I have gone on my holidays to Ireland and I thought to do some posts on things I have read, and am reading, which help explain the state we are in today.

This repost about the secular religion of liberalism and the remedy to this ruinous idolatry is accompanied with a new video I made today about why I think you should read TS Eliot.

I talk about this extract to show you why it is important to understand what “humanism” is, and what it means to live under a cult of liberal idolatry.

MODERN LIFE - A TRAGEDY OF ERRORS?

The crisis of our times is not causeless, the chaos we inhabit is no mystery, and there is a remedy to the state of emergency we inhabit in its every aspect.

This is the lesson of the luminous wisdom of the Catholic Church, whose power to restore our civilisation will further be explored in this and the following posts.

This post is an introduction to the errors which make up the Liberal State Religion.

In it, I will show you some of the books and encyclicals you can examine to better understand the state we are in today - and how we can best get out of it.

We explore some major ideas as my aim is to equip the reader with the solution to the problem of the replacement of our Christian civilisation with a counterfeit culture.

“Authority is nothing else but numbers and the sum total of material forces” -

Maxima Quodem - Pope Pius IX

This is one of the errors of the modern world as stated by Blessed Pope Pius IX in his 1862 allocution, Maxima Quodem.

Two years later, Blessed Pope Pius IX would publish his 1864 “Syllabus of Errors” - as an appendix to his encyclical Quanta Cura.

The Syllabus Errorum as it is titled in Latin also contained the above line about power.

Stated with deceptive simplicity, this error when examined unfolds the conflict between the natural law defended by the Church - and the reduction of all meaning to the limits and desires of Man under the banner of “progress”.

This post also presents a brief history of the subtraction of Christ from Christendom, and His replacement with the political beliefs of liberalism.

Today, the Vatican is seeking to transform the Church into a democratic liberal entity by way of the synodal path.

This is to refashion the Church in the image of Man’s institutions - patterned on the European Union and the United Nations - so that the Church itself will resemble a liberal democracy.

THE LIBERAL PROJECT

As I have explained in my Brief History of Liberal Democracy, this system is merely presented as one offering universal empowerment.

In reality it is the realisation of Isaiah Berlin’s second type of liberal government: the rule by an elite which decides what the ruled shall believe and desire through the manufacture of consent.

Of course, liberal democracy presents its authority as legitimised by majority opinion. In reality, public opinion is made by the ruling elite, in a soft despotism whose power is secured by the making and marketing of belief.

This is how the sacred majority of democratic rule is contrived, and its legitimacy - claimed by the “sum of numbers” - is a falsehood.

The power of liberal democracy is secured in fact by the “sum total of material forces” as explained by Pope Pius IX. These forces are the control of positions of power, of patronage, partnership with NGOs and sinecures - and of course in the domination of media messaging.

I attempt here to explain a wider context showing how we came to have a modern Vatican which preaches the political religion of climate, migration, feminism and the rainbow flag.

The broader liberal current has resolved into a project, political and religious, to replace everything with itself in Church as in State, in imagination as in reality.

It is the replacement of reality with a tragedy of errors. This series will show these errors, and how they are to be corrected.

THE LIBERAL CURRENT IN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY

The Syllabus of 1864 is a list of statements taken to be true by the enemies of the Church, and warns of the modernising current of liberalism infecting Church and State.

Shortly afterwards, a sort of manifesto for the promotion of these errors would be published by a man called Matthew Arnold.

Arnold foresaw the increasing liberalisation of Christendom - and like the great Popes Pius IX, Leo XIII, and Pius X, recognised that the predictable replacement of largely Catholic monarchies with liberal democracy in Europe would lead to chaos.

In his essays of 1867-8, Arnold laid out the thesis that would be published in his 1869 book Culture and Anarchy.

In it, he argued that the new liberal democratic world must be unified by culture - instead of Christ.

TS ELIOT ON CULTURE VERSUS CHRIST

I will also make occasional mention of the work of TS Eliot, whose conversion to Anglo-Catholicism saw him produce some remarkable contributions to the history of the liberal idea and its impact on our civilisation.

In his Notes Towards the Definition of Culture Eliot pointed out that one thing simply cannot replace another - as it is of course a different thing we are to accept as the same.

This sort of observation is typical of wisdom. It appears at face value to be superficial, but once examined and applied reveals a profound insight into the concepts by which our modern culture is contrived.

What binds our modern culture - and within which limitations?

Eliot was referring to Matthew Arnold’s notion that “culture” can be supplied in place of Christ, to provide cohesion against the possibility of a democratised chaos.

His remark is perhaps even more profound when we consider the presentation of the New Religion as a fitting replacement for the True Religion.

What is lost is Christ, what remains is simply the designs of men who think it in our best interests to dispose of Him, and preach an ecumenical and Godless humanism in His stead.

FEEDING THE FLOCK - PASCENDI OF POPE PIUS X

In this introduction I aimed to explain how the crisis of our times developed, tracing its advancement from the late 19th century to the predicament we inhabit.

No sickness can be cured without an accurate diagnosis.

With the 1864 Syllabus of Errors we see a list of falsehoods asserted as truth. These are the green shoots of the modern evils we call the new normal today, springing from the soil of the revolutionary Enlightenment.

Over forty years later, in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, we find in the 1907 encyclical of Pope St Pius X a comprehensive treatment of modernism - its errors, their causes - and the remedies provided by the wisdom of the Church.

With the background of the liberal current in mind I will move in the next posts to a treatment of Pascendi, showing how its warnings came alongside the formation of the liberal democratic project.

This great encyclical is intimidating in its volume and in its detail. Those who hear of it are often put off by its complexity. For this reason I will use the Catechism of Modernism of Fr. Lemius.

This book presents Pascendi as a series of questions, posed on behalf of the reader, with the answers supplied by the words of Pope St Pius X. It makes of this somehwat daunting encyclical a conversation between the reader and the treasure house of wisdom found in the Catholic description of reality.

It is absorbing in every sentence. At times, something greater moves into sight than the particular subject of each passage. For me, one example of this is the profound lesson of the difference between civilisation and culture, which is marked by the absence or presence of God in the boundaries and limitations which mark our lives.

The liberal democratic model produced the political religion of liberalism, a series of tragic errors which have resolved into the catastrophe we are compelled to call our culture today.

The liberation it promised was the binding of man and the meaning of his life to the limitations of the liberal idea.

There is another way to live. There is a better way. The Catechism of Modernism reveals the design of the modern trap, and the way out.

As I examine the diagnosis and remedy presented in Pascendi, we will walk together down a path our culture did not take, and see why in so doing we have lost almost everything.

Almost. And not forever.

In this fourth post on Phone Age Insanity I will briefly introduce two ideas about social reality which will help you understand why we seem to live parallel lives with so many of our people.

These ideas are of Emic and Etic Reality.

Emic reality is the perception of reality from inside a cultural system.

Etic reality is the view of that system from the outside.

I will say a few things about these ideas to show you how they might be useful when you apply them to your own understanding of the social reality you inhabit.

Briefly, the political economy which produces our insane belief system is demonstrably insane when viewed from outside its bubble, and increasingly so from within it, too.

These concepts help you to understand how we came to inhabit a manufactured culture which presents civilisational suicide as a normal and healthy agenda.

They may help you or people you know to detransition from this destructive mass belief system before it is too late for you, or for all of us, to do so.

Origins of the terms

Emic and etic come from phonemic and phonetic. They describe a particular or insider view against the general or outsider view.

A phoneme is a part of a word that has a specific meaning in a given language. Like “Anti-” or “pro-” for example.

Phonetic sounds are seen as universal. The “t” sound, or the “sh” sound, for example.

These terms were used by the linguist Kenneth Pike from 1954. He was a Presbyterian Christian, and believed that truth was personally found in Christ.

He thought reality was unitary when understood as God’s creation, and presented the emic and etic views of cultural behaviour as necessary to providing a complete understanding.

Pike showed an apparently discordant world was in fact coherent when correctly understood, being ordered by God and comprehended by the recognition of the unity of human experience, expression and existence this implies.

Some said this distinction was between subjective and objective views of reality.

I think it more helpful at first to stick with the basic idea that a cultural system is not visible to those inside it in the same way as it is to those outside it.

Pike’s point is that you can’t understand what a culture is with only one view. You must look at it from the inside and from the outside to get the full picture.

If you do this to the culture you inhabit you may understand it more fully.

Uses of these points of view

The terms were popularised in the 1950s and 1960s as liberal anthropoligists struggled to reconcile their discoveries of native cultures with the norms of the West.

Liberals reject Christ and do not recognise that the nature of Man, of being and reality, is changeless. For liberals objectivity is problematic. A doctrine of universal equality means there can be only perspectives instead. This is why our mass culture says there is no objective truth, morality or reality.

If you state some cultures are objectively inferior morally and spiritually, intellectually and culturally and so on, you will destroy your career and no one will publish your work. This is one custom of the Liberal tribe.

Customs of the Liberal Tribe

The customs of the Liberal tribe dictate a preference for the emic approach over the etic. The inside view of the individual is paramount, giving rise to a cultural norm of trans-sanity.

This is why it is socially acceptable today for a man to pretend he is a woman or an African to pretend he is an Irishman. No wider reference is given other than the personally view.

The emic has been internalised to the total exclusion of the etic: there are no general rules, there is no objective reality - only what is believed inside the believer and their belief system.

Other cultures will be presented without context from within their own belief systems and fetishised. The resulting fetish can be used as a weapon against Western civilisation and its Christian moral and cultural norms.

This is an unbalanced approach as it discards the coherence of Pike’s recommended partnership of combined insider and outsider views. Insider views absent outside context offer a limited if fascinating glimpse of another world. The absence of etic context permits fantasy to fill the gap, making any culture treated in this way a marvellous spectacle whose appeal is magnified by the viewer’s imagination and desire.

The cultural power of the emic point of view

What we accept as settled social and cultural research is often constrained by this type of emic reality framing. This style of cultural production presents a partially sighted view as perfectly free of prejudice.

The “wisdom” created by this locked machine will only allow input and output which align with its aims. Here is one example from around a century ago.

Mead’s 1928 book Coming of Age in Samoa: A Psychological Study of Primitive Youth for Western Civilisation was an early example of a uniquely emic perspectivism. This meant Mead tried to show the sexual practices of the Samoans from their cultural point of view, arguing the “storm and stress” of adolescence in Western girls was a product of sexual repression.

If our girls were are sexually “liberated” as those of the Samoans their youth and young adulthood would be happier. The idea continues that of Freud and Reich et al, who diagonosed normal sexual morality as a disease to be cured by “sexual freedom”. When you consider how hypersexualisation and extreme sexualities are presented as liberating today, you can also see how this notion has been rolled into the technique which produces our political and social reality.

Mead’s work was one example of using a purely emic view to present our culture as ignorant and sick, and the so-called more primitive culture of the Samoans as wise, enlightened and healthy. All we had to do to get better was to abandon the moral norms inherited from Christianity.

This too is an element of the technique which rules us. It is the inversion of reality. What is less is presented as more, what is worse - better. Backwards is forwards, vice is virtue and so on.

If Mead’s view was balanced with an etic view it would be better understood. This means, if Mead’s motivated reading of Samoan culture was presented alongside the ideas and beliefs of Mead’s own “tribe” we would have a fuller picture of reality, which would show the motives behind the presentation of Christian morality and norms as bad - and their destruction a panacea.

The broader view of the tribal beliefs of the liberal progressives is that they align with the goal of global standardisation. This is one etic view which helps you explain seemingly disconnected processes. If they destroy nations, peoples, your religion, history, culture and understanding of reality, this all helps to dissolve everyone and everything into a single global system.

What is the use of “Emic” and “Etic”?

The emic and etic framing of reality is most useful when applied to our own mass culture, which has been manufactured to make us all believe in the Liberal Belief System (L-B.S.)

When we look at our mass culture from the outsider perspective it looks very different from the view it presents to we who have grown up inside it.

In fact, it looks as insane as it is in reality. It does not appear insane if your entire life is shaped and submerged in the pseudo reality of a mass culture produced with advanced communications technology. All you have to do is step out of the display and look at it as if you were a visitor from elsewhere.

That “elsewhere” could be a place, a time, or a completely different point of view.

Three outsider views

There are "etic” or outsider views we can adopt to do this.

One is to consider how we look to peoples and cultures outside the “Western Bubble”.

To Western Liberal Believers it is a shock to be reminded that peoples exist in tribes, and tribes have particular customs. This is obvious to anyone who has not been schooled to be incapable of recognising it.

This means the Western Liberal eye is an evil eye - its gaze is limited by the designation of totem and tabu. You are not permitted to see reality. You are permitted to see totems. A totem is a cult symbol of something to be worshipped.

To people who have not been indoctrinated by Liberal doctrine human difference is a basic fact of reality and the assertion of the opposite ridiculous.

Another is to consider viewpoints of culture and indeed of liberalism itself from outside the bubble of liberal cultural production.

This is to study writers and ideas which supply other ways of seeing the world, and the social reality engineered by the liberal system.

I would suggest you read “Liberalism is A Sin” or some of the works of Joseph de Maistre. For a conceptual treatment of why liberalism collapses in insoluble paradox, you could look at “Why Liberalism Failed” by Patrick Deneen.

To my mind, the best treatment of the Liberal idea in its revolutionary and counter-sane dimension is presented in the Catholic Social Teaching of Leo XIII.

Finally, you can look at the culture produced to make us all believe in the liberal international system from the point of view of the civilisational timescale.

Consider whether the worship of false idols such as the progress of the progressives, universal human equality and the replacement of the nature of reality with the power of make belief creates a system which will remain stable over centuries.

This is to think of a system in terms of the civilisational timescale.

Will the liberal belief system guarantee the survival of our civilisation over time?

Coherence and its contradiction

Viewed from the inside our mass culture no longer makes sense. It is a litany of contradictions of reality, a cacophony of countersanities.

From the outside it is completely incoherent. It does not match the world, it refuses to recognise reality, it acts as if reality can be remade in its own image, it is increasingly irrelevant to anyone outside its shrinking sphere of influence.

This is an economic and political system whose ideological beliefs have translated into the production of incoherence.

If you want to live an orderly, meaningful and valuable life a coherent view of being and reality is better than its opposite.

Try to find the most complete view of life, the world, and of human affairs which satisfies this description and test it against the competition.

WHAT IS OVERSOCIALISATION?

When people learn to adjust to others and to function in a society this is called socialisation. We also do it to puppies to train them how to behave well.

Socialisation is about learning the rules of social behaviour so you can fit in and have a happy, orderly life.

Oversocialisation is a term created to describe the adjustment to rules which are destructive to the self and to society. When you see people believing in mad things which wreck their lives as well as yours, you are looking at the effect of oversocialisation.

EXAMPLES OF OVERSOCIALISATION

Oversocialisation is why White people are more terrified of being called racist than of being demographically replaced. It is why thirdworldisation and moral collapse is celebrated as enlightened progress.

It is why White Liberal Women welcome the migrants who disproportionately rape and murder them and their children, it is why police officers genuflect to George Floyd rioters, it is why many people applaud the permanent wars which drive mass migration.

It is why you will be demonised if you do not support Israel or Ukraine. Oversocialisation is not just a leftwing phenomenon.

It is present whenever someone has internalised the memes of the international management as the basis of their personality. It makes people valorise Evil and demonise Good, making the persecution of the truth a good career move.

WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM?

Our mass culture can be understood as a form of total propaganda.

Messages are bundled with every policy and product we peruse and purchase. This messaging is sometimes called “the rule by media”. It is sponsored by financial and political interests whose common aim is to fold the world into one uniform system.

To be oversocialised is to be conditioned to accept the propaganda morality of the internationalist agenda in exchange for your instincts.

