all the attempts to install a worldwide monoculture to replace the ones we had make sense.

It also makes sense of the political system produced by this economic vision.

Making Belief in the Global Machine

To recap:

• First, the economic model

• Second, the politics

• Third, the values

The economic basis furnishes a politics to serve itself, and the politics creates values to serve itself. As a whole, the liberal system is animated by technique - which is the refinement, over time, of the process of producing a standard result.

So, economics creates the politics which generates values. Taken together, this machine produces belief - in itself. The belief takes place in you1.

The beliefs are placed in you by the mass culture, which mass produces belief in the system which produces the culture. This is how they make belief, and this is how they make you into a component in a machine.

Some of the effects of this at scale are harder to spot than others. Here I will explain how this creates helpless consumers with no self control.

HOW POLITICAL ECONOMY SHAPES YOU

Political Economy is a tedious phrase.

Economists are disputatious and most politicians are absolutely abhorrent. Yet there is treasure underneath the dungheap, and here it is.

Our political economy sees us all as economic units. We are consumers. The best we can do for The Economy is to consume as much as possible, as often as we can. This is why our money is debt, and why debt is relatively freely available.

This is why there is so little sense of duty, civic, moral or otherwise these days. It is because our political economy requires maximum consumption. This requires people who will indulge wants rather than prudently consider needs.

The ideal sort of person in this system is like a perpetual child. People with low impulse control are great, because they will more readily give in to what ever desire is presented to them, and so more money sloshes around.

Sloshing is what we are supposed to do. It doesn’t matter to The Economy what it is you do to make the sloshing slosh. As long as the money-go-round continues, the Line Goes Up and that is all that matters.

We can get sloshed and therefore buy booze, taxis, kebabs and then seek some solace the day after for our shameful doings. These things all cost money, which is basically credit issued by The Money Power, and the more of it going around the better off we are. Or so we are told.

EVERYTHING MUST GO

In reality consumerism consumes us, the consumers - and everything else of value in life. It turns everything into something to be sold. This is called commodification.

In turn, everything then has a sort of notional value in terms of how much of it can be expected to be sold, or how confident someone is that the interest payments can be made on some loan or other.

This is called financialisation, and it is this Money Power which has consumed everything from human life in its production to the conduct of international relations today.

Of course, this system is morally neutral. It is nihilist. It also produces its own sort of amoral values, which you will notice immediately if you ever recommend anyone restrains their odious behaviour for any reason.

Our political economy has replaced duties with consumer rights, which means you can largely indulge yourself without any limit, howsoever you please, and anyone who tries to tell you no is a rotter. This is self destructive on the personal scale and equally destructive on the social scale. Yet social cohesion is not all we have lost in this globally ambitious profit model.

LEARNED HELPLESSNESS - A GARDEN PARABLE

Everything is turned into money. In place of duties, vocations, institutions, durability and and real purpose, we are supplied with goods and services with terms and conditions applying.

We have a knowledge economy in which no one knows anything and in which no one knows how to make or do anything, either. This is great if you are The Economy, but not so great if you are You. Apropos this, a parable from my life.

I was not answering any comments on Saturday as I had mistakenly looked out of the window of late and realised the garden had started to mock me.2 This I could not have, and so I spent the day teaching what we laughingly call the lawn A Lesson.

Halfway through the correction of this verdant upstart the lawnmower became insubordinate.

Black smoke - usually not a Good Sign of anything - belched from its bottom. Being a Consumer my first thought was to chuck it in the bin and go and buy another one. And then I chastised myself - only quietly as I have refined that technique - and took it to bits instead.

Lawnie’s little belt had whipped off and so I cleaned up his gummy spools and put it back on. I screwed him back together and was thrilled to see he worked again - and smokelessly, too.

The sense of victory which filled me on seeing him submit to my will was tremendous. I had learned Not To Be A Twit in a significant way. Better still, another sort of Lesson was delivered to the remainder of my unruly lawn.

Had I not elected to suffer in wrangling Lawnie back to work I would have produced more economic sloshing. I would have bought another consumer consumable.

I would have filled up the earth with a bit more trash, but who cares because Line Go Up.

Instead, I learned how to fix Lawnie, and also how not to say swearwords loudly whilst doing so, as my neighbours were pretending not to watch me suffer.

HELPLESS DEPENDENTS

It is better to have people who know little or nothing of practical value because when they need help they will pay for someone - or something - to help them.

This is why helpless people are the optimal people for the consumer economy.

You may consider now why so many adults are tantrum-prone lifelong children, and then consider how these traits are favoured by the political economy.

It supplies therapy, drugs, holidays, leisure activities, cut-price celebrity totems. It never supplies cures, but always more of itself, in every case.

Look again, and you can reframe much of our consumer economy as the clever marketing of some form of dependence. What is “brand loyalty” other than the deliberate forming of habit?

Our political economy creates a dependency culture.

It can be seen as the marketing of addictions as special offers. Some of these offers are material, like sports shoes or soft drinks, some are sensational like sex or gambling, others are conceptual - like lifestyle choices and identity.

These last are often invisible because they have become indivisible from the idea of ourselves.

We come to depend on these things, these habits they form become us, and so we can no longer see what they or we really are.

IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID

Now you can see how our political economy mass produces people towards its own ends.

We have a consumer economy. It sells products, lifestyles, brands, beliefs to people patterned on the cheap and instant gratification of whatever we think we need, now.