Totems such as the Rainbow Flag, open borders, diversity as a strength, the Net Zero agenda and the merits of lockdowns and “vaccines” are routinely promoted throughout every aspect of our mass culture.

“I stand with” the latest war is another example.

These sponsored messages are designed to replace your own judgement about what is good for you, for society, for your children, and what is Good and Evil generally speaking.

These New Values are not just an example of moral inversion - presenting evil as good and vice as virtue.

They replace your disgust reflex, self preservation and rightful indignation at obvious wrongs with a penal system of virtue signals plus the promise of social death for dissent.

THOUGHTCRIME AND PUNISHMENT

The process of oversocialisation is one effect of the refinement of the political technique of the 20th century, which can be summarised as the rule by media.

It does not persuade you with arguments in its advertising, but removes the capacity to argue completely. It switches out your decision making capacity with the fear of being punished for committing and then voicing thoughtcrimes.

This is not a bargain you by into - but a production line of blackmail. You are free to suffer the consequences of refusing these special offers.

The oversocialised are programmed by the algorithm of the ruling regime, whose goal is to dissolve everything into its standard global management model. Sanity, morality, instinct, family and national loyalty, and the capacity to reject broadcasted messages of forced compliance are all obstacles to this end.

The internationalist agenda will destroy your nation, your dignity, and you.

If you reject it you pay a terrible psychological and emotional price. You may experience social death as your friends and family disown you.

To be oversocialised is to have your best interests replaced by the worst.

It is to surrender to the memes produced by our mass culture, which is the governing machinery that transmits the liberal state religion.

The concept of oversocialisation reveals the profound evil of the system which rules us into compliance with the political economy of civilisational suicide.

INTERNAL EXILE

The fear of internal exile is a major selling point for the sale of your soul. The beliefs you internalise are supplied to you as a replacement religion.

This is why you often see unstable and hysterical people at the forefront of whichever mad cult has claimed them with a promise of unearned privilege and the power to condemn the sane and the wise.

You may find yourself having to wear a mask to avoid internal exile.

Most of us will be familiar with the experience of meeting people who have completely deranged beliefs and who present themselves as normal.

The intention is to frame anyone who disagrees with the voices transmitted into their head as a loony. This means you.

It is hard to remain calm when this happens. It is hard not to cave in and signal compliance. Responding normally - with outrage or ridicule - can cost you your ability to earn a living.

HOW NOT TO HATE YOURSELF

Do not be ashamed if you have to nod along with the mandatory insanity to pay your bills. If your friends and family have all been transitioned into loyal consumers of the products of this industrial scale delusion machine do not destroy your relationships by trying to argue with them.

Argument, debate and reason are encouraged by the regime because it makes its captive audience see you as the villain.

You will change only one aspect of their mind - the one that codes you as friend or enemy.

Remember to the oversocialised their beliefs are not freely chosen but implanted on conditional fear and ostracism. If you question these beliefs you are not discussing the merits of a position but attacking what has become the foundation of their personality.

If you make a friendly attempt to save them you will be seen as an enemy who is attacking who and what they are and trying to take away the basis of the meaning of their lives.

This is terrible, and it reveals the profound evil at the base of the process of oversocialisation. It has switched out the identity of the person for a standardising substitute. The subject defends their downloaded identity against any intrusion, policing their own imprisonment and framing attempts at help as harm.

This is why you should proceed with caution if you attempt to detransition your friends and family or any other casualties of this campaign.

Do not destroy your relationships

It is hard but not impossible to be in this mad world but not of it. If you must, maintain your mental and emotional hygiene regime in private.

Do not destroy your marriage, family relationships, friendships and social life if you can avoid doing so.

Telling people the truth about the world and especially about themselves is a great way to end up like Uncle Ted in a shed.

Uncle Ted was right when he coined the term “oversocialisation” - but he was obviously not right about sending letter bombs to people.

This “accepted morality” is manufactured and supplied through modern mass culture. It is made up - of messages from the sponsors of the political economy.

Uncle Ted said all this in “Industrial Society and Its Future”.

He is framed as a radical environmentalist, but his ideas go far beyond his outrage at the systematic destruction of the natural world which prompted his terrorism.

Kaczynski’s reading of our sick mass culture and how it is virally transmitted touches on its routine deletion of human dignity.

He also shows the role of “intellectuals” - thought leaders if you like - in the transmission of compliance with the values of universal destruction.

If you think it is too spicy to quote the Unabomber Manifesto, which you should certainly read as it is very interesting, consider the Frankfurt School said this:

GOOD IDEAS, BAD IDEOLOGIES

I am not a Marxist and do not accept the remedies of the Frankfurt School to the problems they correctly diagnosed.

I do not endorse sending letter bombs to people as Kaczynksi did.

One dimension of mental hygiene is developing the discipline to entertain and examine ideas without accepting everything the person who wrote them believes.

The best way to understand why we are in this terrible state is that our system is not centrist nor really liberal or democratic at all. We inhabit an ongoing revolution, which has absorbed and adapted every method which can make it more effective.

The overall goal is to standardise the whole world according to the standards of the internationalist agenda. This is why your religion, traditions, history, laws, culture, arts and architecture and the very meaning of your life is being replaced with the product line of a borderless mass culture produced to make any other way of being unthinkable.

The adverts for this global utopia do not match the awful reality we inhabit. People today are radicalised by this reality. The price of their shopping. The indignity of their lives. The presence of hostile strangers everywhere. The permanent wars, abroad and at home, by means of bombs and sponsored social revolution, which are destroying everything we knew as our own.

The destruction of the natural beauty of the world, the placeless architecture replacing our vernacular, the uglification that is modern art and the aggressive promotion of sexual extremism - even to children.

No amount of propaganda can revive mass belief in this regime. Reality cannot be censored. This political technique relies on the manufacture of mass belief in the liberal system. It is the use of communications technology to create a cult that is so pervasive it is invisible - until it becomes obvious that it is a direct contradiction of the real life effects its parent system has produced.

It is reality which is detransitioning our people from the captive marketplace of ideas created to control them. These cult beliefs are increasingly recognised as an existential threat to everything of real value in our lives.

TOTEMS AND TABOOS

The totems of this cult - the progress flags, the Green death cult, the wars and the mass migration they fuel - are so obviously destructive they must be defended by taboo. This is why critics of these aspects of the internationalist creed are called terrible names and are demonised and criminalised.

The punishment of the prudent and the principled normalises normlessness and attaches severe consequences to the public profession of the truth. It codes sanity and veracity negatively, rewarding ignorant compliance and amplifying those least capable of exercising any emotional continence, resilience or self discipline.

The desired result is to neutralise the ruled - as the only permitted values and standards are those conducive to the goal of the internationalist elite.

Oversocialisation breeds dependency in the population on the supply of virtual rewards for the virtue signalled by professing these beliefs.

STAYING SANE FOR THE WIN

The extremists are in power. Every accusation of extremism they level at you is a confession of their own nature.

This too is part of the process of oversocialisation - to accuse the victim of committing the offence when they complain of the insult and injury they suffer.

If you manage to stay sane you become an example by contrast to the insane evil of the liberal internationalist State.

It is trying to destroy you, your people, your beliefs and your capacity to make sense of the world, your relationship to God, the purpose of your life and the structure of your society.

It is corrupting every concept and converting every institution to its global programme of standardisation. What is being standardised in the process of oversocialisation is mass psychological and emotional dependence on the messaging of the ruling elite. This is the process by which the supply of the meaning of your life is secured.

In summary, oversocialisation is the process by which you are made to believe you can only be a good person if you celebrate the destruction of civilisation.

This is a post about how we are psychologically coerced into compliance with our own destruction, which should take you about 10 minutes to read.

It will show you how some of the techniques used to force conformity with destructive polices function.

This system is more refined than ever - yet as I shall show, it is now breaking down.

Instead of breaking down with it, I offer some advice on how to recover yourself, and your friends and family, from the viral infection of the liberal poison machine.

WHY YOU SHOULD CARE

The transmission of anxiety and fear through mainstream memes is the basis of the soft authoritarian power which rules us today.

To recognise, counter and remove this from your thoughts and emotions is to liberate yourself from control, and to make possible the having of better thoughts and feelings.

If you cannot control your own thoughts and feelings someone or something else will.

In fact - they do so. Our thoughts and emotions are prompted and produced by the propaganda system of the liberal regime, which is practically everywhere in our lives.

To recognise and recover from this is to restore your own mental, emotional and spiritual health.

FLOURISHING OR TREMBLING

At the time of Socrates there was a saying, χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά1

This means “all that is beautiful is difficult”, and this proverbial wisdom has a profound meaning for how we should live. That is probably why no one says it any more, as practical and spiritual wisdom is replaced by the way we are ruled with slop which turns you into a trembling ruminant instead of teaching you how to flourish.

Cultivating excellence is beautiful. It is difficult to discipline the intellect, the body, and the emotions.

To do so is to develop beyond the passive state of consumption and stimulation which tethers us to the consumer-credit system. If you can command your own desires they cannot be mobilised, repackaged and sold back to you as “freedom”. To apply this to your life is to develop the sort of practical and spiritual wisdom which makes you a happy and formidable warrior.

Eloquencemaxxing

Some people have said I speak well and that they would like to do so too.

The things I have done to do this myself have not been conducive to the consumer economy and its increasingly cheerless working environment.

I will explain some of those in more detail in later posts. For now, I will begin with a warning that as you refine yourself you will find the system we inhabit even more upsetting than you do now, as you draw its envenomed stings from the core of your being.

Simply, the more you clean up your mind the more the madness of how we are made to live carries a risk.

What is that risk?

YOU MAY BECOME SEVERELY DISCHEESED.

To avoid becoming Discheesement Mouse you must adopt a deeper discipline.

There is no point to clearing out your mind if the results make you cope and seethe into a paroxysm. This too is a matter of discipline, and I will present some practical means of developing that in later posts.

For now I will explain that the way we are ruled stupefies and neutralises us.

REPRESSIVE DESUBLIMATION - CONSUMERISM AS SPIRITUAL HIJACK

Mass belief is produced by the transmission of sponsored messages through every aspect of our culture.

If you want people to believe in something you attach some basic desire to your product, and present it as an aspirational life choice.

You can call it good, wise, new, advanced and present anyone who does not buy into it as bad, stupid, outdmoded and backward. All you have to do to get most people to believe something is to keep telling them the same thing.

This confers a second-order benefit to the consumption and rediffusion of the policy or product or personality on sale. By adopting its aura you can present yourself, with neither effort nor merit, as instantly superior by contrast to those fools who do not buy the same product lines as you do.

So, an appeal to desire which stirs our vanity the basis of modern propaganda, advertising or public relations. This is how they make belief, this is how new norms are normalised and how the marginal becomes the new normal, vice virtue, and so on.

Products are sold by attaching desires and aspirations to their name. This process sells shoes and surgeries and sugar substitutes as well as the cult beliefs of our current political system. It presents a psychological reward for buying in, and it promises severe psychological penalties if you don’t.

In brief, our people are emotionally blackmailed into complying with their own destruction. This is foremost a spiritual destruction2.

The use of mass media and mass culture to produce, police and attach penalties to the rejection of mandatory beliefs became obvious under Covid-19 regimes.

This is done with all the other beliefs too. It is the same technique, expressed severally - which internalises anxiety over prudential disagreement with what we are presented as the official definition of Good, the Just and the True.

This applies to the wars, the justice system, mass migration, hypersexual normalisation, consumer nihilism, and moral inversion generally.

THE PENAL SYSTEM OF SOFT AUTHORITARIANISM

We are not typically handcuffed and roughed up into a van for daring to be sane in public like Callum Barker - who protested against the housing of migrants at the Bell Hotel in Epping. Local girls had been sexually assaulted and raped by migrants at the hotel.

Trying to stop your people being raped by foreigners who should not be here is “incitement to racial hatred” of course.

Getting arrested and jailed does happen sometimes, of course, if you dare to tell the truth in public about any or all of the regime’s universally destructive political economy.

Yet there is an internal firewall which is programmed into us to prevent us ever daring to tell the truth to ourselves in the first place.

This is far more common. It is much easier and cheaper for the State to do to people than to nick them and lock them up. It is how Liberal Democracies invisibly police their populations, and is part of the technique of making pantomime elections appear legitimate, for example.

This is the “Cop in the head” of William Burroughs (another degenerate author whose immoral tales prove remarkably apt to our demoralising times).

It means you are socialised to fear even thinking about the truth of the State we are in as to do so risks the condemnation of the mass culture which supplies you with its Big Lies.

To call them Big Lies, or to even question them out loud, is to risk being condemned by your spouse, family, friends and workmates. The risk of telling the truth is social death. You can also call this modern exile.

Exile has been long regarded by our ancestors as a fate worse than death. It used to mean being sent out of your homeland, away from your family and people forever, to live your days out among strangers.

The exile we face for telling the truth about the state we are in is an internal exile, which is even worse.

THE PRICE OF PRINCIPLE

If you are a prudent, principled person who recognises and respects the truth, you will be placed in an awful dilemma under this form of psychological warfare.

If you name the awful truth, you risk losing your family and friends, your livelihood and even your liberty.

If you see the truth and do not name it, you feel like a traitor to the truth, and to all your ancestors and to your children, too.

This is the terrible state we are in. We have been conditioned into this state of internal division by the technique of the politics of national suicide.

If you ever wonder why so many seemingly capable and decent people go along with their replacement and the ruin of their civilisation consider the psychological and emotional burden they carry whether they speak out or do not.

Being sane and stating the obvious are dangerous to this insane and obviously evil system.

This is why stating the case is criminalised and why anyone who does so is demonised.

To police our people like this is to make them feel profoundly anxious and guilty because they see the truth. It is to brand our pepople as wicked and dangerous because they want their country to be safe for women and children.

It is to shame us into internal exile because we rightfully believe we have a right to our own home, our own homelands. It reserves its strongest curses for those who are brave enough to want to defend the Christian civilisation of their forefathers against its many enemies.

This is a sick system. Its technique of securing its own power over our people aims to break us psychologically, emotionally and spiritually - literally demoralising us all into helpless subjection to a projected of managerially assisted national suicide.

Conversely, the fact this system is recognised as evil gives us the chance to live an heroic life in doing whatever we can to abolish it.

FIREWALLS FAILING

The good news about this internalised policing is it is no longer working.

This technique is more advanced and pervasive than ever - yes - but it can no longer contain populations with its programmed compliance.

The firewalls placed around politics and within the minds of our people are no longer effective in containing the demand for sanity in our political economy.

Why is this social algorithm no longer in control? It is basically a refined form of advertising which radiates from every aspect of our mass culture.

These adverts tell you if you worship the false idols of the liberal-global system you can call yourself a Good Person. Violate these terms and conditions and you can be vilified, ruined and even killed.

Our people are beginning to realise this means you are free to agree with being destroyed now or later. The price of saying something is now less than saying nothing - because if we continue to suffer in silence we stand to lose everything, forever.

MAKE A FRIEND OF YOUR MIND

To recapture your thoughts and emotions from the technique of the regime is to begin to practise the sort of discipline which frees you from external control.

This is ultimately a spiritual discipline, which, if you continue the hard work required to cultivate mental hygiene, will demonstrate why Christ said the truth will set you free.

It does.

You must clear out the memes of cultural production from your mind.

As you cultivate better habits of mind, you will find you disdain self destructive thoughts and emotions. Eventually you will become capable of helping others.

Those you may consider your most bitter enemies in ordinary life are often your friends, family and workmates who might despise you for speaking the truth. These are our people too. They have been captured by a technique designed to do just that - and I will explain more about this concept of “oversocialisation” in the next post.

Before I do so I will remind you to try to consider becoming a sort of social missionary.

If you realise how the sickness of moral inversion permissions the politics of national and spiritual destruction, you will understand your so-called enemies are more like casualties in a battle.