When you realise where these “needs” come from, you realise why you should care about political economy, because these desires make us who we are, toward a given end, and that end is destroying us and the civilisation we naturally prefer to inhabit.

It is not all bad news, however, and especially because of all this talk of the End Times.

What is The Economy for?

In our political economy, we are for The Economy and it is not For Us.

It is possible to have an economy which is for us instead, but that is anathema to the one we are in and so this is probably the first time you have heard anyone say this3.

What is valuable about the crisis created by this mad system is that it cannot go on supplying cheap trash to satisfy the desires created by its belief system - for the purpose of its own profit (and at the general loss of everything else).

This means that we will have the opportunity to ask what the economy is for, and whether we should be for it, or it for us.

That is perhaps the most important reason why you should care about political economy, as you and I will get to have a say for once about whether there should be more to life than this.

MAGAGEDDON

It is a matter of time before the profound financial, military and economic shocks produced by Trump’s war for Israel will be felt in the United States.

What looks very likely is the end of the world as Americans knew it.

The impact of this war will be felt at home in the US, as unlike the other regime change wars this one is not a case of viewing explosions in some distant desert.

It is becoming clear that the war is tremendous mistake which is unintentionally delivering what MAGA promised to do - permanently resizing and rebalancing US commitments and grand strategy.

WHAT WAS MAGA ALL ABOUT?

The Greek word “apocalypse” means something like “uncovering” or “revelation”. This is what is in store for Americans, and this is what is going to be supplied in place of the global supply chain on which American dominance relied, and which its latest war has destabilised.

After months of obvious lies from the White House about the reasons for this war, its conduct, losses, and consequences, it is hard to fathom where the Big Lie began. Perhaps it began with the Noble Lie of MAGA itself.

Liberal democracy is the marketing of elite agendas to the masses through the mobilisation of popular sentiment through the use of the media.

MAGA was the sale of Trumpian populism on promises of national renewal and the restoration of American greatness. This was a sales pitch.

You cannot get elected in America by admitting your attempt at global empire has failed and you have no more money, so the show is over. Instead, an initially impressive team of strategists put together a new Realism to produce what JD Vance called “A Foreign Policy for the American Middle Class”. It promised a new era of “Realism and Restraint”.

This was a tacit acceptance the US had not won and could not win the world and admitted the regime change era had ruined America.

WHERE DID MAGA BEGIN?

One dream of making America Great lead to another. The first was world domination, the second, the consolation prize of withdrawal as renewal.

MAGA really came from the recognition that the US had bankrupted itself both financially and morally in following a grand strategy aimed at becoming and remaining the Only Global Power. This vision materialised after the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall, and was presented in a RAND paper a year later.

In this vision, the regime change wars for Israel in Libya and the Middle East made strategic and even financial sense, as did the attempt to “overextend and unbalance Russia” with the war in Ukraine.

Victory would gift the West the boon of massive mineral resources to defray the mortgage it had taken out to secure them.

In 1990 Hirschfeld noted the US “is the only remaining global military power”. One obvious point: it is not the 1990s any more. Another is the strange function of the power of belief in how we are ruled. We have been trained to distrust the obvious and to disregard reality, so it always comes as a shock to be confronted by what is, in place of what we have been led to believe ought to be there instead.

Before it dissolved the Soviet Union was the number one military power in the world. The US won its top spot by default, when the USSR disintegrated, taking practically all the experts by surprise.

Why was this such a shock? The title of Alexei Yurchak’s book shows people simply could not imagine that the whole system could end, and so they didn’t.

Even as the effects caused by the Iran war become visible, few people are willing to contemplate the end of the US-led global order.

We cannot imagine this could happen, and so we won’t. And yet.

TAKEN TO THE LIMIT

What the war in Iran has done has revealed the reality of the US in terms of the limits of its economic, military and political power. It has also revealed much of the nature of US political, religious, financial and media culture. In short, none of it is what it says it is.

Most people don’t seem to care about the shift towards the normalisation of assassination, to the routine use of atrocity propaganda and lies to permission the destruction of a civilisation for nebulous reasons.

Nor do they seem overly interested in the fact that the White House is staffed with Epstein crooks and advised by quasi-religious lunatics who see salvation promised in sparking Armageddon in a war for Israel.

What seems to move Americans most is the cost of things. The price of food, of fuel and medicine - as well as everything else - is going to rise. Meanwhile, the value of their money to buy these things is going down. The dollar has lost 87% of its purchase power since the year 2000. Almost 30% of that loss came in the last six years.

The Iran war is driving de-dollarisation, which means that countries will no longer trade oil in dollars, undermining its value for investors. This means fewer nations will be confident in buying US debt, which stands at just under $40 trillion.

This exposes the reality that the US economic model is not only based on the issuance of debt, but on confidence. If other countries no longer believe the US is solvent, the dollar dies back due to a lack of belief. If this seems alarmist, note that though a report claiming the US is insolvent (bankrupt) last month was “debunked”, it turns out that the counter-claim says America cannot in fact pay its debts.

“The real problem facing the government,” Smetters said, “is that we currently have a fiscal policy path that is itself imbalanced. Specifically, the present value of future spending far exceeds the present value of future tax revenue.

To create balance, we would either need to raise all federal income taxes, including payroll taxes, immediately and forever by 30%, or cut all federal spending, including entitlement programs, immediately and forever by 25%, or some combination.”