Your social mission is to help the wounded and heal the sick whenever and wherever you can. Many of our people stand with us in this fight and are silenced by the justifiable fear that their lives will be ruined if they openly join us.

Be an example to them that they can show to their families and friends. Show the world we are not the demons we are said to be by the poison machine which rules us into ruin. Cultivate the power to wield the sword of truth, which is the weapon that will rebalance our lives.

The system called liberal democracy has produced a crisis by policy it cannot contain. It is finished. Now is the time to make a better beginning of a future worth the name - for us and for our children.

FOR EXAMPLE: MY LIFE

I detest celebrity, see the current internet as Satan’s Window, and view most things and people on it with suspicion.

Having been damned to fame by means of the Phone Age I consider my life to be a sort of practical joke played on me by God Himself for His own amusement.

I am currently managing not to go insane myself and what I have learned about the information age and its technique has proven very helpful - especially when combined with concepts of human flourishing and their practical everyday use.

I will talk about these, too, showing you what I have done and what I recommend to survive the slopwave which threatens to submerge us all.

BACKGROUND READING

Where does this wave of slop come from? Here are two posts which show you why and how the input and output of our minds is increasingly calibrated to the patterns of machines.

This matters, because it shows how the contents of your mind are furnished with convenient trash for the purposes of pacification.

This second piece of background reading shows some of the ideas which promote as positive the transition from human to machine values.

To restore our civilisation requires that we comprehend what we have lost.

What we are losing today in the mind melting information age is the presence of mind which is fundamental to the recognition of what matters in our lives.

This is why I begin with a post about why you should stop trying to keep up - as doing so will only make you melt down.

The technique of information is so refined it has now overtaken our capacity to make use of it.

Instead, it is increasingly making use of you - and it also does this by making you useless.

When you glom onto the screen you become passive.

As you are saturated with perspectives your picture of reality dissolves.

This makes you a powerless spectator.

To recover your capacity to think and decide for yourself as to how we should live you must understand why this function is not an accident, and that it is vital you learn how to avoid remaining an impotent spectator of your own demise.

THE KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY

Everything in our mass culture is a sales pitch for the global economy.

Lifestyles, politics, news, entertainment, values and the vices presented as virtues all promote the production of profit, whose byproduct is what we might call ourselves.

This is a total system - a system relying on repeat sales or consumption which could fairly be called an addiction economy.

You do not have to think of what you want, because it also supplies the desires its products promise to satisfy.

In this information age, this is the economic basis of our politics and culture. Data has replaced industry, and we now have a knowledge economy instead.

The knowledge it provides drives the demand for services, and the provision of this knowledge is an industry in itself.

How successful is this industry? As John Gray has pointed out, we now have a knowledge economy in which no one knows anything.

As his former student Maurice Glasman added - no one knows how to do anything either.

MAKING BELIEF

Yet something is being made - or remade. We are.

The feedback loop of our personal desires is returned to us with refined appeals, selling us beliefs, a system, a series of consolations in place of the rising aspiration of former decades.

It is only when we cut the feed that we realise that this is all coming at the cost of a great subtraction. Meaning first, then swiftly followed by the supersession of sanity with a permanent series of shocking sensations.

The internet has no end and no editor. It is an eyeball competition, and to enter it is to have your brain consumed like popcorn - forever snapping off into new morsels of momentary savour which fill - for a while - but do not nourish.

The reason you should spend less time on the internet is it does not just drive your enemies insane.

CUSTOMS OF A STRANGE TRIBE

To try to understand the predicament you inhabit, perhaps consider your culture as a grotesque work of art, and the behaviours and beliefs it promotes as the customs of a strange tribe.

These new totems and taboos are transmitted virally. The worship of George Floyd, the defence of war as peace, the transgender virus. The propaganda of competing tribes is sold in the same way as sugar saturated treats: it is weaponised social contagion via mass media.

It was once a mark of the educated to be well read. It is now more important to read well, or not at all - because so much of what we now consume is worse for us than nothing.

NARRATIVE COLLAPSE - AND DATABABEL

The collapse of the global system is also powering the meltbrain culture.

As people realise the Grand Narrative of liberal democracy was an advert for a death cult, they have become incredulous towards everything - and likely to seek alternative meaning anywhere they can find it.

Secondly, with no reliable narrator it seems wisest to hear as many voices as you can. This does not result in a balanced view but babel. What we receive from the Heraklitean flux of the ever-changing info-river is not a God’s-eye view of reality, but a series of shocking contradictions which cannot be integrated into a coherent picture.

The result is overload and meltdown. The byways to brain-boiled bafflement are constellated by apophenia - the drawing of connections between bright points of dopamined data where none really exist.

In this age of sensation many people are most incredulous at the sight of reality. It is hard to convince people that things are and even can be real, after a century of propaganda towards the contrary.

The liberal advert promised a life without limits. We live in a moment of correction, where this grandiose fantasy is colliding with the hard limits of reality.

One important dimension of this is in your head. Your brain has limits as to what it can integrate into sense. To overload it is to reduce you to a state of overstimulated paralysis, where nothing can reliably be decided or done.

In short, trying to keep up will make you useless.

This is very good from the point of view of an addiction economy, which seeks to create dependence on its products. It profits from your loss of self control and self command. The less you use it, the less it can use you.

The converse is true, as the more you interact with the algorithm, the less of you there really is. It is subtraction for distraction, and the side effects of this regimen include the dissolving of the very self you sought to enrich, or amplify, or entertain. In the end, perhaps the only cohesive picture of yourself which will remain is the one which is attached to your social media profile.

You can refuse to vanish into the mirror of course - though it has an appeal which began well before the digital age.

It was first used by the Aztecs to grant the vision of the demon Tezcatlipoca, “Smoking mirror”.

Obsidian mirrors were used to view the secrets of the lives of other men, with the caveat that the black mirror also looked into you.

Permitting the void to enter you did not just grant knowledge - its black economy also confused the viewer with lies and tricks - with no indication of what was true or false in the visions it gifted.

The simple alternative to meltbrain is to limit your exposure to the void. It does not become you, after all, and it cannot do so if you do not feed it with yourself.

Just as you should not dine forever on desserts, it is prudent to practice the discipline of “enough” with regard to what you are regarding.

And what is regarding YOU.

New habits - especially good ones - are hard but not impossible to acquire. You can set a timer on Satan’s Window.

You can refuse to keep up. After all, what is the fear of missing out against the danger of going missing altogether? Remember that every minute spent in the void of the black mirror is time subtracted from real life. How often are you really there?

This life is not eternal, it is limited - and we are in the end the sum of what we have and have not done. We will answer for this. All of us.

There is a higher spiritual purpose to life than information paralysis. If you can’t look away from the eyeball magnet you may not even remember it is there at all.

Why has the murder of counter-liberal politicians and public figures been normalised in the West?

In this post I explore the killing of right wing figures such as Ann Widdicombe, Charlie Kirk, David Amess MP as a product of a process of character assassination. This process is part of our political system, and is a function of the social algorithm by which we are ruled.

THE PENALTY FOR BLASPHEMY IS DEATH

If you prominently speak out against the Liberal State Religion of open borders, net zero and the rainbow flag you can expect to be demonised, deplatformed and killed.

Last week a British counter-Liberal politician was murdered in her home.

Ann Widdecombe, a Catholic and former Conservative Minister of State and MP, was found dead in her Devon bungalow on the 9th of July. She was 79 years old, and the police said she had suffered “serious injuries”.

She was a lifelong opponent of abortion, refused the rainbow agenda, and ridiculed the climate change cult.

These are acts of blasphemy against the beliefs of the Liberal State.

As the murder of Charlie Kirk, of Quentin Deranque, and the brutal assaults on AfD politicians shows, the True Believers in these totems of mass destruction will celebrate when you are hospitalised or killed.

The State will massage each instance of this procedural process it has produced, saying the regrettable deaths are exceptional - when in fact the State we are in has made these events a matter of rule.

People like you and me are routinely demonised for violating what the liberals believe to be the terms and conditions of the utopia they are creating - by destroying our lives.

These are Social Contract Killings - and they are seen as acts of virtue by the extremists who have been radicalised by a century of liberal make belief.

KILLING IN THE NAME OF UTOPIA

After the discovery of Widdecombe’s corpse was made public Devon and Cornwall Police launched a murder investigation, saying there was "nothing to suggest" the murder was politically motivated.

A BBC report at 15:44 on the 10th of July said:

- Police issue a statement saying they have launched a murder investigation.

The force says there is "no information that this is a politically motivated crime" and also confirms the incident is not being treated as terror-related

A suspect was arrested on the same day, then released the next morning on Saturday 11th of July.

That night, a second suspect was then arrested in South Yorkshire by officers from Counter Terrorism Police North East. The man, from an address 270 miles from Widdicombe’s home in Rotherham - was charged with murder.

On Sunday 12th of July police again tell the nation “ there is nothing to suggest the alleged murder was politically motivated”.

The next day, Monday 13th, “Counter Terrorism Policing South East states it now leads the investigation into Widdecombe’s murder as “new information and evidence has come to light”.

The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the liberal State’s counter-extremism initiative - called “Prevent” - had no knowledge of the suspect1.

On Tuesday 14th the Head of Counter Terrorism tells reporters Widdecombe had been killed in a "targeted attack"

A day after that reports emerge of a “leftwing motive” in the murder of Ann Widdecombe.

British police instantly downplayed the event, cementing in the public mind a “nothing to see here” narrative about what the BBC referred to as the “death” of Widdicombe.

Why would the messaging we receive seek to massage away the facts of this horrific case?

HOPE NOT HATE - STATE PARTNERS IN CRIME

Ann Widdicombe was featured in a now deleted page on a State-aligned “counter-extremist” NGO.

Hope Not Hate is a Liberal State propaganda and smear group which markets itself as a neutral arbiter of social reality, presenting a right thinking remedy to wrongthink.

“Hope not Hate exists to challenge all kinds of extremism and build local communities. Our work focuses on the organised far-right, the communities who are susceptible to them and the issues and policies which give rise to them”

Founded by the Communist-aligned Nick Lowles, it frames anyone who disagrees with the diabolical revolutionary Liberalism destroying normal life as a racist, a fascist, or a “far right” extremist.

Hope Not Hate produces character assassinations which function as a preamble to actual assassinations.

Hope Not Hate devoted a long entry to Ann Widdicombe detailing her crimes against the revolutionary cult which is ruining our lives.

It was deleted after her murder, because it obviously indicates how people like her murderer would develop the idea to kill her.

Hope Not Hate’s entry on Widdicombe shows that the kind of people who write and read their reports think her very existence is a threat to their utopian fantasies.

It detailed how Widdicombe was a homophobe and a sexist for having Catholic opinions, considered sane and normal by anyone outside the spells cast by the grievance industry.

HNH intimated she was an anti-semite and added to her charge sheet her rejection of the climate change grand narrative, her support for the return of the death penalty, and her opposition to abortion.

This form of mass killing is not even recognised as controversial by the liberals, because it is presented - as all forms of mass killing - as the defence of liberal rights.

The permanent wars which wallpaper our lives are marketed in the same way. We are ruled by a Virtue Killing Machine, which signals its destructive evil as the noble defence of the highest good.

Hope Not Hate is a poison machine which presents its toxic smear tactics as a panacea.

Now its senior leadership will be shaping the politics of the British government.

RADICAL PROPAGANDA AS POLICY

Andy Burnham is the new UK Labour Prime Minister, replacing the disastrous dalek-voiced Keir Starmer.

Burnham will be installed into office today. He has appointed the former director of Hope Not Hate as his head of political strategy.

As Guido Fawkes reported,

“Matthew McGregor was Director of Campaigns & Communications for Hope Not Hate from January 2018 to October 2021”

Yet the former HNH propaganda chief is not the only one.

The investigative journalist Jody Macintyre asked why Hope Not Hate was backing Burnham in the Makerfield byelection.

On 29th May, Macintrye reminded readers of a few facts to complete the information picture.

If you think this irrelevant, consider we are in a permanent war on our civilisation, and that the US Vice President JD Vance told Joe Rogan the Israel lobby was underming US efforts to make peace in Iran, and had paid influencers to attack him and the Trump administration.

The war on our civilisation has many sponsors, and they are active across the political spectrum. That consensus is forced in part by the exclusion of anyone who dares to present a solution to its politics of permanent crisis.

INVENTING THE THREAT OF THE FAR RIGHT

Hope Not Hate invents fake terrorist threats to justify its existence, its funding and influence.

Hope Not Hate repeatedly branded Charlie Kirk as “far right” and smeared him - along with many others - for “denialism” of the Covid-19 regime. If you are not a believer in lockdowns and vaccines, you are an enemy of the State which mandated them as the new terms of the new condition of “freedom”.

These terms and conditions are set by Hope Not Hate’s ideological framing.

Hope Not Hate’s Liron Velleman, a convicted child sex offender, helped to write the UK’s online safety bill.

The Bill was sold to the British public as a means of protecting our children from the kind of people who wrote it.

In fact, this Bill was such an outrageous escalation of State censorship it fuelled a diplomatic incident with the US government. Who was responsible for that?

As my fellow far-right extremist Tom Rowsell correctly observed, Hope Not Hate is not simply aligned with the Labour government - it is identical with it.

Hope Not Hate’s integration into the State is nothing new, as UnHerd’s report explained:

The founder of Hope Not Hate, Nick Lowles, formerly worked for Searchlight Magazine, a “pro-democracy” and “antifascist” operation linked to British State intelligence.

Searchlight’s “pro-democracy” actions included inventing threats to lie to the British public about the far-right menace, which Searchlight existed to warn them about. It created the conditions for its own existence, whilst removing any reasonable defence of those of our own. This is where Hope Not Hate came from:

In the minds of these people the defence of democracy is their mission, and anyone who disagrees with their definition of it is branded a dangerous threat.

This creates a political and social monopoly for a group of people whose interests are not yours, and whose motive is to brainwash and replace you.

This is in fact the democracy that is being defended today - a war on sanity, on the meaning of words and of our lives, on the existence of our people, our freedoms, and on our entire civilisation. If they notice this they will toxify your reputation to the point it becomes a public duty to stop you.

This is how killing people like you and me is condoned by the drip feed of extremist propaganda, sponsored by the State, to defend its right to take your life if you disagree with the political economy of national suicide.

If you threaten the imagined social contract of these lunatics, its terms dictate that you don’t deserve to live.

Social Contract Killings have been normalised by the same State which has made a business of mass migration, permitted the rape of our children for decades, and which refuses to recognise real terror threats as it prefers to designate the threatened - us - as the problem to be solved.

BRITISH STATE - ENEMY OF CIVILISATION

Yesterday the US published a speech by Marco Rubio, in which he questioned the dangerous framing of domestic threats to civilisation.

In it, he showed the insidious manner in which progressive revolutionary terror was described with routine sympathy in our mass media - promoting the belief that only the Right presented a threat.

In reality, terrorism has been the stock in trade of radical progressives in the West for decades. And it continues to this day.

Rubio said this was the product of a counter-civilisational evil.

This is a distinctive and unique evil. It has always been driven by a hatred, above all else, for civilization itself.

Under Rubio, the State Department noted “The Need for civilisational allies in Europe” in May, 2025.

Did the US see such an ally in Britain then?

UnHerd’s report showed serious concerns over the use of “extremism” to silence critics of a liberal system which is endangering its own people with mass migration.

It is unlikely the US sees a civilisational ally with a government now staffed by people whose expertise lies in denying real threats and designating their remedies as dangerous extremism.

Britain has a State which refuses to see the obvious evil of the terror in its midst, as every Islamist terror attack from the Manchester Arena bombing to the beheading of Fusilier Rigby was carried out by persons known to and ignored by the authorities.

It would be racist to notice this threat.

It is a State which frees convicted paedophiles and imprisons native British people who speak against the crimes we suffer as a result of State policy.