Much of that debt was created in financing decades of regime change wars from 2001. At least 8 trillion dollars were spent on regime change wars in the 20 years from 2001-2021. I documented something of how the West has been ruined by the regime-change regime here, in 2023.

Despite soaring debts and the routine production of disaster, the US military budget for 2027 is rising to 1.5 trillion dollars.

What has all this borrowed money bought?

ISRAEL’S STRATEGIC FAILURE

In the West, we are given Israeli talking points in place of real news about Israel. The Trump Administration, for example, has adopted the media and military strategy of the Israelis, which is to demonise your designated enemy and use that narrative to permission war crimes towards an impossible goal.

This is the end product of decades of wars in Iraq, Syria, Libya and now Iran which have been fought to secure Israeli regional dominance. The argument that all the leaders of these nations were pursuing weapons of mass destruction is not only false, it obscures the fact that the Israelis are the only nuclear armed power in the region, and that their nuclear weapons were developed against the will of the US, using plutonium and secrets stolen from the Americans.

How has this happened? Israel has built a powerful lobby in American politics, which has donated to every one of the 100 US Senators, and sponsors most members of Congress. Israel-Firsters Sheldon and Miriam Adelson gave Donald Trump and his movement over $500 million dollars between 2016 and 2025.

What has all this blood and treasure bought for Israel? If we look at the Israeli media we see that Israel is deeply divided and the view of the Israelis is that the war in Iran, as that in Lebanon, has been a failure.

This report from gives an excellent summary of how the Iran war, the Mossad-orchestrated “protests” in Iran, and the proposed Kurdish invasion did not amount to a “final…solution” but in “heartache” for the Israelis.

In place of Netanyahu’s imagined “total victory”, Israel was defeated. The impact of its genocide in Gaza and the launch of its latest wars has been fatal to US public support of Israel. Though the lobby remains in power for now, it has no future in American nor in European politics.

The Israeli brand is now toxic due to the actions of the Israelis themselves.

As the time horizon closes on US public understanding of the costs of this war, pressure builds on the White House to end it.

When the war does end, whether it does so after a further round of destruction or not, a bitter separation between the US and its so-called “Greatest Ally” will most likely follow in time.

Though one could expect repeats of the cry of betrayal from Israel, as is routinely the case when peace breaks out, this response is likely to be muted by another factor invisible in the Western media - the fact that Israel has been remade in the service of another impossible dream of domination that has now come to nothing.

The enormous cost of the regime change period to America cannot yet be calculated. It will include the end of the US military presence in the Gulf, of its international policing of sea trade routes, and very likely the end of the structure of its oil-based currency and debt system.

Americans will soon realise that the America they imagined was just a dream, as reality sharply corrects the outdated fantasy of a peerless global power which can just say things into being.

Two early indicators of the impact of reality have already arrived. One, the Chinese are now going to ignore US sanctions on Iranian oil - bringing the era of power by US economic decree to an end. Two, the economic system of the US is shown to be a sort of Ponzi scheme, as the reason the prices on the exchanges don’t correspond to reality turns out to be all hot air.

Markets versus reality

What’s the difference between the real price of a barrel of oil and its market value? Quite a lot, it seems. Why is this the case?

Many commentators have noted for weeks that statements from President Trump promising an end to the war and de-escalation have had no basis in reality. Despite there being no military solution, and no obvious way out for the US, Trump’s “Truths” have had a significant impact on the listed price of oil.

Frequently issued on Fridays, Trump’s statements have touted imaginary negotiations, unrealistic operations like the shortlived “Project Freedom” and repeatedly teased an end to the war that never arrives. Trump has talked the markets down whilst the supply crunch looms ever larger.

A report from a Singapore-based oil market analyst put it plainly:

“The market is on the cusp of a complete breakdown,” said Vandana Hari, founder of oil market analysis provider Vanda Insights.

“Price formation is no longer anchored in a pragmatic reading of the war’s trajectory or the physical realities in the Strait of Hormuz.”

What are those “physical realities”? They include the fact that the Straits were open without tolls before the US launched its war for Israel. They also include the fact that the US has now blockaded the Strait, worsening the collapse of the global supply chain of oil, its vital constituents, and of natural gas, fertiliser and significant industrial precursor chemicals.

In short, the market has lost touch with reality. It was being conducted by Trump’s tweets - and gamed by insider trading.

Corruption and market manipulation

On the 7th of May Reuters reported that billions of suspicious trades timed immediately before statements made by President Trump are being investigated.

OilPrice.com summarised the probe into these trades on the 8th of May, which were first noted on the 23rd of March.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has launched an investigation into short oil bets worth a total $7 billion, made in March and April right before statements by President Donald Trump that led to oil price drops, Reuters has reported, citing exchange data and unnamed trading sources.

In each case, trades were placed minutes before Trump issued public statements which would see the market listed price of oil fall.

The pattern continues to this day, with Trump claiming the ceasefire is holding whilst fire is exchanged between the US and Iran. In recent days, oil tankers have been hit, the Iranians fired on US destroyers, and strikes took place on the Fujairah refinery complex in the Israel-aligned United Arab Emirates.

A report from the International Business Times said

According to Iranian military officials, U.S. forces targeted two ships entering the Strait of Hormuz and carried out strikes on Iranian territory, including areas near Qeshm Island and Bandar Khamir. Tehran said it responded by attacking U.S. naval vessels east of the strait and near the port of Chabahar.

MARKETS BEGIN TO RECOGNISE REALITY

President Trump continues his method best illustrated by this meme, but the markets seem to be waking up to the reality his tweets deny.

Even with the renewed military activity, U.S. President Donald Trump later told reporters on Thursday [7th of May] that the ceasefire remained operational.

“The U.S. administration continues to oversell the prospects of a thaw, and an optimism-biased market buys into it,” Vanda Insights’ Hari said.

“Curiously, each time, the rebound is gradual and incomplete, making the head fakes at least somewhat effective.”

Despite Trump’s attempt to talk down the market, oil prices jumped to over $100 per barrel as a round of hostilities resumed on Thursday.

The control of the markets is slipping from Trump’s amusingly named “Truth” social media posts. He can no longer make people believe in something other than reality.

AND YOU MAY ASK YOURSELF, “MY GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE?”

Donald Trump certainly knows how his actions have brought about the end of the American world as we knew it. Americans don’t, but they will do soon. It is difficult to see how he survives this, having presided over the dismantling of the American Empire, and in place of the restoration of American greatness has delivered a rude awakening instead.

The regime in Iran has not changed, there is no military solution to the crisis caused by the war begun for the Israelis by Mr Trump, and of course all this was predicted and told to Mr Trump in advance.

Whether through blackmail, through misguided self belief, bribery or other means, Mr Trump took a decision to attack Iran which was rejected by all his predecessors in recent administrations.

It has been a fateful error greater than that of the US-NATO eastward expansion, which inexorably led to another failed war to collapse and conquer the resources of another so-called enemy - Russia.

These two wars have demonstrated the limits of reality to a system whose power relied on make belief.

We are living through the end of an impossible dream, which was sold to us so completely as to make anything other than its realisation unthinkable.

This will in time end the Presidency of Donald Trump. It will bookend the bankrupting regime change era and take the dream of US global dominance and leadership with it. What has also been exposed is that our economic system appears to be a scam run for the benefit of the elite, who see in the ruinous wars which magnified its debts an opportunity for personal enrichment.

Finally, the manufacture of belief to permission political action seems to be less effective every day, as the awful reality produced by these actions is more convincing to voters and the markets they watch than the upbeat trans-sanity radiating from the current regime.

The political technique of the 20th century also appears to be entering its season finale. The most dangerous thing of all to machine politicians is when people begin to take an interest in politics. Given the state we are in, most people have no choice these days. The demands political leaders will face will no longer be made by populations mesmerised by impossible dreams and secured by a system which makes belief in itself through everything it sells.

The future politics will be about reality, not fantasy, and the future we face will be strictly concerned with the provision of needs. MAGA has delivered on the resizing and rebalancing of US commitments. It could have cut its cloth to reality in a way which convinced Americans they were undergoing a national renewal.

Instead, the final regime change war launched for Israel has pulled back the curtain on the whole show, to the profound embarrasment of audience and actors alike. Mr Trump can bark a great carnival, but the people will no longer entertain circuses when they want for bread.

TRUMP AND IRAN: THE NOBLE LIE?

Reality is about to correct the narrative sharply, as the supply chain begins to supply a lack of food, fuel and fertiliser to the world.

Mr Trump has said he has won the war, and that Iran is collapsing. In fact, the US has lost the war and its empire too. The global supply chain is collapsing as a result. This will all become obvious soon, and everyone including Americans will come to dislike Mr Trump intensely.

The WMDs were made up (we have seen this movie before), the Iranians demonised (ditto), and the Regime did not Change. In fact, the Regime that will change is ours, I believe, and probably that of Mr Trump too.

Regime change at home has already begun.

Israeli political, financial and religious culture has supplanted that of the American ruling elite. With the adoption of their barbaric military strategy and shameless propaganda technique, the US Regime has become identical in many ways with that of Israel. Both states are in a sorry state, both telling lies about the awful reality their actions have created, both are in a crisis they refuse to recognise, and which is in both cases most likely to get worse.

World and US public opinion has sharply turned against Israel (due to its actions) and it is never going to recover, meaning strong ties to the Ally that Wrecked Everything are not a likely votewinner.

The war has caused far more problems than either of its author nations can solve.

Perhaps the least worst option for all concerned is for Mr Trump to simply pretend he has won, as his diehard supporters are likely to believe this. You could call this a Noble Lie, as though it is a lie it is far less bad than a return to mass destruction, which is apparently being demanded by Mrs Adelson and her talking money, which has managed to talk Mr Trump into a lot of things in the past.

The effects of this war on the world are not yet recognised, but they will be, and it is clear they will be profound. The world as we thought we knew it is gone, and this moment of media management is a sort of irrational interregnum between action and consequence. Our political class and the system they built and maintain are not used to facing any consequences for anything, and so they don’t. Yet this is not another Hollywood war - a spectacle of explosions in some desert abroad having little meaning to the domesticated grazers at home.

This war changes the game. It may very well end it altogether. We shall see what comes next, of course, with precedent suggesting the Israelis will have their way to another round of ruin. Yet the world is aware now of how devastating any more destruction in the region would be to them, and so there is a consensus - formerly forbidden - of outrage at the actions of the Israelis which already looks like having isolated the US with its last remaining “ally”.