It would be paedophobic to jail child predators.

If you speak against any or all of the destructive totems of the differently saned they will curse you into unpersonhood, and celebrate when you’re murdered.

This is the State we are in today. It is not an ally of the US, as it is the enemy of its own people. The Social Contract it defends with propaganda, lies and death sentences democratised through sanctioned hate speech is a contract to kill our nation and our entire way of life.

The supreme virtue of this social contract is to end anyone who will not sign their lives away to it.

If we submit to this, we are finished anyway. If we get old, as Ann Widdicombe grew old, we may simply be ended in our dotage in the same way, in a sacrificial homage to the Enemy of all mankind.

This is not a matter of political debate. It is a matter of life and death. Ours.

Those who would take everything from us to secure their own are bewitched by the diabolical belief that the defence and commission of evil is a duty to the public good.

These people are dangerous.

Proceed with caution, and wherever you can, try to help them detransition from this morally inverted cult which equates sanity with a death threat.

To restore our civilisation we must recognise that for a century the minds of our people have been captured and directed by a constantly refined political technique designed to do just that.

If we are to do better than the virtues of vice and the political economy of national suicide, we must learn to think outside the pseudo reality framed by the mass manufacture of meaning.

This is the reason I am writing today about Joseph de Maistre, whose transformation from revolutionary believer to the most devastating critic of the religion of Man provides an outstanding example to us all of how to detransition from the political religion of evil.

INTRODUCTION - WHY YOU SHOULD READ DE MAISTRE

De Maistre’s personal detransition from the cult of revolt to the defence of civilisation was by turns hilarious, shocking and truly inspirational. His Study on Sovereignty is an argument against the nonsense cult of revolution.

It will introduce you to a body of work which is a complete and comprehensive rejection of the secular religion of The Enlightenment, whose deranged superstitions are presented as the liberation of Man from all restraints by means of his worship as a god in the making. This is called “Reason”.

We are ruled by its fables, which include only what serves the revolutionary purpose, and excludes all wisdom to the contrary. To talk about De Maistre is to remember the truth of the limits of Man has never been forgotten, and to understand De Maistre is to realise that a system whose revolt denies these limits is bound to lead us all into disaster.

This long-dead French jurist is not only startling in his continued explanatory power, but he can speak to the madness of our times, that silent siren of “the trilling wire in the blood”, which shapes our dreams and prompts desire towards the end of us all beneath a monument of ruin called Progress.

REASON AS A CULT

The Revolutionaries in France instituted a formal Cult of Reason which they installed in certain Catholic Churches - most famously in the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris in 1793, which was renamed The Temple of Reason.

A woman was worshipped as the Goddess of Reason, and a little Greek temple was made to represent “Philosophy”, which was put on the top of a model magic mountain placed in the Cathedral.

A “flame of truth” burned on the altar, and the congregation of sang hymns to “Liberty”, celebrating their liberation from sanity. The Deist Robespierre denounced these “ridiculous farces” and replaced them after only 5 months with his own: The Cult of the Supreme Being. That lasted two months.

All such cults were banned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802. The open attempt to make a Religion of Man was a spectacle so obviously ridiculous even the revolutionaries cringed at the sight of it.

This is the reason the same humanist cult is submerged in talk of rights, equality, justice and liberation beyond the boundaries of sanity and morality today.

THE STUDY ON SOVEREIGNTY

This is the name of one of De Maistre’s works on the nature of Nations, the Divine origins of sovereignty which demonstrates that the revolutionary theory and practice is crime against God and Man.

The Study on Sovereignty is a rejection of the ideals and practice of the French Revolution. It shows why De Maistre rejected it, and explains why a man who initially supported the Revolution came to condemn it.

In The Study De Maistre argues four main points.

• That sovereignty - and therefore authority - is Divine in origin

• That the Enlightenment idea of sovereignty - such as that expressed in Rousseau, is false. This means De Maistre argues that “popular sovereignty” - that of “the people” - is a fiction

• That Nations exist, they are peoples not legal fictions, and these peoples (being Nations) have distinct National Character. This means for De Maistre that each Nation requires a specific political constitution according to its nature - and that no one form of government is universally valid

• Finally, De Maistre says the constitutive power of Nations is not constructed but founded - by a Founder, who is sovereign. The Nation is not a pocket watch put together to tick through progress in time as the revolutionaries past and present would have us believe.

I bring this extract to you to encourage you to read it yourself. De Maistre’s writings are astonishing for their blunt statement of the facts of Man’s folly and his limitations, which include his inability to recognise them in himself and those of the crazed fantasies which inspire his revolting actions.

The basic argument is that revolutionaries reject the basis of reality and do not accept that the nature of man is limited for all time and is changeless.

If you read this book with our times in mind it becomes obvious how the worship of a false idol of Man has produced the murder of meaning and mandatory madness we inhabit today.

Here is the opening of the sixth part of De Maistre’s Study on Sovereignty, which was written between 1794–1795. This work is an often amusing vivisection of the rotten corpus of Jean-Jacques Rousseau whose legacy is the lifeblood of all revolutionaries.

Why does this matter?

Rousseau promoted the basic revolutionary concept which makes necessary the replacement of everything with The Revolution.

He said it was the way we live - our civilisation - which makes men bad and unhappy. He said that Man was basically good, born free, chained by custom and religion into bondage. He spoke of Liberation, and the Liberty he championed recognised no limits to human potential. Man could save himself, he said, if only he believed as Rousseau and the revolutionaries he inspired believe.

These beliefs, mass produced by our mass media, all promote the destruction of our entire civilisation as a virtue made necessary by the cause of human emancipation.

This is the reason our system reshapes our lives, inside and outside of us all, with a power of make belief which makes us believe that national suicide, nihilism and moral degeneracy are Good and Just, and that the lies of the Regime which rules us into annihilation are True.

It is the reason we see the Vatican now promoting a Rousseauian Religion of Man in place of that of Christ, and why our States demand we pay soaring taxes to destroy our civilisation.

REVOLUTIONARY PROGRESS - A CULT OF LIES

De Maistre shows the basic idea of the Revolution is a dangerous fantasy.

Man cannot transcend his limits by his own means. Progress is a fiction in the sense of inexorable moral uplift. Man’s nature does not change, and cannot be changed by believing it can be. To make all men enemies of civilisation in the cause of Liberty is to mobilise all humanity in a declaration of war - against God, and the Common Good which flows from the recognition of His sovereignty.

This means that all attempts to liberate Man by appeals to human progress are wicked, and will produce exactly the sort of universal damage we witness today in every dimension of our lives.

The disaster we call the new normal has been permitted by the supply of the false beliefs of the revolution as reality to the masses.

This is the mass production of popular consent for the weapon of mass destruction which calls itself Liberal Democracy. Its legitimacy is the popularisation of lies whose denial endangers your liberty. That is how we end up in the State we are in, where the mention of basic facts and the noticing of the obvious carry social, career and criminal penalties.

What the Revolution seeks to escape is reality, what it seeks to free us from is sanity and order and meaning, and what it supplies in place of all these is a living hell promoted by the promise of a paradise on earth1 from which, we are told, there is no escape.

This too is a lie, as the work and example of De Maistre shows.We do not have to live like this.

DETRANSITIONING WITH JOSEPH DE MAISTRE

De Maistre was a Freemason for twenty years of his life. He began to reject Masonry several years after the Revolution in 1789. He then completely repudiated it, seeing in its Illuminism the source of all the destructive terror of Revolution.

Initially he supported the Revolution, but again by 1792 had come to recognise it as evil - being a revolt against the natural order created by God.

De Maistre died a faithful Roman Catholic, concluding that the madness of Revolution was a sort of constant expiation for the sins of Mankind. He argued for the restoration of civilisation through the teachings of the Catholic Church.

In those teachings the Church condemns the false god of human equality, and states that any politics founded on such idols as equality and the liberation of Man from the true sense of his nature will result in violent national and international disorder and the total moral collapse of society.

The power of Joseph De Maistre lies not only in his robust rejection of the genealogy of revolutionary ideas which have benighted us since the mass deception of The Enlightenment.

The personal example of Joseph De Maistre is that of a man who was also misguided and enchanted, and who by the fearless recognition of the truth about himself, mankind and the nature of reality managed to detransition from the trans-sane cult which has captured so many of our people today.

I shall bring you more counter-revolutionary ideas to help you and your future friends to detransition from the political economy of Satan which has captured our lives, and delivers us into evil.

I have been at the Roman Forum in Gardone, Italy this week - where I gave a talk on the Revolution in Church and State.

Here are the themes I discussed, with many sources supplied from my own work and from the Catholic tradition.

I spoke first on the revolution in the state under the liberal system, and then showed how these techniques explain the revolutionary condition of the modern Church.

I argued that we who recognise this failed attempt to replace our civilisation, the religion on which it was founded and the institutions by which it is administered are not revolutionaries.

We are counter-revolutionaries.

We defend the religion founded by Christ. We seek the restoration God’s justice and the respect for His natural order, the balancing of rights with duties, the return of human dignity to labour and life in general.

The Catholic Church in its traditional teachings has all the answers if it would but preach them.

It has presented us with a blueprint for a political economy of the Common Good.

As the revolution eats itself, we are presented with an historic opportunity to once more look up, instead of down into the mire.

SOURCES FOR MY TALK

Part one relies mainly on my own work showing the last century is the history of a revolutionary system known as “Liberal Democracy”.

I wrote an introduction to this concept here, with ten instalments on differing aspects of a revolution and its technique so normalised it is largely unrecognised for what it is.

Part two shows you the crisis in Church and State was predicted in its every dimension by two outstanding works in the Catholic tradition.

The first is Pascendi Dominici Gregis, published by Pope St Pius X in 1907.

This encyclical was republished in 1908 as A Catechism of Modernism, showing the modern errors, their causes and their remedies. This is as much a book about the correct view of the world as it is a guide to how our beliefs have been systematised to promote vice as virtue.

In a later instalment I covered the parts of Pascendi which describe the creation of a religion of man such as we see in Synodality today.

Again, Pascendi shows how this new modern cult is a religion of errors - and that it paves the way for atheism and nihilism.

As you can see, much of what I say is not my own point of view - but a revival of the wisdom of the Catholic tradition, which predicted precisely the causes, techniques and results of this revolution.

I think it is helpful to explain what “Liberal Democracy” is, how it was made, by whom, what for, and why it has produced over the Liberal Century the state of emergency we now inhabit. Finally, I show why that system is now ending.

The following ten posts take a lot of time to read. TEN PERSPECTIVES ON “LIBERAL DEMOCRACY”

The system we inhabit is a revolutionary system which systematically subtracts all other beliefs, methods of meaning, historical facts and moral foundations from our lives - leaving only its own products to provide our sense of purpose and political possibilities.

It is deliberately bewitching, and has delivered us into a postmodern confusion about everything from the basis of reality to the belief system of modern religion - which is essentially the worship of ideological idols.

In these chapters I explain the political technique of the 20th century, showing how an internationalist economic project produced and installed a political consensus whose impossible dream was to replace civilisation everywhere with itself.

Chapter One introduces the general argument, showing how a system of permanent war was created and sold as progress towards the pinnacle of the human condition:

Chapter Two explores the economic basis of the planned liberal system, whose global ambitions and promotion of social revolution were undertaken to replace the nations of the world with a borderless supermarket - liberated into debt.

Chapter Three shows how the techniques of manufacturing public opinion - refined in the propaganda efforts of the First World War - informed the making of mass belief by which liberal democracies are ruled.

In Chapter Four I explained how liberal democracy markets its dreams of a life without limits, seeking to replace the basis of humanity and our former civilisation with an artificial paradise.

In Chapter Five I looked at how the counterfeit culture of the liberal machine has taken the liberties which existed before it, replacing everything of value with itself - including the traditional definitions of “liberalism”.

The sixth chapter examines the liberal revolutions after the First World War, examining how the Weimar Republic radically inverted the moral values of Western civilisation - and suspended democracy then as now to do so.

Chapter Seven discusses the inauguration of organised political warfare with the creation of the CIA after World War Two. This is the beginning of the coordinated use of cultural production - shaping our mass culture as a vast, sponsored industry of liberal propaganda.

Chapter Eight reveals the technique by which the postwar consensus was manufactured by cultural production, to generate a “pseudo-environment” of legitimacy around the agenda of the liberal elite.

In Chapter Nine I explained the “soft power” of the liberal empire, whose global ambitions were to be secured by the sponsorship of social revolution - at home and abroad.

Chapter Ten dissects the machine politics which delivers election success to the politicians of permanent change, showing how Blairite methods are themselves being replaced - by a transition to digital governance.

TRANSITIONING OUR CIVILISATION

I went to Econe in Switzerland this week with my son to witness the consecration of four bishops by the SSPX, a traditional Catholic fraternity which exists to ensure that traditional Catholicism is preserved.

The Vatican has now excommunicated all the priests, religious, bishops and everyone who adheres to the SSPX - that means, people like me who go to mass and receive the sacraments in SSPX parishes.

Reports are already emerging raising issues with the excommunications, as they are said to theologically questionable and inconsistent with canon law.

The Society of St Pius X and its faithful have been excommunicated by the Vatican for being too Catholic.

Why has this happened?

This has happened because the Vatican is now preaching “Synodality”, which is not the Catholic religion.

The Society needs bishops to continue to ordain priests, in order to preserve the teaching and practice of the Catholic religion.

This is called the “State of necessity” or even “State of emergency” - being a phrase used to explain why the Society is consecrating bishops without the permission of the Vatican.

If you think this harsh or partisan, consider the work of Professor William A Thomas, Papal Theologian at the Holy See.

I wrote a treatment of his book “Catholic Revivalism or a Synodal Church” here.

His book was published this year and it explains that the Vatican is now preaching a New Religion which is not the Catholic religion.

It compares his book to a treatment of Synodality by the SSPX, called “Synodality: An Attack on Papal Authority” published in 2024.

If you read Prof. Thomas’ book you will hear from a man who served Pope John Paul II and who went to school with Pope Leo XIV tell you that the Vatican is teaching a modernist religion of Man which is not Catholic.

He calls for a Catholic Revivalism, based on catechesis - education in the Catholic Faith.

WHY IS THIS CRISIS SO CONFUSING?

The reason why this crisis is so hard to understand is because we are the most poorly catechised generation in the history of the Church, following on the second most poorly catechised generation.

The way we have been ruled has subtracted the knowledge we require to discern right from wrong, error from doctrine and so on, as this is the technique of all revolutions: to supply only the meanings and beliefs which make belief in the ideals and idols of the revolutionaries. You are here.

To correct this deliberate subtraction I strongly suggest you read the Catholic Social Teaching of Leo XIII written between the 1860s and 1890s .

This will equip you to understand:

• How this crisis came about

• How it was created

• Why it was created

• How all this was predicted by Church teaching well over a century ago in every detail

Correctly understood, they are a blueprint for life after the Liberal Death Machine whose revolution created the crisis in Church and State.

THE SYNTHESIS OF ALL HERESIES

It appears we can now witness the fruits of a modernist revolution in the Church, as it now teaches a revolutionary humanist religion of man in place of that of Christ.

As you can see from just one of many examples given above, the open celebration of beliefs and practices in direct contradiction of the Catholic religion attracts no censure or excommunication.

The sacraments are profaned or even phased out, sin is presented as virtue, and Catholics are persecuted for refusing to defect from the religion of Christ to that of Man.

How could this be happening?

A second book predicted this, showing the philosophical grounds and theological and political distortions which the modernisers of the Catholic religion would use to replace the faith with this new cult of Man.

These two books will demonstrate to you the fact that in its traditional teachings the Catholic Church has all the answers to life.

If the Vatican would but teach these to the faithful and preach them to the world, the crisis in the Church and State we currently inhabit would be solved.