COST CUTTERS

Of course, MAGA was always about selling the closing down of the US Empire as a win, because the point of it was to dominate the globe and it failed. It left the US bankrupt, largely due to the decades of “regime change” wars it fought to destroy nations targeted by Mr Netanyahu in 1979 and again in 2002, for example.

This is why we hear of the US “threaten” to withdraw its troops from Germany, or to leave NATO altogether. The US is an occupying army in Europe. It is due to its 74 year CIA operation that there is a war between Ukraine and Russia. You may not know that in 1987 Antony Blinken wrote a book called “Ally Versus Ally: America, Europe, and the Siberian Pipeline Crisis”.

It said the US must destroy Russian gas supplies if America is going to remain the dominant power in Europe. How remarkable that Europe’s only cheap longterm gas supply was blown up whilst Mr Blinken was the chief diplomat of the USA.

The cost we have borne in Britain and in Europe is enormous. The US government is now saying we must bear the burden ourselves for our defence. Well, our “defence” has cost us dearly. The US leaves us with one war on our borders and another on Israel’s which both destroy our energy supplies.

This is one dimension of the cost/benefit analysis of the mayfly cult of MAGA, which was cooked up to sell resizing as revitalisation. It has delivered neither, and is obviously just a meme these days. The sort which makes you cringe.

HOMOSEXUAL ARSONIST HOOHAH

Life is full of mysterious mysteries. One of many shrouding the British Prime Minister is why three Ukrainian homosexualists tried to set his houses and car on fire.

Police arrested five men initially but only three remain, who are all “rent boys” - prostitutes of the Larry Grayson type. Their trial is going on right now.

The mystery here is why so little is made of this in Britain. Starmer, affectionately known as “Keith” by his adoring public, also mysteriously went to live with the homosexualist “Lord” Alli during the lockdown regime.

Starmer mocked up a room in the Indo-Trinidadian-Guyanese billionaire’s penthouse flat to look like one in his own house, so that viewers would never imagine he was shacked up with a foreign chutney ferret and would instead presume he was going insane at home like everyone else.

He is gay, and a Lord who began his rise to prominence in the world of television. British entertainment has long been the playground of gaylords, as we can see, and the reduction of the British State to a sordid reality tv show is nearing completion.

Starmer is also beset by the curse of Mandelson. Why did Keith appoint the known Friend of Epstein (and the Rothschilds who Epstein worked for) as US Ambassador? This is a matter of Deep Concern in the media.

I explained why Keith did that here, months ago.

I think the Epstein Files revealed we are ruled by a sort of international crime syndicate, which is hard to deny when you see who is in them, and the sort of roles they played (and play) in the US and British governments.

If you prefer not to read it, I think the reason Keith sent Mandy to Washington is obvious when you think about it. No one wanted the Epstein network to be revealed, and so Keith most likely sent Mandelson to shut down the only investigation we were conducting into it - which was in our US Embassy.

Perhaps nothing indicates the degree of ignorance supplied by modern times as the fact that it came as a shock that Mandelson - known for decades as “The Prince of Darkness” - turned out to be a bit of a baddie.

LABOUR PAINS

The Labour Party under Starmer has faithfully continued to carry out its mandate, which is to destroy Britain regardless of the piffle it promised to its paltry percentage of voters.

Elected with the lowest vote share of any postwar government, it has proceeded to do away with our hereditary Lords and of course has replaced them with…

Well.

The Britain created by the machine politicians of the last three decades is impossible to defend, and so both Labour and the Tories face disaster in next weeks’ local elections.

Labour is expected to lose around 2000 seats, the Tories maybe 750.

The big winner looks certain to be Reform, led by Nigel Farage, trailed by the insurgent Green Party, which is led by a Jewish snaggletooth who used to hypnotise women to make their breasts get bigger.

I do apologise for that observation. Sadly. it will not be the last regrettable intrusion of trans-sanity into this one-star review of our so-called reality.

NIGEL MIRAGE

Reform has become known as “Conform” for its combination of Conservative refugees and the refusal to reverse the influx of those identifying as such.

Nigel Farage is a mirage in a desert. He is imagined as all things we lack in this desolation, and the more we see of him the less we believe in him.

In fact, he is none of them. He is an idea in the hopeful mind of a relief and a change from a system gone mad, but sadly he is wedded to some of the most toxic networks and notions of national suicide.

Mr Farage and his front line are all zelotic Israel supporters, and this too is a losing move in a world which is rapidly realigning against the awful reality produced by Free Market Zionism and Gay Race Bolshevism.

Reform look to get a fillip by virtue of not being the other parties, but their vice in being rather more of the same but in Boomer Teal ties is likely to see their vote share continue to shrink as Britain approaches the General Election of 2029.

The worst thing that can happen to Farage is that he wins a lot of councils and makes them all look like the one his party managed into “a year of chaos” here.

Reform are “trans-sane”. They believe if you dress up and talk like an Englishman you become one. This is the same as a female impersonator claiming to be a woman. This too was a great English tradition, but stopped being one when laughing at ridiculous claims became a crime.

If we do not reverse mass migration we are finished.

Will Reform do this? No.

This makes Reform a danger, not deliverance.

Their “values” are those of the impostor culture, which I described around two years ago, here.

In it, I explained what the regime which rules us is doing, and why sane critics of its antics feel so insane when they decribe it accurately:

Destruction is progress and so on.