There are answers to the troubling questions of our time. These answers will resolve your every question - about how to live, how to rule the State, how to recognise what is Good, and of course how to understand what is Catholic teaching and what is not.

We live in a long revolution whose aim is the replacement of everything with itself.

The concepts we are given to understand our world have almost completely normalised pure make belief.

In this post I will show a few examples of Liberal Idolatry to show how it has produced a cult of mad superstitions under the guise of a liberating humanism.

The deletion of the supernatural basis of our civilisation has replaced Christ with superstitions so ridiculous they invite laughter when accurately described.

This is the reason these lies are surrounded by a bodyguard of censorship, as the only way to preserve these mandatory delusions is to make any honest speech about them a crime.

Here are a few of the bizarre signals of what is called virtue by a system of mobilised vice.

MAN IS BASICALLY GOOD

The history of mankind demonstrates it is not only foolish but reckless to consider Man basically good.

The Liberal idea, being a refinement of the revolutionary notions of people like Rousseau, presumes an imaginary but inviolable basic goodness to mankind, and broadly follows the Rousseauian notion that it is civilisation which makes us wicked.

In the early 20th century Freudianism appeared, to diagnose well ordered morality as a production line of mass neurosis. This was to recast normal life as a mental illness, with the cure being sex without restriction.

One of the later Freudians, Wilhelm Reich, diagnosed the family as a factory of “fascism”, with the cure being the sexualisation of women and children.

Men are flawed, given to vice, and we repeatedly find ourselves enticed into the self destructive habits called sin because we find its fatal appeal seductive.

It is wiser to recognise our nature than to imagine us perfect. To imagine we are made wicked by the natural order and justice which balances our inner and outer lives is to revolt against the sovereignty of God and the basic reality of human nature. It is to invite precisely the sort of normalised depravity we inhabit today, in a hypersexualised and pornified world in which even children are routinely consumed by a licentiousness without limits.

When Man is given moral liberty he is apt to become a libertine, as there is then nothing to restrain him but Reason. This happens because we prefer to supply reasons for any desire which comes to dominate us. A less foolish way to live is to acknowledge this fact, and develop some discipline instead of demanding the satisfaction of all our desires.

We can then enact laws and foster customs according to the understanding of our actual nature - and not a counterfactual fantasy of the Goodness of All Men.

SOCIAL ARITHMETIC AS ETHICS

The Liberal Idea replaces morality with mathematics. If a sufficient number of people believe an act or thing is good, then it becomes so.

This is called “preference utilitarianism” - what the majority prefer becomes The Greatest Good for the Maximum Possible Number.

That this reduces humanity to a number is one alarming fact. Another is that whatever can be popularised through political permission and propaganda becomes “good” by default.

This is why the business of permanent war is the “defence of democracy”, why the sexualisation and sterilisation of children is the defence of their rights, why the legal privilege to kill your own offspring is liberating, why the disposal of the elderly is a “right to die” and the sale of children an altruistic business.

The mass production of the belief that evil is a public good is the process by which the numbers are secured to make a virtue of every destructive vice.

This exterminates the essential value of human life in a cost-benefit analysis that is universally degrading.

Of course, this is also a question of who counts the numbers, and for whose purpose.

What we have today is “hedonic utilitarianism” - the idea that whatever we want is best, and what we do not want is worst. This is the pleasure principle as atheist moral theology. It says this:

• Whatever I want at the time is good

• Whatever causes me pleasure is good

• Whatever causes me pain, sacrifice, or disadvantage is bad

If people can be made to desire what is supplied to them by the consumer nihilist regime, they can be made to believe they inhabit a Good State.

This is how the Liberal State functions, in manufacturing desires and demand for what it supplies, and ensuring we are supplied nothing besides.

THE BEST IDEAS WIN

The belief the best ideas win is false. This is demonstrated by the quality of the ideas which rule us today. Take a look around your life. Is the social algorithm which rules us really composed of the wisest and finest ideas possible?

To ask is to laugh.

This concept is a Liberal Trick. It presents its closed system as open and free, tolerant of all views, and its products as the result of reason liberated from any restraining orders.

We are told that the Liberal System is pluralist - that it is the best of systems as it tolerates all ideas equally, and sifts them through the free contest of concepts so that only the fittest survive to shape our lives.

In reality dialogue and debate are totems, and to point out their function is taboo.

There is no “dialogue” in a locked discourse. “Debate” is a dead end into which we are intentionally directed to argue the case for reality against people who disbelieve in it.

The terms and conditions of “debate” are defined by a century of technique.

This has made the statement of the obvious a form of blasphemy. If you do not think this true, consider how casually the name of Christ is profaned, and how severely you will be punished for stating basic facts about reality.

After a century of cultural transitioning our vocabulary of experience is so impoverished and garbled that even without consistent speech policing it cannot furnish an explanation of the dire state we are in. All the concepts we have of the past, present and possible futures are produced in the same way as the junk food which stacks the aisles of our supermarkets. They are there to fill us up without feeding us. Ten decades of liberal debate have starved us of the means of production of common sense.

This is a trap, which has been set and subtly perfected over a hundred years.

HUMAN PROGRESS

Perhaps the most ridiculous foundational idea of the Liberal Revolution is that Mankind gets morally and intellectually better as a function of time.

This is what the “progress” beloved of “progressives” means: that we all get better because the calendar flips over. An idea so risible that it is appalling it is so widely presumed to be true. The British philosopher John Gray pointed out this pious nonsense out for what it is, as Terry Eagleton noted in this review of Gray’s 2018 book Seven Types of Atheism :

In fact, most supposedly secular thought in Gray’s view is repressed religion, from the liberalism of John Locke to the millenarian visions of the Jacobins and Bolsheviks. The popular belief that atheism and religion are opposites is, in his view, a mistake.

To the humanist idea of Man “Progress” is an article of faith, which again Gray describes as a myth in several other works.

Gray says that this delusion is popular because Man cannot live without something beyond himself to sustain him.

“Humans cannot live without illusions. For the men and women of today, an irrational faith in progress may be the only antidote to nihilism. Without the hope that the future will be better than the past, they could not go on.”

The invention that mothered this necessary belief in the illusion of Progress was the nihilism of the Liberal Revolution, which claims Man can be the engine of his own transcendence, and in his reason find all the salvation he requires.

Gray shows this is a nihilist trap. Again, Liberalism liberates Man into a void, in which his only hope is provided by irrational superstitions. Like progress and of course “equality”.

THE CULT OF EQUALITY

My son is nine years old and he continues to grow. He is already up to my nose and will soon be yet another obvious reminder of the many immutable dimensions of human inequality.

In their faculties, their intellect, their strength, weakness and size, human beings are not and never will be equal.

The mandating of the mass belief in equality simply handicaps the best to make the worst feel better. The gifted are disprivileged, the result is a crisis of competence in which positions of power and professional advantage are distributed for any and all reasons unrelated to capability. Nothing and no one is good when everyone is respected, nothing is going to work if rewards are apportioned on the basis of political make-belief.

That we do not live in a meritocracy but in its opposite is the startling result of the mad cult of equality. This is a foundational belief in a wider religion of mankind long celebrated by the revolutionaries, and now preached from the Vatican.

MENDING THE FENCES OF SENSE

As we can see, the boundaries have been torn down in an act of vengeance on their necessary purpose. Morality is objective, and so is meaning and reality.

The replacement of all this with a subjective meaning of your choice is to make of life a voracious bargain hunt at the expense of the value of everything in it.

The belief that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence of common sense is the process of universal browing, befouling every pasture with a filth which does not fertilise. This is the rescaping of the life of the mind, the profaning of creation and the soul of man, and it is proof positive that there is one form of man-made climate change which is undeniably true.

The man-made change of the climate of opinion has replaced the purpose of our lives with an existential crisis. There is no refuge from reality. The false promises of utopia are a seductive invitation to destroy yourself, and all we used to hold dear.

If you claim to disbelieve in God, make sure to disbelieve in them all. Do not forget to reject the false idols of the Liberal State Religion. It is surprising to see what dark juju lurks behind the blinding Enlightenment. To learn to live without false consolation is truly liberating.

The beginning of this practical wisdom is the acceptance of the fact that Man is not fit to be worshipped, and that any cult which does so deliberately transfigures mankind into an idealised phantom. This way of life is a way of death, venerating what cannot be at the cost of what is, which is all of us and everything in life.

The reflection we receive of our being and reality through the prism of Liberalism is an illusion. We have looked so long into this magic mirror that we can no longer see what it is, and that what it shows is light entertainment absent the nightside of our nature.

When we realise what we are and are not seeing it comes as no surprise that a cult built around Man to replace Christ has delivered us into universal evil.

We are in a war for our entire way of life, and it is fought in the hearts and minds of our people to capture them for the enemy. In order not to become a casualty, it is essential you first recognise that you are in this fight whether you like it or not.

Secondly if you are in a fight you must know how to win.

If you prefer civilisation to madness, the national interest to international interests and God to Satan, it is helpful to know how the enemy operates.

The power of the way we are ruled is the capture of the minds of the public.

This is the aim of the political technique of the 20th century.

One of its most effective tactics is the promotion of victimhood as a means of securing personal and group advantage.

This post is about how that works, how to recognise one of its main techniques, and how to help others recover from the negative symptoms of this psychological bioweapon.

Recognising and rejecting DARVO is essential to the detransitioning of our people, our politics, and our society.

DARVO - DENY ATTACK, REVERSE VICTIM AND OFFENDER

There are many aspects to the toxic solvent of victim culture.

Here I will discuss DARVO, because once you understand how this works, the rest of this pernicious deception is exposed.

DARVO is an acronymn. It means

Deny Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.

Here I will explain why understanding this method of psychological warfare is vital to the recovery of your own independence of mind, your sanity, and the restoration of a common sense of the Common Good to our political economy.

WHY PEAK VICTIMHOOD IS SO POWERFUL

The international liberal system is designed to dissolve our nations and all peoples into a globally standardised world. The creation, sponsorship and political protection of factions of grievance melts our nations down.

The effect at scale is to mobilise masses of people into a sort of declaration of war on our civilisational norms. These factions are often antagonistic to one another, but collectively they destroy all social bonds and the basis of consensus reality, making entire nations incapable of agreeing within themselves.

This form of State-sanctioned social revolution results in a competition for the status of Peak Victim.

The collective lesson learned by the broadcast of the actions of these factions is that securing Peak Victimhood confers political and professional privilege, power and preferment.

Competition for Peak Victim replaces reason with hysteria, facts with propaganda and the truth with lies - in a design for life in which the most lurid of persecution fantasies are infused with the power to transfigure our sense of reality.

This is an example of moral inversion. I explained why this concept is important to understand how we are ruled by mass hysteria here:

When you understand that all these grievance groups are constantly competing for the momentary and supreme privilege of Peak Victim, you will better understand what is meant by the various voodoo curses thrown at you to shame you into submission to their claims1.

NARRATIVES OF DARVO

The reason people around the world dislike Israel and its lobby is not due to an irrational hatred of a particular group.

The reason many women and men view the trans cult with revulsion is again due to the reality of this industry of human vandalism and not the product of a bigoted prejudice.

The reason for the demands for the reversal of mass migration is not the result of baseless hatred but the evidence of their now routine rape and murder of our men, women and children.

With racial crime statistics and the horrendous reality of the pathogenic male homosexualist lifestyle2 it is knowledge and not ignorance which produces a consensus of rejection of the Diversity Delusion.

In every case of so-called irrational hatred it is a matter of fact, not opinion, which shapes negative views of the actions of these groups at scale.

When the facts speak for themselves a subversive tactic is required to discredit them, and anyone who dares to defend the truth.

This demonises the normal and normalises the demonic effects of these sponsored demolition crews3.

The tactic deployed to do this is the presentation of the offender as victim, and the reframing of the victims, which include you and me, as the only problem to be solved.

TOXIC EFFECTS OF DARVO

The demonisation and criminalisation of people who have sane and normal objections to being routinely victimised has several toxic effects.

One is to label the truth as a liability carrying serious risks. Another is to normalise the permission of often criminal behaviour, providing an excuse for socially and morally destructive displays recast as rights-defending rebellion.

A further is to sublimate the outrage people feel at the universal injustice of the political economy which rules us, and is in fact degrading us all into a disposable product according to its own values and standards.

Finally, the use of DARVO labels everyone perceived to be a member of a grievance group as equally guilty of the reversal of victim and offender. This makes all members of the group equally culpable, as recognition grows that this is a technique used to designate normal and natural instincts against despicable actions as a sort of mental illness.

In time, DARVO groups therefore become extremely polarising, as by their existence they compel each individual to pick a side - theirs or that of the enemy, which is everyone outside their group.

The recruitment of “allies” whether paid, blackmailed or pressured magnifies the polarising power of these industries of discord.

If we do not recognise and reject the destructive designs of the DARVO mobs we will be consumed in a melting pot of mutual resentment which no amount of reasoned argument can ever cool down.

MASS DETRANSITION

The DARVO industry is one example of how the hearts and minds of people in the “free world” are mobilised into hysterical demands to destroy our civilisation.

I often advise you to consider those messaged into derangement by its sponsors as casualties of a war to define the terms and conditions of our inner and outer lives.

If you understand how this is achieved it is akin to understanding how a disease is transmitted. DARVO and the wider grievance industry is best understood as a sort of biowarfare in which we are turned into weapons against one another.

It is an example of the power of social contagion, which is the transmission of a diseased vector by means of communication. This is the reason for speech laws, censorship, censure and propaganda, because the saturation of the public mind with consistently managed messaging is essential to secure the optimal conditions for real life virality.

We are all to some degree infected by these weapons of mass psychological warfare. We have been transitioned into a pseudo-reality whose spell can and must be broken for the restoration of the dignity of our lives.

We who are recovering are faced with the task of leading a mass detransition of our friends present and future, so that we may once again be a people with a higher purpose than personal advantage at any social cost.

DETRANSITIONING FROM DARVO

Tell your friends and enemies about DARVO. Warn them that this trick is being played on us all, to replace reason with zelotic fury, making just and humane solutions to the crisis we inhabit not only impossible, but unthinkable.

DARVO produces a disgust for evidence in the infected. It makes hostility to the facts a virtue, and fuses the emotional and spiritual purpose of its subjects to the objectives of the ruling elite. This technique is deeply evil, as it places in the mark a missionary zeal to pursue and defend destructive actions without limit.

Remember that a practical definition of evil is a principle which destroys - whether at the level of the State or that of the Self.

What we desperately need is a recognition of the basic facts of reality on which to build a future politics and economics which promotes human flourishing.

We cannot have a political economy of the Common Good if we have nothing in common.

The function of the DARVO factions is to make a life worth living unimaginable. Their presence makes an absence of the real victims of every crime committed by policy against us all, for our entire lives. DARVO is a corrupt cop living rent free in your head which prosecutes your instinct against evil.

We cannot do better than this obscene regime if we cannot permit ourselves to perceive basic facts about reality. If our best instincts are silenced by ourselves, our collective victimisation will be so complete as to become the only norm we ever knew.

This leads to a world of internalised algorithms, censoring us into subjection with no power to object.

The counter-revolution must begin within ourselves, as home is where the heart is, and its recapture with our minds is now a matter of life or death.

I will offer some more practical tactics to survive and recover from this war on our civilisation in future.

Restore Britain have broken out of the containment trap which has prevented any alternative to business as usual being offered in British elections.

This is one obvious result of coming third in the Makerfield byelection - and there is another which has strategic value in our national effort to save the nation.

This is the fact that the British people are now taking a long hard look at what is behind the Reform brand.

As we shall see here, support for Reform UK is a matter of make-belief, and the facts behind that matter are so damning that their claim to be capable of leading the country cannot be taken seriously.

Reform UK is an act - whose players will not act in the National Interest.

The Populist Bubble Bursts

Populism is not a politics. It is a counter-Liberal spasm.

This means parties like Reform UK simply coast on the popular disaffection with Business As Usual under the forced consensus of our political system.

Populism is a big NO to All That.

This works as long as there is nothing else on offer. Now there is a party which says YES to Something Else. A party which clearly states what it is for, what it will do, why it will do it, how it will be done, and for what reason.

That party is .

This difference is profoundly significant. The presence of Restore Britain at the national level offers the British people a real alternative at a time of national crisis. This crisis is so severe - existential in fact - that a populist protest vote against the establishment is not sufficient.

The reason the Reform UK bubble is bursting is because Restore Britain offer voters what they think they will get from Reform UK. Support for Reform is pure make-belief: by simply not being the Labour or Conservative Party, the belief is made by default that Reform are a genuine hope to save the nation from their disastrous agenda.

From now on, attention will be directed on what - and who - Reform UK are really for.

This will kill the brand, as what is in the box is not what Reform’s supporters think they are buying.

NIGEL MIRAGE

I like to call Nigel Farage this for good reason. He appears like a shimmering promise of survival in a desert forlorn of hope. When you approach him, however, the promise he and his party presents turns out to be an illusion.

Just like the party he leads, Nigel is not what his voters wish he is.

He is a populist fiction, and behind that veneer of disaffection blended with rebellious hope he leads a party whose motives, leadership and dubious integrity present serious questions about their commitment to the National Interest.

Reform UK - Servants to The Lobby

Reform UK is wedded to the Israel Lobby. If you do not know why this matters, consider that the largest Israel lobby group in Europe is Conservative Friends of Israel1.

The second largest is Labour Friends of Israel.

Perhaps the newly minted Reform Friends of Israel will eclipse them both, as support migrates to the new hope of machine politics in Britain.

Whether you like Israel or not, it is obvious that allegiance to Israel is not in the British National Interest.

This unhealthy interest in the national interest of a foreign nation is not a strategic asset to anyone. Just ask the United States government.

In fact, being openly pro-Israel is now an albatross around the neck of any public figure still sufficiently captured to display themselves as such. This is simply a fact, rather than an opinion, as the actions of Israel have toxified the brand beyond recovery. As the consequences of Israel’s latest war continue to undermine our economy, Reform’s capture by its lobby will become a political liability.

They are selling Britain out to a strategic failure.

A STRATEGIC LIABILITY

What does it say about the political instincts of a party seeking a “deepening commitment” to Israel at a time when Israel is becoming a pariah on the world stage? What could motivate such a commitment to a strategic liability in the teeth of basic political common sense?

Israel’s lobby remains in place, but its power has become a political liability. Israel’s actions have led the US to a strategic defeat in the Middle East, have had a serious impact on the global economy, and the fallout will continue to cascade with era-defining economic and geopolitical consequences.

What does it say about the political instincts of Reform UK that they would hitch the fortunes of our nation to this sinking ship?

If you do not care about Israel’s actions abroad, which include serious crimes against Christians in the birthplace of Christianity, I would ask you to consider what sort of British patriot can in good conscience support a nation declared independent after a campaign of criminal violence against we British?

Reform - Israel First?

Regime change wars urged by Israel have driven mass migration into Britain and the West to record levels. The regime that has changed most in the past four decades of the Oded Yinon Plan is our own.

Why do Reform UK support a foreign power whose constant wars fuel our demographic replacement?

Reform’s deputy leader Richard Tice visited Israel in September 2025 and met the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Israeli President Isaac Herzog2. Whilst he was there, he pledged Reform UK’s “unwavering support” for Israel - promising that Britain would follow Israel into international diplomatic isolation should Reform UK come to power.

Tice wanted the RAF to bomb Iran for Israel - urging Britain to be dragged into yet another war that is not in our national interest.

Suella Braverman was the Chair of Conservative Friends of Israel from 2024. She was paid over £27 000 that year by an Israel lobby group and took a four day trip to Israel. Her husband Rael Braverman is Jewish, has lived in Israel, and Braverman claims she has “family members” in the IDF, which was founded in part by members of terrorist groups which attacked and killed we British in the Mandate of Palestine.

Robert Jenrick wanted to display the “Star of David” at British ports of entry. When he stood for leader of the Conservative Party, the MP Alan Duncan said Jenrick could not be permitted to lead the country as he “took his script directly from Israel”. He has accepted significant donations from “family friend” Idan Ofer, an Israeli arms dealer who supplies Israel with weapons.

Jenrick’s wife is an Israeli. Jenrick describes himself as the father of a Jewish family and is raising his three daughters in the Jewish religion.

Nigel Farage strongly supported Israel’s war on Iran, which has provoked a strategic and international disaster whose limits are still not currently defined, and whose impact on our economy will see his robust support for a war which has seriously undermined it come back to haunt him.

This is a clear instance of a complete disregard for the strategic National Interest of Britain in favour of those of a foreign and unarguably hostile power.

Jason Pearlman is the head of Reform Friends of Israel. Pearlman, who in April 2026 still lived in Israel, is the former media adviser to the Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

Pearlman is one of three pro-Israel figures with prominent roles in Reform. Another is former UKIP Leader Lois Perry, strategic director of Reform Friends of Israel.

Perry recently repeated the Israeli atrocity propaganda lie that “burned and beheaded babies” were found on October 7th - a claim invented by Eli Beer to make money, and debunked by Israeli investigative journalists by the 8th of November, 2023.

A third is Alan Mendoza, Reform’s chief global affairs adviser. As Declassified reported in April 2026:

“Less well known is that Mendoza is also president of the Jewish National Fund (JNF UK), a British charity that lists Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as an honorary patron – and has reportedly given £1m to Israel’s “largest militia“.

Finally, Lee Anderson, who was once endorsed by Lois Perry, has been staunchly pro-Israel for years, and was paid £3 300 in 2022 to take a Tice Tour of Israel.

COUNTER-JIHAD - NOT REMIGRATION

Reform UK’s migration rhetoric is largely confined to criticism of Islam, ignoring the wider demographic replacement of mass migration.

This position is explained by their close alignment with the Grand Strategy of Israel, which is to sponsor nations like Britain to mirror Israel’s domestic policies3.

This “counter-jihad” mentality is a product of foreign influence, as though there is clearly a problem with importing Islam and its customs into our home nations, it is obviously one of many arising from intentional demographic replacement which Reform refuse to reverse.

The sane and humane solution is to send these people home to avoid more rape, murder and strife. Yet instead, Reform UK support a foreign state which prefers forever war, genocide and state terrorism - and whose failed grand strategy threatens to bankrupt us all, morally and financially.

What kind of future does this promise for our children? I do not want to live in Gaza, but in the Britain I knew as a boy.

Reform UK will do nothing to restore that Britain.

Nigel Farage said the mass deportations necessary to maintain order and preserve the future of our people are “impossible”.

Richard Tice has said he does not care we are going to be replaced, as he will be “long gone” by then. Self interest and foreign interests are on display on the Reform front bench - to the obvious detriment of the interest of our nation and our people.

Reform UK farm anti-Islam sentiment whilst promising to do nothing. They did not take part in The Rape Gang Inquiry which was funded and undertaken by and its supporters, and which found that over 90% of the men who have raped our children for decades are moslems.

Reform UK refuses to address the root causes of the politics of national suicide which have reduced our children - and women - to products to be consumed by the savage lusts of predatory foreigners.

If you are interested in national survival Reform UK is not for you.

The Fatal Interest

This is not a superficial matter of lobbying Reform UK by a single foreign power.

This graphic illustrates a network of Israel-aligned politicians and powerbrokers, including the leading members of Reform UK, who accepted patronage and funding from organisations such as the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC).

MCC was bankrolled by the foreign government of Viktor Orban’s Hungary - noted for its strongly pro-Israel brand of “conservatism”.

Again, this is not a matter of whether you like Viktor Orban or not. Orban’s pro-family, counter-globalist Fidesz had many commendable policies. The fact of the matter is not preference - but patronage of British politicians by a foreign power.

Reform’s Matt Goodwin was a “visiting fellow” of the MCC - a position which typically paid up to 10 000 euros a month. James Orr, Reform UK policy chief, is reported to occupy several positions funded by this foreign network.

The integration of GB News into this network explains why they refuse to allow Rupert Lowe to speak live, and unedited, on their programmes.4

With the defeat of Viktor Orban this funding and influence network is now bankrupt. Aside from the acceptance of sponsorship from another foreign power, what does this say about the capability of Reform UK to be trusted with long term strategic planning in the British National Interest?

Reform UK is not a radical change from machine politics on the make.

It is business as usual with anti-establishment branding.

This is precisely the sort of international influence peddling which has captured our establishment and delivered us into the ruinous State we are in today.

Not Good Enough

Nigel Mirage’s wide boy image and the Dubai mentality of his associates - like Tice, his paramour Isabel Oakeshott, and the recently recruited Ant Middleton - speak of a party culture of personal profit seeking and self-interested opportunism.

Farage himself seems unserious about leading the country, and may not even continue as leader as the Reform brand falters into buyer’s remorse.

This is not good enough.

What is needed is a robust sense of duty with the inflexible dedication to service and sacrifice sufficient to inspire a National Effort to save the nation.

Without a higher sense of purpose than the self our nation cannot survive.

The Cringe Factor

The increased attention on what and who Reform are for is revealing another awkward fact: Reform UK is cringe.

Matt Goodwin, derided as MattGPT for his latest attempt on the literary life of the nation, is genuinely hard to watch.

Goodwin pops up like an Alan Partridge rehabilitated beyond his capability to convince anyone he is not a practical joke played at his own expense.

His unfortunate surname seems a sort of epitaph in advance, as he appears doomed to lose badly.

Mike Graham is a staunch Reform footsoldier incapable of marching past a Greggs. Mr Philip Kiszely, packaged as a Serious Thinker, acted like a man possessed when his sacred view of Israel was profaned by some basic facts.

These people are easily triggered, and have resorted to the same kind of voodoo curses which were thrown at Reform UK - “racist”, “antisemite” - etcetera.

In hindsight it appears this was done to the Reform brand to legitimise what is obviously a containment vehicle of popular discontent.

Calling Nigel’s latest caper edgy names positioned the utterly captured Reform UK as a seemingly-dangerous outlet for public outrage which in fact presents no danger whatsoever to the political economy which is ruining all our lives.

DON’T GET BURNED AGAIN

Reform UK are a flash in the pan, into which many of us jumped to escape the fire. As their supporters realise they are simply going to be cooked by a different implement, they will naturally prefer not to be burned again.

The result of the Makerfield byelection is that Reform will now be found out. This will lead to the perception that Reform were the future, once. This is the end of the Reform Surge.

It has stalled, and so the coughing engine of the party machine must now consolidate its position. I believe it will struggle to reconcile its policies with its increasingly disillusioned supporters, and internal ambitions and agendas will provoke a power-seeking turmoil which will prove difficult to conceal.

The easy ride is over, as the Teal Wave has broken. We are all now going into the Deep Blue Yonder of Restore or we go into the ground.

There were many good people who joined Reform UK. Some of those are already in Restore.

Many more will follow them, and for the same reason - they now have an offer which they cannot refuse, rather than one to which there is no alternative. Rupert Lowe has made that alternative a reality - not a mere illusion to disappoint our desperate people.

Thanks to Rupert Lowe, Britain now has a better offer than Nigel’s Mirage.

To refuse the offer of is to abandon the only hope of a political solution to the National Emergency.

Serious times demand serious measures.

Reform UK have rebranded themselves as a football team.

The life of the nation is at stake, and this cannot be trusted to a bunch of highly paid players on the take and on transfer from Team Boriswave and Lockdown FC5.

In the coming weeks to months the British people will suffer more because of Israel’s war, and will understand more of how the replacement of our people and our traditions is a product of the replacement of the national interest with international interests.

It is always fatal to powerbroking charlatans when ordinary people take an interest in politics. We live in a time when no one can afford to remain ignorant of how and why they are being ruled into extinction.

THE GREAT DETRANSITION

This is the Great Detransition, in which we all realise that a name does not say a thing into being.

Reform UK identify as something they are not.

They are the Dame in our pantomime politics, playing against the villain for automatic applause.

Deportations are not impossible. Immigration is not our strength6. We British are a people - not a picture on a postcard or a passport to be traded away for likes in the digital news cycle.

Restore Britain offers a serious politics of national restoration. It is not a collage of populist fantasies presented by career politicians, delivering messages from their sponsors as salvation.

Restore Britain is leading a National Detransition - from the insane and destructive mass delusions of the forced liberal consensus, from the doom-loop economics of dependence, from the politics of national suicide, and from the reliance on shady networks of international interests which put those of the British people last.

Britain does not need Reform - it needs a counter-revolution.

We must and we shall for the sake of our children and the future of our people.

What with all the heavy weather I thought some beauty would make a welcome change.

Here is a piece about the England that still lives. It is about history and home and what it is to be from somewhere. It is a sort of postcard from a happy place.

It features another Englishman called Rupert whose story tells us much about the land that I call home.

The first bit is about people, the second about place, the third about poetry.

SOMEWHERE PEOPLE

I am the sort of person who loves adventure but grumbles about airports. This means we go on holiday in England, that place outside the cities which can seem to a screen based perception of the country as alien as a night without sirens in London.

Holidaying in England allows us to be among people from a somewhere that we recognise, to answer in ourselves the call of home that has grown so faint.

It is a surprise to remember in this international nowhereland that there are still people who are from somewhere. People such as Northerners, like me, who can map a man by his accent.

This bat-like (and batty) talent is like echolocation but more for the purpose of insult and pillage than navigation. It helps to put a place to a voice, and therefore to a face. We know where - and who - we are. And we also know who we are not.

If you are from somewhere you either talk like it or you don’t. I do, because I am a serf, whose ancestors are more likely to be found spilling out of a drakkar on to a frosty beach, brewing beer and singing jolly songs, peopling the ranks of our army.

Truants, talesmiths and alehouse brawlers, fishermen and chatty lasses. Some of our names are on the wall at Thiepval1.

On the other hand there are people who are from somewhere but who don’t talk like it. These people are either:

2. Posh

3. Foreign

THE GREAT ESCAPE

I know a lawyer who once was a scouser, an idiom which his fancy university has patiently aetherised upon its examination table.

The middle class counterjumper is careful to erase his identity and the handicap it would have been. Careers are all theatre to some degree, the law being obviously performative.

To the Nowhere People, the career is the portal to a world away from the one which bore them. In this Great Escape, nowhere is always better than somewhere. It is the from, not the “to”, which matters.

They are eager to escape what they are, and favour the anonymity of cities, their Utopia. Better a tourist attraction than a landscape, for the land is that from which we spring, and to escape it is the desire of a man who prefers a resort.

It is the spirit of the supermarket.

The time is coming when the nowhere people, once careful to efface their origins in aping their tutors, will affect the kind of accents they used to be so careful to expunge.

The Posh, surprisingly, are always with us. They have retired from the public eye, no longer zooming through our imaginations, literature and screens like Mr Toad. I have always considered Toad to be an exemplar in matters of the road, and it is to him I owe my driving motto - “Victory or Nothing”.

Finally there are foreigners. I will pass over them in silence.

FANCY WORDS FOR FANCY PEOPLE

It is a relief to meet someone like Rupert Thistlethwayte who is not pretending to be anyone else. His career is to be himself. Whilst I was at his place I tramped out in my wellies to chop up some wood. This was needless but made me feel like the kind of person I ought to be.

I found him by the woodstore and began to inflict myself upon him with enthusiasm.

He patiently endured me. When I had worked something up I signed at his big old house and said,

But YOU - you’re autochthonous2. Sprung from the earth. The modern world is rootless and here you are. Here you and yours always were. What a thing it is to belong so much today.