Reality is correcting the limitless fantasies of our politics and economics of destruction. I think the system created to replace everything with itself has failed, and its global ambitions are ended.

What comes next? Interesting times. People will become very interested in real things when they realise, as they are begining to do so now, that the old regime has subtracted almost all of them from their lives.

The New Religion

One ambition of the internationalists who created our “liberal democracy” was the creation of a sort of World Religion.

Pre-revolutionary Popes warned about this. It is not as wacky an idea as you think. Matthew Arnold suggested something like this in the 1860s, and in the 1930s John Dewey wrote “A Common Faith” to promote the same.

The New Religion in the West is basically the elevation of the political beliefs of Liberals to the status of religion. Consider what has happened to the Anglicans.

Consider that the Anglicans have now happened in the Vatican.

Here is an alleged woman who is got up like an Archbishop. This is Sarah Mulally, the so-called Archbishop of Canterbury, which is the church what Thomas A Becket was martyred in, and which belongs to the Catholics of course.

Here she is with Nathalie Becquart, who is destroying the Catholic religion as happily as her fellow Pantsuiters are destroying Europe.

Becquart is the architect of the New Religion of Synodality, whose Final Phase document was presented to the transbishop at the Vatican. Both identify as Christians whilst promoting the heretical cult of national suicide that is the Liberal State Religion. Rainbow flags, open borders, Net Zero, the whole shebang.

This is a Cult of Man, of course, which comes from the belief we cannot know anything outside of ourselves, including God, but have something like an “appetite” for religion which must be satisified. By fright-wigged women, it would appear, preaching a Religion of Nice.

Yet it is not just those who identify as women who are up to this sort of No Good.

There is no hiding the fact anymore that the Vatican and its Ecumenical Friends seem to no more believe in God than Mulally resembles a priest.

This is a pantomime, like everything else, with costumed frauds fronting a sordid business of the mass destruction of our civilisation.

What is happening here is that two shocking looking types are smiling about the replacement of the worship of Christ with the limited fantasies of Man.

And woman, of course, if what we see here is indeed a woman and not some Oxford University lecturer in a horse-hair Lego wig.

I apologise for this harrowing image, but here is a face for our times.

I think this madness is coming to an end, however, as the omnicrisis this machine has produced is beyond its power to control. If you like, the train with no brakes has caromed off the rails.

THE END OF THE 20TH CENTURY

The liberal-global system was created at the beginning of the 20th century, which is now coming to an end. It can be understood as a permanent revolution to replace everything that was. Why - and with what?

This system isn’t really about “progress” or liberty or even democracy. Its policies, mass produced memes of current things and crazy cults of identity and environment are all made up to promote the founding aim, which was to replace the world we had with a Standard Reality, everywhere.

A borderless bazaar, populated by mutual strangers, all hunting the same fool’s bargains on credit.

It’s an economic system with a marketing campaign. As long as people believe in the advertisements, it sells well. Now they don’t, because what they’ve been told is plainly not what they’ve been sold.

This, together with the global crisis produced by Israel’s latest regime change war, is driving the disintegration of the system we were all led to believe would go on forever. Until it is no more. That time is coming soon, and the world of tomorrow will be different in many ways from that of all our yesterdays.

Introduction: Fake New World

The world we believed in was fake. It had a fake economy, fake elections, fake values and fake mission statements.

The institutions don’t do what their name says. Quite often, they do the opposite. Our money isn’t real and the things we do to get it can be as valueless as what we get in return for our time.

Voting doesn’t change the economy, which apart from monetising addictions amounts to a war economy. What war? All of them, including the one going on at home, to destroy your civilisation.

Our leaders serve the Economic Zone and not the nation, and we are largely ruled by a sort of cartel that makes a lot of money out of making everything worse. This is helped along the way by elevating political beliefs to the status of religious dogma, which is what most of our religious leaders are doing too.

We live in a Fake New World which is the product of a project to standardise the globe.

Happily, I do not think this is working. In fact, I think it is finished, as no one really believes in it any more. Here I explain why I think this and what I think will come next.

Summary

As we begin to realise the poverty of our political economy, we understand that our spiritual, moral, financial and ideological bankruptcy are the product of the way we have been ruled. The question remains - what for?

We are living through the end of this exhausted machine, whose purpose was to replace our civilisation with itself.

Now we must remember what we have almost totally forgotten, that we might restore our way of life and rescue ourselves from barbarism.

What is meant by “civilisation”?

Civilisation can be understood as the institution of balance in human affairs, established by vigor, made permanent by belief and secured by endeavour.

Western civilisation today is submerged beneath two pillars of political unwisdom.

The one presents an image of the masculine defence of the West through the exercise of destructive military power, the other a feminine reception of all influences at home other than those of the home nation.

You can see the one as positive in the sense of an active force, the other as a passive one, but both are equally deadly to what remains of civilised life in the West.

At State level and above, our politics is rather like a broken family. Father and mother are estranged from one another, and the children are bereft.

We, the children of these factions, are speechless in our grief as we lack the terms to describe our parents’ separation.

They were never married in the first place, of course, each seeking liberation from the other in the pursuit of their own supremacy. This is of course how families break down.

There is no sense that can be made to make sense of being together, and so there is no sense in staying together. Each to his or her own, and all for themselves.

As Werner Herzog said, Jede fur sich und Gott gegen Alle. More about him, and what that means later. First, the idea of life as music or cacophony.