I enjoyed pointing up at him. It is a sort of revenge for those nostrils of his. Norman nostrils, neat as apple pips, into which the timorous eyes of my stunted ancestors would have been compelled to stare3.

BACK TO THE TUDORS

Rupert’s family have been at Cadhay since the 16th Century. Built in 1550 by John Haydon, it is arranged around a central Court of the Sovereigns, displaying likenesses of Edward VI, Henry VIII, Mary and Elizabeth Tudor.

Robert Haydon, John’s nephew, added the long gallery. His wife, Joan Poulett4, is Rupert’s ancestor.

For nearly five hundred years Cadhay has seen near ruin and renewal, its permanence and renascence a retort to the evanescent culture of the portable screen. It embodies the kind of historical memory which competes with the perpetual immediate as an explanation of the world.

Rupert, having no alternative, looks down on me as I wander up to the roof chamber. It is a room which all but summons the gloomy face of Rylance doing Thomas Cromwell.

Wolf Hall has been adapted by the BBC in one of the best productions of modern television. It is outstanding, and happily a second series has been completed. Based on the books by the late Hilary Mantel, the series documents the relationship of Privy Councillor Thomas Cromwell to the then King Henry VIII.

I said to Rupert that I expected to see Rylance peering out of the penumbra of the roof chamber, and he plainly replied,

Well Hilary did some of her publicity here.

He said this with the modest omission of the fact that the real Privy Councillor to the Tudors dined here. It is natural then to learn Rupert helped Hilary Mantel with some of the historical detail in her sequel to Wolf Hall, titled Bring Up The Bodies5.

The history of the main house at Cadhay is too rich to bear relation here. So is that of Rupert’s family, which includes the improbable but true story of Mary Reibey.

A distant ancestor, she was arrested for stealing a horse in 1791. Disguised as a boy at the time, on the discovery that she was a woman she was sentenced not to death, but transportation to Australia.

This horse thief became immensely wealthy and the Bank of New South Wales was founded in her house. She is featured on the Australian $20 dollar note to this day, and it is her fortune, bequeathed to the Pouletts, which allowed the family to buy back Cadhay after it being out of the family for two centuries.

Rupert was born there, by the back door. He grew up in the house being “ a sorry old place…festooned with cobwebs.” Later on, it passed to him.

Why was this place not dissolved by the ruin of inheritance tax?

It is permitted to hold on to the family home by opening it to the public, whilst Rupert pays for the considerable costs of its upkeep. It is thanks to him that this little heart of England still beats.

A GARDEN OF ENGLAND

Outside, the grounds and buildings are a delight. You can stay in the former stables, or the old cider press.

Even the main house can be rented, year round. You will find in many of the rooms examples of the exceptional furniture which, I am told, Rupert may still be persuaded to make.

It is a privilege to be here, because it is astonishing that something this beautiful has survived into this century of ugliness and resentment.

Rupert’s strenuous efforts to restore and revive this home and hearth of England have fructified into a tender welcome.

An invitational treasure, Cadhay breathes with heritage, worn with a natural ease, as if the summer itself were made for it to shine.

I have warned him that if he does not price me out6, I will be back every year to wear the seasoned livery of England in these grounds.

There is another flourish outside with the splendid allotments. You often can see Rupert pottering about them, as the locals come and tend their plots. In the height of summer, it is a splendid place of fruits and blossoms and butterflies.

We come here for the beauty, for the splendour of a place that is and has always been a home.

WHAT WILL SURVIVE OF US

Ben Jonson, who was born when Cadhay was in its twenties, wrote the famous poem To Penshurst in 1616.

It is a paean to a house that speaks gently of the heart and soul of England. Had he come to Devon, he would have written it to Cadhay.

I cannot help to think in these terrible times of the plangent lines of another poem, too, in which the power of memory in stone suggests the survival of the best of what we are.

That poem, An Arundel Tomb by Philip Larkin, is shaded by the poet’s English gloom. It speaks of a gesture captured in the carved tomb of an earl and a countess at Arundel Cathedral. How surprised was the poet that

One sees, with a sharp tender shock,   

His hand withdrawn, holding her hand.

He says this captures a moment overlooked in life, but immortalised in art. It is the substance of memory now, at once real and not.

“The stone fidelity

They hardly meant has come to be

Their final blazon, and to prove

Our almost-instinct almost true:

What will survive of us is love.”

There is something of this accident in all of us. Ours is a time where the question of what will survive is an urgent one.

Cadhay is a monument to the hazard and the hope of life. In a world turned away from the heart and the hand it moves, there is beauty, there is love. There is a sense of before that shapes what is before us.

There is still a place called home.

Rupert has not paid me for this, and though it pains me to say so about one so unapologetically tall, he is a decent man. I wrote this because his place is wonderful and he a rather interesting fellow.

As a result I have been rather busy. In place of a fresh essay today I am reposting this explanation of Liberal Democracy - showing how its failure now was presaged by its first collapse around a century ago.

This is one of the many significant facts about our history we are simply not supplied, which in turn demonstrates something of how we have been ruled.

ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS

We are living through the end of the liberal global regime. As I have explained in my forthcoming book, A Brief History of Liberal Democracy, this system was created after the violent revolution of the First World War.

Marketed with the brand name of liberation, it was a system of elite rule, internationally coordinated, whose power was secured through the use of mass culture to manufacture belief in itself.

One thing you do not know reveals how totally this power has reconstructed your idea of history. Liberal democracy failed, almost everywhere it was installed, a hundred years ago.

“Liberal democracy” is the God That Failed Twice.

LIBERAL DEMOCRACY - THE GOD THAT FAILED TWICE

The propaganda methods developed to persuade Americans to enter World War One were used to set up a system of rule by media - marketed as liberal democracy.

All across Europe, and as far away as South America and Japan, liberal democracies were created to replace the old world - with a New World Order.

What is remarkable is that most of them collapsed within a decade.

Germany’s liberal democracy lasted fourteen years in the Weimar Republic.

All over Europe, most of the new liberal democracies failed as well.

Introduced with universal suffrage and two-chamber systems involving liberal and leftwing parties, practically none survived - and those that did were frozen democracies - or in a perpetual state of turmoil.

Here is a brief list of nations whose brief experiment with liberal democracy collapsed around a hundred years ago.

Germany, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Italy, and Spain.

In addition, Portugal’s young democracy was ended by a coup in 1926. Sweden had ten governments between 1920 and 1932. Norway’s largest party - the Labour Party - joined the Soviet Comintern for four years (1919-23), and in Denmark the King dissolved the leftwing government in 1920.

Turkey’s new republic was a one party state.Liberal democracy in Greece lasted one year. Albania’s lasted eight, Bulgaria’s three, whilst Romania’s postwar “democratic experiment” lasted - shakily - until 1938.

Britain had no election for ten years between 1935 and 1945. Four million American workers went on strike in 1919.

Belgium’s postwar introduction of universal suffrage permanently destroyed its Catholic State, with liberals and socialists taking over, and separatist Flemish movements threatening the breakup of the nation.

In 1919, four soviets were set up in Germany, with Bolshevist insurrections continuing for four years. A six-hour Marxist republic briefly took power in Luxembourg in 1919.

A military coup in Spain in 1923 succeeding in halting the rise of Bolshevism - for a time. Bulgaria’s fledgling democracy was ended in 1923 by another military coup.

The majority of postwar liberal democracies descended into chaos and were swept away.

HYPERNORMALISATION UNDER LIBERALISM

This is an important lesson which recalls the title of Yurchak’s book

“Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More”

He was talking about The Last Soviet Generation. It is a title which could apply to our time, too. We too live in a system which we have been led to believe has no alternative in sight, and is the most perfect of all systems.

We too live in a time of hypernormalisation - the condition in which the state tells us everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds, whilst everything is getting worse, and there seems to be nothing the ruling elite will do to help us out of the state they have put us in.

This was the title of a documentary on this subject by the English cultural commentator Adam Curtis.

It helps to explain how the total propaganda system of liberal democracy is so successful it is invisible - because it is everywhere, and it has created everything we believe we know.

Until now.

What is happening now is that people are beginning to realise the world created to rule them is fake.

Despite its increasingly refined sophistication combined with new technologies of mass communication, it is now obvious to a growing number of people in the West that they have been living in an advertisement for a product that does not exist.

Reality is radicalising people against the liberal system. This reality, produced by the ever-more extreme policies of progress, is not the utopia we were promised.

We have been liberated into a nihilistic void. Chaos and total moral collapse surrounds us in reality, as the dream machine hums on in the palms of our hands. The appeal of the Black Mirror is waning.

The spell of the liberal system is broken, and so its impossible dream is over. It has been revealed as a nightmare.

BEFORE “LIBERAL DEMOCRACY”

Now is the time when people begin to remember - to ask questions about the gaps in the past - which lead us to discover that what we are not told about liberal democracy is in fact more revealing that what it tells us to believe about itself.

Most people do not know that until 1920 women did not vote in US elections, and it was largely after the first world war that “democracy” - in which everyone votes - was introduced across what would become the liberal global empire.

Readers of AJP Taylor will be aware that this top-down revolutionary destruction of the old order meant a massive and continued increase in the intrusion of the State into everyday life.

Taylor says that before the First World War an Englishman would see nothing of the state beyond his visit to the Post Office.

After liberal democracy came the education, health and legal bureaucracies which now govern the details of our procession from birth to death, increasingly through a series of different but similar light industrial sheds.

Passports - said to be a temporary measure - became permanent. In the US and Britain the Income Tax was raised and never really went down again.

The push for compulsory state education - why did the Rockefellers support fund and promote this - and why were they behind “women’s liberation”?

The late Aaron Russo explains in this video that Nicholas Rockefeller told him he was an idiot for believing that women were simply seeking equality in a process flowing from votes for women to entering the workplace and then to equal pay. Rockefeller allegedly told Russo there were two reasons his family helped found the feminist movement:

“We funded this movement to get more women into the workforce and now we can tax them and stimulate the economy.

We can control them in the offices, schools, and in life. We can break up the family structure and the government becomes the family structure.”

This is dismissed by online AI summaries as a “conspiracy theory”. Reports - such as from Inside Philanthropy show how the Rockefeller Foundation backed “women’s lib” in the 1970s.

This report shows 90 years of Rockefeller support for women’s “liberation”.

Of course, the CIA was involved. Leading US feminist Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset, as this 2015 article shows.

This is unsurprising, as the chief role of the CIA was arguably the waging of a propaganda war on Americans - and worldwide - to promote the political religion of the liberal-global system.

This I call “cultural production” - the sponsorship of all forms of mass culture to manufacture mass belief in the many cults of liberal progress.

One year after the creation of the CIA, George F Kennan authored a 1948 paper which mobilised all mass culture as a form of propaganda. The paper was called “On the Inauguration of Organised Political Warfare”.

In plain English what this means is the US - through the CIA - began to mobilise all forms of mass culture as form of political warfare, promoting social revolution at home and abroad through the sponsorship of rights campaigns, modern art, popular music, film, television and thought leaders.

This book details the Central Intelligence Agency’s covert and sometimes overt sponsorship of domestic and global cultural, social and intellectual movements during the Cold War.

HUMANITY AS A MANAGEMENT PROBLEM

The history of the century of sales is also the history of the rise of the managers.

As life is increasingly formalised by administrators, all the meaning and power of institutions such as the Church and the family, and our history and tradition, are gradually subsumed by the dictates of the lanyard class.

We are managed by apparatchiks today, whose status and livelihood depends on the structures which birthed them. This produces a sort of paralysis.. Now, and around a century ago.

Then, as now, liberal democracy was proven incapable of answering crisis.

By 1927 liberal democracies seemed incapable of solving the looming economic meltdown which would follow the Crash of 1929, to become the Great Depression.

None of these systems could counter the rising threat of bolshevism, which threatened the democracies of Germany, Spain, Italy and France with revolution.

Even England was said to be closer to Bolshevik revolution in the 1920s than at any other time. Strikes in 1919 were accompanied by a mutiny of British sailors in Russia, who demanded cooperation with the new Bolshevik regime.

Today, liberal democracy can only survive by demonising, banning and criminalising any parties with more popular policies than those of the ruling liberal elite - as is the case in France, Germany, Romania - and quite possibly Britain as well.

There are obvious moves towards a sort of digital tyranny - moves which Tony Blair said was necessary to “counter populism”.

THIS GOD IS NOW FAILING AGAIN

It is the liberal remnant in Europe which is pushing hardest to provoke an all out war with Russia - risking us all to save itself from extinction.

We can now see what Walter Lippman meant by his admission in 1919 that the “liberty” of liberal democracy is a “weapon and and advertisement”.

Women have been liberated from womanhood. Through the popular factions of hysteria promoted as progress, many people have been liberated from sanity. Children were memed into self mutilation, sexualised by erotic exhibitionists.

The liberal system has partnered with NGOs and has sponsored radicals to mobilise its population into factions - all declaring war on our formerly Christian civilisation.

Meanwhile, the one wage household has vanished. It is now an impossible dream for most to own a home, and having a family is simply unaffordable. Our nations are dissolved into currents of grievance and vengeance, racial, sexual and environmental, whose only common factor is they are all self destructive to the state, the family, and the individual alike.

The political religion of the liberal system has replaced the value of human life with price, and calls the demolition of everything “progress”.

As the product of a century of progressive social revolution comes into view, no one is buying this pitch anymore.

If you get the feeling you have been cheated, that is because you have been living in an advertisement all your life, for a product made out of false promises.

This is why fewer people worship the liberal idols every day. The state religion of liberal political beliefs is dying out.

The god that failed a century ago is failing again. Failing better.

This is an essay about the false god of Equality. I argue that the worship of false idols of the Revolution such as Equality are the inevitable result of a system of make belief which is hostile to reality.

That system is the Liberal system which has ruled us into a hell on earth, and ruled sanity and the mention of reality out of the question.

I begin with a mention of a play by a notorious pervert and criminal, whose immoral story functions as a fable for our times.

THE MORAL OF A DEGENERATE STORY

We live in degenerate times, and it so is often degenerate art which best holds the mirror up to life today. I have said this about De Sade, and will explain what I mean about his example later.

Today I will open with some words about another immoralist, whose work illustrates the debased human condition secured in the Liberal Revolution.

The criminal and homosexualist Jean Genet was lauded as a Saint by those who admire the Revolution and its aim of destroying all that was.

In 1956 Genet wrote a play called The Balcony. It is about power and performance.

Described as “one of the masterpieces of our times” by Martin Esslin, the play is set in a brothel, which is a microcosm of the state outside1.

The clients go there to dress up as powerful public figures. One character in the play is got up as the Chief of Police, another as the Bishop, a third as The General.

A revolution takes place outside and these three imposters present themselves to the public, from the balcony of the bordello. They are acclaimed as the real leaders of church, state and the army, and order is restored.

RULE BY FAKERY

Today we are ruled and schooled by imposters. They are costumed as our leaders and guardians, but they are in fact mere actors fronting a sordid business - just as in Genet’s play.

The State we are in is not just a performance. It is one which is served by the making of belief, and this involves the subtraction of the memory of what was.

When there is no past but the idea of it presented by the present, there is nothing to which to compare the performers and their performance. The play becomes reality, the spectacle all there is, all there ever was, all there could be. This is how disorder masquerades as order, imposture as reality, and it is how the memory of civilisation is extinguished and recalled.

We are at this point now, and the forced forgetting is becoming obvious. Nothing is real in this regime. Its money is debt, its elections change nothing, its religions of Church and State are advertisements for itself and its policies amount to a weapon of mass destruction. The police do not catch criminals, the army does not defend the borders, the church does not teach the religion of Christ but that of the so-called Liberal State.

We are living through the moral of a degenerate story. We are ruled by costumed depravities whose revolution has presented them as our legitimate leaders.