Harmony and discord

Civilisation is the seeking of harmony in man’s energies, and this harmony is best secured with the recognition of basic difference and its reconciliation.

Our systems are all rights and no duties, of course, and rapacity without restraint has replaced any sense of the mutuality of labour and capital.

There is no dignity in our system, which equalises us all in according to utility.

To become like components in a machine is to lose sight of who and what we essentially are. Meaning becomes a dispute. And so we have discord. We become like notes without a melody, and life a contest of the loudest.

THE COLLAPSING SUPPLY CHAIN OF MEANING

There is always a State Religion, whether it has anything to do with God or not.

Today, the religions of State are exclusively masculine or feminine in principle. The political religions of Judaism, of American Protestantism, of Islamism are largely manly affairs with female helpmeets.

The same is true of the Liberal State Religion but in reverse. A feminised culture deprived of its roots, just as the masculine is in the deracinated male cult of market worship Zionism.

Kenneth Clark described the cults of Islam, Judaism, and “Nothern Protestants” as unbalanced affairs lacking the harmonising female principle, which of course is found in the foundations of European civilisation through the Catholic religion1.

Though he argued it was monasticism and the scholastic, diplomatic and economic power of “Ecclesia” which formed the idea of Europe to itself, he also added that this formula of balance is essential and not optional to what might be called the soul of our civilisation.

Entering the Exit

The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser is a remarkable film which gives us the title above, “Each for himself and God against all”2.

This is the point of view of isolated Man.. It is a film about a real man called Kaspar Hauser, who was discovered in 1828. He had spent his entire life in a cellar until he was found in it at the age of 17. Having never been outside, he could not recognise perspective. He could speak, but only one sentence which he obviously did not understand.

He had been a prisoner in a cellar all his life, and when he exited his tiny world he was a prisoner in himself as a result.

Did it free him to learn the ways of other men?

Hauser died in 1833 at the age of 21, having suffered a fatal wound in the second, and this time successful, attempt on his life.

He was suspected to be a fraud, but perhaps it was what he reminded men about themselves that they found unbearable about him. The truth is often unforgivable, especially when it concerns us, and the limits we refuse to acknowledge about ourselves.

The film begins with a sort of parable. A blind berber is leading a camel train across the desert. He tastes the sand, and tells the company that the mountains they see before them are an illusion.

Liberation as Exile

In the Classical world exile was seen as a worse punishment than death.

Modern Western Man exists in a state of domesticated exile. He is a stranger at home, to the strangers in his homeland, a stranger to himself and to the nature of reality and being.

The technique by which man is managed has liberated him into himself. His world has shrunk to all he can conjure as to what he wants, who he thinks himself to be, and these thoughts are supplied to him in the same way as all the other consumer choices which consume him.

He has been tempted by promises of freedom into this confinement, into a condition of all for one and none for all.

This Modern Man imagines himself the axis of the world and the engine of all its meaning, replacing the omphalos (or navel) believed by the Greeks to be the centre point on earth at which temporal power met the divine3.

It is not into this he gazes to comprehend himself and the purpose of his life, but into his own navel, and now his belly can no longer be filled with what sates his insatiable desires he finds himself incapable of comprehending the true perspectives of reality.

Blinking into the Light

The world which is intruding on the false reality of the media age is one which seems strange and unfamiliar to men shaped in cellars of illusion. This is because we have been schooled to believe that the never-never land we inhabited would go on forever. Well now it isn’t, and all its explanations are expiring in its moment of exhaustion.

The cell we inhabited was not the Dark Age of Christian belief, but the superstitions of a world illuminated by the artificial light of technology which sought to replace it.

The great fatal flaw of the modern mind was to imagine its limits as their absence. The wisest products of this time are incapable of seeing beyond their belief system, as they believe it is perfect, and so have never had any reason to try to do so.

Spellbound by what powerful tricks the machinery of technique permit, dazzled by endless data points, modern man blinks into the light and cannot tell what is near or far, present or past, and the languages he hears around him are merely a disturbing babble. He is lost. He no longer knows what he is, nor what he is for.

The screen cannot compass what he sees about him, and it cannot explain what is stirring within him. Beneath the fear of insufficiency of things and the dissolution of the plastic meanings he has been supplied to rely on, there is the terrible appetite for purpose.

What was the point, he asks himself, and why am I here at all?

It is not God who is against Man, it is Man who made war on all that was, the better to elevate himself4. Today we realise our limits, that we cannot rise beyond them, and that if we mistake them and ourselves for everything we find in time we are terribly mistaken.

The nature of Man, being part of the nature of things, is changeless. His machinations permit distractions, as does the evanescent promise of satisfaction in all things made possible by the supply and demand of desire.

What Will Become of Us?

The civilisational view of mankind can be viewed as the process over time of forgetting and remembering.

We live in a time when we are all beginning to realise that a great subtraction has taken place whilst we were all otherwise entertained. The music has not stopped, however. Soon we will understand that we are not living through the end of everything, but of something which sought to replace it with itself.

We have been formed by the experiment of the long 20th cenutry, a sort of intermission of civilisation. This is not civilisation’s end, but the beginning of the return of reality and its comprehension to the understanding of our lives.

This inspires men to defend themselves from barbarism. It is time to remember who we are, because it is this memory or its absence which will determine what becomes of us. We are not what we have been told we are. The personality crisis of Western politics is terminal, and it sold us a series of masks, or personae, as if we were all characters in some show.

Yet life is not a masquerade, and it will go on though the old performance will not. The questions of who we are and what we are for - and against - will determine whether what comes next is a restoration or a rabble among the ruins.

Introduction: The State We Are In

The politics we have is machine politics. This machine is breaking down. It is fuelled by public opinion, which is processed and packaged into political energy by the mass manufacture of belief in the agenda of the ruling elite.

Populism is not a politics. It is a spasm of rejection of the agenda of the social revolution undertaken in our homelands despite election cycles.

The populism we have seen is not a new economics. It is a counter-agenda, using the same technique of power, to promote the interests of a different ruling faction.

These factions are falsely described by themselves and by ourselves. They are not “left” or “right”. They are not for you. They are for them.

A political economy for human flourishing and the Common Good is possible. This is the moment, this is the question, this is the answer.

This is how we got here.

The Machine is Breaking Down

Why is the machine breaking down? The “right-populist” wave in America has broken. It has reduced to the exercise of hard State power in service of a foreign nation, whose power is secured by influence including bribery, assassination and blackmail. Its culture, that of Zionist Israel, is now the financial and media and military and religious culture of the ruling elite in America.

JD Vance, the Great White Whale of the Republicans, gave his last speech to an almost empty stadium. His livestream got 160 viewers. Trump’s numbers are underwater and so is his movement. The same is true of American support for Israel. This changes the game for the whole international network of this faction of political power and technique.

None of these shipwrecks are coming back up. If you like, you can summarise the last century as the monetisation through debt of the creation of national and international crises, whose business became the partial basis of our global economy as the technique of internationalisation refined to include it after September 11th, 2001.

The combination of social and demographic revolution at home and the wars abroad has become a model of management. It has managed itself into a crisis it cannot escape. This is becoming obvious to all but the most determined fanatics, whether hired or inspired in their dedication to the monetised death machine.

Few people really understand how central to political power is the power to produce belief. We are all beginning to realise this now.

The power of the regime media to contain and refashion public opinion has now been exceeded by the persuasion of reality. This is the end of the political technique of the long 20th century, and all it made us believe in.

The world crisis sparked by Israel’s war on Iran has begun to hit home.

The collision of reality with the narratives supplied by the Trump administration is reshaping global power. The pause in the war has revealed that the shock to the global system may be permanent.

Part One: Losing an Argument with Reality

“The truth does not matter anymore”.

Power is always part performance. Military power is threat plus capability. Political power is the power of belief in the promises you make.

The US has issued many threats but is incapable of carrying any out apart from the most significant one: the total destruction of Iranian civilisation.

Mr Trump has this power but he does not have any other it seems. This is dangerous, as this is precisely the power the Israelis seek to use.

Trump’s political (domestic) and military (foreign) decisions are effectively taken from the Israeli playbook, and the culture of the US from the top down has changed accordingly.

The promises of security and prosperity, to make America Great Again, cannot be carried out now. Neither can the promised “regime change” in Iran, nor even a military victory in the region.

The US has lost its diplomatic and military position in the Middle East, can no longer guarantee the passage of seaborne world trade, and has broken its long standing “alliance” (which was dominance) with Europe and the Anglosphere.

To the literally minded Mr Trump has gone bonkers. He has been consumed by sin in fact, which is destructive to a man in every state in life.

He has been impelled into the creation of mass destruction by pride, vanity, vainglory, greed and dreams of adulation, and tempted into this by appeals to his appetite for all the above. The war is evil, it is doing evil to the world, and Mr Trump and his America are rightfully despised for what they have said and done to us all.

The US has lost the war and cannot admit it as this would be devastating to Americans generally and Trump in particular.

This will inevitably be obvious anyway in a matter of time. So far, a performance in the media has contained this impression, which is simply “flooding the zone with shit”, as advised by Steve Bannon a decade ago, and as adopted openly by Netanyahu’s media chief last week.

Eli Hazan, the latest director of Netanyahu’s media ‘poison machine’ says:

“The truth does not matter any more. The facts do not matter anymore”.

Political power in the US and Israel is following this formula. Its power is in contest with the truth, with the facts, with reality itself. This is vital to understanding the state the world is in, and how we get out of it.

Hazan continues:

“I fabricate fake news as a response to them”

He explained “I wasn’t like this. Only the truth guided me.”

So what changed him?

“I came to the conclusion that we need to be Trump”.

Hazan’s statement is significant beyond Israel, whose stated policy is to “police the planet” through its “eighth front” of war: via media control, censuring critics as antisemitic, and corrupting the picture of reality received by the global public.

This shows the true unifying principle of power between the putatively Christian United States and the secular, now religious anti-Christian Zionism which rules Israeli and now American political, military and media culture.

It will say anything it must to get what it wants. It is an argument with reality, just as liberal utopianism is an argument with reality. It replaces facts with falsehoods, stultifying the population into compliance with evil. This works until it doesn’t, which is when it can’t anymore, and that is now.

The facts do in fact matter and cannot be contained by lies. This happens when the conditions produced by your actions exceed your power to persuade people they do not inhabit them, when in fact they do so.

This is the same crisis faced by the nightmare of the competing faction of Western power, namely “liberal globalism”, and it is why they are both doomed regardless of the outcome of this war.