If we remember how they were put there, and why, the spell of the spectacle is broken, and all we see is a bunch of crooks in makeup.

UTOPIA - PROJECT ANTI-REALITY

In the political technique of the 20th century the extinction of memory is crucial to the security of the revolutionary power which is itself a performance.

It is called liberal democracy but it is in fact neither.

The Liberals believed in the rights of the individual in terms of personal liberty and property. This means we are to be free to say and act and live as we wish, provided we are harmless to others in doing so.

Harm has been redefined to include words some people dislike. Laws are made against disliking some people. Rather than defend the liberal right of the individual, liberal democracies limit the freedom of speech and action to permitted spheres.

This is inevitable, of course, as Man is not good enough to be free of restraint, his Liberal liberation imprisoning him in the snare of his desires2.

To to see evidence of this you must only look at the liberties he takes when he considers himself liberated from all meaningful morality.

Why do liberals believe theirs is the best of all possible worlds?

LIBERAL CHAUVINISM - A FATAL VANITY

The liberal system claims to be supreme because it tolerates all other systems and ideas, and is therefore an enlightened sort of perpetual equation, always including in itself the best of all possible factors.

This was the opinion of Sir Isaiah Berlin, the greatest champion of the liberal idea in the 20th century. He called this “value pluralism”, meaning we have in the liberal idea the understanding that values are not changeless and objectively good but are in fact a matter of perspective, and so the wisest system is the one which entertains them all.

On the other hand he identified a second type of liberalism. This is the rule by an elite which decides what is liberal and therefore best for everyone else - the ruled.

He called this despotism, meaning the rule of rulers who cannot be removed by political means. He was right about the second model, as this is what we have.

This ruling elite is not being removed by its pantomime elections. It is being expelled by reality. It is a fraudulent business model secured by false promises, made to the public to make the public believe in them.

We are ruled by bad actors who have all been found out.

The enemy which has defeated them is real. It is the real world degraded by their vanity and insanity, which is an invincible argument against even the most alluring of advertisements.

A Revolution Against Reality

The warnings about the liberal system were made before it was fully established. People with an interest in ideas could see where the spirit of Matthew Arnold was going to take the world - into chaos.

It may seem odd to talk about the importance of metaphysics when we try to understand what has happened to our world. Metaphysics is the attempt to describe the nature of reality and our being in it. As we shall see, we cannot understand where and how we went wrong without some knowledge of what right might be.

This is the reason Pope Leo XIII began with a robust defence of Christian philosophy. This was in the first of his nine famous encyclicals, known collectively as the Catholic Social Teaching, and published by Etienne Gilson in a book called The Church Speaks to the Modern World.

Many people today would laugh at the idea. What could the fusty old Church have to say about the digital age into which we have been liberated by our clever inventions in machines and political technique?

Well, the Church has been around for a long time, and in that time it has become a treasure house of practical and spiritual wisdom. This combination of the understanding of the higher purpose and basic reality of human being is gives the Church its unparalleled explanatory and predictive power. It is right because it is true, and it does not only claim to be so.

The explanation given by the Catholic metaphysics is to my knowledge the closest match in description of the nature of being and reality ever achieved in human history.

It is inevitable that a system of beliefs with no basis in reality and no recognition of the limits and changeless nature of human being would produce the pandemonium we inhabit today.

THE FALSE GOD OF EQUALITY

The Catholic Social Teaching is more than what its title suggests. It is a framework for a political economy. meaning it lays out what the economy and our politics should be for, and how it should go about it. What should money and power do according to the Church?

They should be organised to best promote human flourishing. This is called the Common Good, and it recognises rights and duties between capital and labour, as well as between the ruler and the ruled.

In the first of these nine encyclicals Pope Leo XIII insisted that the correct understanding about human nature and the reality we inhabit is vital to the just management of human affairs.

He added later that the false god of equality, if insituted as a political principle, would produce national and international disorder and result in a total moral collapse of society.

This is because Men are not and never will be equal in their capabilities, in their self-command, in the possession of the faculties to recognise and respect beauty, truth and the Divine, in the customs of their tribes which are their cultures, in their capacity for virtue and to conceive of good and of evil, and of course in their categorisation of what is real, and just and true.

To the wicked man wisdom appears as folly, humility as weakness.

The mad cult of equality has extinguished the recognition of Evil. For these reasons as for others it was condemned by the Church before the Revolution.

So the old Church with its old ways warned about the novelty and idolatry which helped to sell the New System, and explained why it would produce the effects we can all see around us today.

How could it do this? Remember, the Catholic Social Teaching was first published in the 1860s - over a century and a half ago.

EXPLANATORY POWER AND TRUTH

The remarkable explanatory power of these old words is a testament to the sound foundations on which they rested.

If your foundations are true, then what you predict will result is also likely to share the same correspondence to reality as the description you made of it in the first place.

Explanatory power translates directly to predictive power.

This demonstrates the argument of Aeterni Patris nicely3. It says that the metaphysics of Aristotle, Aquinas and Augustine give the closest possible correspondence in description to the nature of reality and being.

It says that this correct foundation is the basis of our judgement about who we are and what to do.

From this foundation the encyclicals go on to predict precisely what will happen under a system which replaces this all with make belief, made up to make people believe in this new system.

The results have been the same as were predicted. Today, people in the West argue about what a woman is. A woman got up as an Archbishop pretends not only to be an Archbishop but also a Christian spiritual leader. Gay men buying babies impersonate postpartum mothers in photographs.

Many politicians in the West defend the preposterous idea that paperwork and mimicry can make anyone Welsh or German or Irish.

Finally, the Market Worshippers conveniently ignore the fact that the numbers on their charts no longer correspond to the real cost of real things.

Our lives are directed and described by symbols which in fact contradict the reality they purport to represent. The price of everything is going up, whilst the value of everything rapidly declines. The shrinkflation of every dimension of our lives is marketed and managed by the sale of images attached to hopes and dreams and fond memories.

These are the brands that brand us on our way into the slaughterhouse.

THE DANGER OF FALSE EQUIVALENCE

Equality is dangerous, as it displaces difference with likeness, and this sleight of mind is presented as wisdom. It is folly.

When men forget the habit of noticing basic difference they can be taken for fools, and they are. One thing being unlike another is obvious, of course, until we attach consequences to the noticing of such things.

And so equality is revealed as a blunt instrument of a political power which says it despises the use of force to secure compliance.

Equality equalises sense with nonsense, fantasy with reality, fools with the wise, lies with the truth and madness with civilisation. The moral inversion of our times is another example, in which practically every vice is now virtuously defended, or even celebrated.

The difference between black and white is obvious, and not only in appearance. There are essential differences between people and peoples, and the recognition of this fact is the basis of sound judgment4. This is prohibited today, and so none of the problems of discord arising from the replacement of order with disorder can even be honestly described, making any civilised resolution impossible.

This is a shocking thing to say because it is obvious. If it does shock you, ask why the obvious is shocking to mention.

Whereof we cannot speak, the facts do not remain silent.

You cannot censor reality, you can only penalise people who point it out.

Today, reality is becoming so obvious that attempts to contain it by penalties and propaganda are insufficient. This means that a power secured by the policing and production of mass belief is in its terminal crisis. The war on reality is not yet over, but it has certainly been lost.

Now we shall count the cost, as the curtain comes down and the imposters leave the stage.

We can all see who is now standing on the balcony of the bordello, and we shall no longer accept the rule of vile imposters in costume, reading out a script before a backdrop of obscene corruption.

This is a long essay to explain something of the revolutionary political technique of the 20th century, showing how it has mobilised desire without restraint within us all to destroy what we were, and leave us in the State (and Church) we are in today.

THE MEANS OF REVOLUTION

The means of revolution are many, and taken together they represent its technique. We have lived through a time which has seen everything in our world changed, and changed utterly, and this new normal has normalised radical change in every aspect of our lives.

In every case, from the changes in the Church to those in our economy, through demographic and social changes, the first people to notice these upheavals are dismissed as cranks, conspiracy theorists - and demonised as extremists.

The canaries in the coalmine are called nasty names, and penalties attached to anyone who fairly names their tune.

This neutralises opposition to the changes taking place, without or even against popular consent, until they have reached a stage when they seem not to be changes at all, but the New Normal. Then men forget what was, and believe, as they are apt to do, in what is put before them to believe in.

This is how the revolution is secured in our time, by a sort of collective suffocation.

Revolutions do not always succeed, and sometimes they fail because the zealots who carry them out mistakenly believe they have succeeded.

These revolutionaries become intoxicated by their success so far, and lose the recognition of any limit to their freedom of action.

OPEN REVOLT

There always comes a crucial moment when the containment of opposition gives way to the open celebration of the revolt.

This is when the revolutionaries feel confident they can announce their aims instead of simply persecuting the few people sufficiently bold to oppose them, and risk naming them in public.

That time is now.

At such a time the revolution becomes so obvious it is impossible to deny, and those marginalised for noticing the normalisation of the new are vindicated by the realisation that the change they warned would come has arrived. It is a polarising moment which tests the real power of the revolution, as its open declaration forces a choice in the population. The question is no longer whether there is and has been a revolution.

The question is simply are we for or against it?

THE REVOLUTION IN CHURCH AND STATE

This is the moment in the crisis in Church and State we inhabit. We are faced by something that seeks to replace everything with itself. To do this, it must undermine and assimilate all the institutions, ideas, beliefs and culture which hamper its ambitions to standardise the world under its own standards.

This is the reason the family is managed into decline, why the nation is replaced by a market, and the world remade as a borderless bazaar of bargain hunters.

It is also the reason why the Catholic Church, bulwark of sane tradition and hammer of the revolution, is the subject of a diabolical process to replace its religion with that of the State of the Great Replacement.

WHY THE CHURCH MATTERS TO YOU

These dramatic words can be expected from an extremist such as myself. I am precisely the sort of person who is dismissed as a marginal crank for my steadfast defence of sanity against the trans-sane transition of the 20th century and its cult of false beliefs.

As this essay shows, I am far from alone in this respect nowadays, and especially concerning my concerns about the Church.

Why should you care about that?

The Catholic religion, as with Christianity generally, has been systematically framed as a sort of embarassing anachronism whose irrational beliefs restrict our lives to its own ridiculous rule set.

This is the Progressive view of the religion which founded our civilisation.

If you are against the false idols of the century of sales, if you rightfully reject the madness that is Liberalism and think life should mean more than being consumed in an economy which makes everything - even you and your life - disposable and cheap, then you might see why you should care about the fact the revolution has come for the Church.

THE DEADLY PLAGUE OF LIBERATION

In 1878 Pope Leo XIII warned of a “deadly plague” ravaging Mankind.

This pestilence was exceptionally dangerous, because it spread not in the bodies but in the beliefs of Men, and its vector was the promise of Liberation.

Today we live in the ruins of our civilisation. It has been levelled down in successive acts of ideological zealotry. This is the cult of the false idol of Equality. It is as revered in Marxism as it is in market worship.

If we look closer, we can see why insane minority political cults have partnered so well with the equally false promises of the customer being always right - no matter the wrongs done to and indeed by them in the process of consumption.

CONSUMER/COMMUNIST NIHILISM

The seventh encyclical of the Catholic Social Teaching showed why the Church condemned the nihilism of Socialism and Communism.

It also condemned the reduction of the value of life to price in what would become consumer liberalism - a closed electoral system preaching openness, secured by the delimiting of Man’s desires into a mass-produced line of cheap consumer products.

These products include our food, our holidays, our clothes, entertainment, education, framing our hopes, dreams and aspirations and furnishing our minds with beliefs about ourselves and the world.

The result is we are consumed over time by the economic system which produces our politics and in turn a mass culture which shapes us towards its own ends - which are its own profit and power.

When the Liberal revolution seemed to have triumphed in 1989, Francis Fukuyama pronounced the End of History and the Last Man, saying all time had produced a verdict of victory for a system of cheap consumer goods plus periodic elections.

Even Marxists such as Herbert Marcuse have noticed that this was a trap, and they called it “repressive desublimation” - meaning the removal of moral restraint, channeled into the consumption of mass produced objects and fantasies of desire, is a form of repressive political control expressed through the organisation and sale of the economy itself.

Fukuyama said the Last Man would struggle to free himself from consumer liberalism, saying this would be driven by sheer boredom.

You cannot blame Man for going mad when his life is nothing more than a sterilised series of shops and slop. This is no mere tedium. It is a behavioural sink we are desperate to escape alive.

THIS WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT

If you understand the technique of revolution, and how it is applied to mobilise belief and desire towards the realisation of its own power, you can predict how it will be sold to the people, and what will happen from its beginning to its inevitable and chaotic end.

This is what Leo XIII did in his Catholic Social Teachings.

Leo XIII understood the nascent technique of this terrible century, and said it would produce social and moral collapse, according to its designs.

If you cannot believe in God, you will probably find it astonishing that anyone could come up with such a profound assessment of the causes of the crisis we inhabit than is set out in these nine encyclicals.

There are other reasons for the Godless to seriously consider what happens when Man tries to do away with Him.

Ultimately, all revolution is a revolt against God, the world He made, its natural order and is therefore an impossible struggle to supplant the changeless nature of being and reality with the vainglorious fantasies of a discontented few.

These people believe in nothing but themselves, of course, and it is through the transmission of false promises that they secure popular consent. Promises like equality and liberation and an end to suffering - delivered by the invention of rights which normalise wrongs.

This is the replacement of sense with nonsense, and the fact these ideas are widespread today shows how men select their beliefs not for their truth value, but more commonly because seeing is believing, and these beliefs are all we are given to see today.

You can only buy what is on sale, and the brand of any competitor is devalued by the same process of advertising which promotes the product of the Market Leader.

THESE LIES THEY TELL

Why are the revolutionaries revolting at all?

They find reality revolting, and seek to replace it with something more to their own tastes. Namely, themselves. The Church says that God is sovereign, and that the inequality between men in capacity and power and rights of action is part of His creation, which cannot be changed.

Of course, whenever a revolution succeeds we see that those who secured power in the Name of the People proceed to rule them by means of it, because of course there are always rulers and ruled, and what revolutions do is simply replace one elite with another.

They also try to make the replacement of the ruling elite impossible. This is done these days by means of the creation of a consumer self, sold with the mirage of sensational wonders and the absolute freedom of desire1.

THE REVOLUTIONARY SELF

The 20th century has been described as the Century of the Self, as the sort of self that was invented by the elites which produced its political technique is the central myth of the sale of the revolution which tried to replace all that was with what there is now.

This self is a creation, and it was created in a machinery of the production of money and power which we can now recognise as a weapon of mass destruction.

The Modern Self is a sales pitch. All revolutions seek to remake Man in their own image, and the one we have endured is firstly an economic vision of the world as a marketplace of ideas and objects, which is how human beings are imagined from the point of view of this power: things which can be moved by putting other things into their hearts and minds.

The Grand Illusion of the 20th Century was the sale of nothing as a new and improved replacement for everything.

The religion of Christ is dissolved into a new cult of Modern Man, himself the product of an economic system which turns everything of value into price, shaping our desires only towards the products of this degrading transition.

What we are told and what we are sold by the Revolution are never what it does. For example, the liberation promised by liberal democracy is a conflict of rights, not a resolution, in which apparatchiks and minorities, often allied with international money power and ideological bureaucracies, effectively tyrannise the majority into compliance.

As Pope Leo XIII asked:

“Surely these are they who, as the sacred Scriptures testify, "Defile the flesh, despise dominion and blaspheme majesty ’”.

These nihilists “seek the overthrow of civil society everywhere”, he explained.

This is done through the worship of the false idol of Equality, he continues, by those who

“proclaim the absolute equality of all men in rights and duties”, because they “refuse obedience to the higher powers”.

THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Our beliefs are machined into us, to make us better components.

This degrades us morally, intellectually and spiritually. We are impoverished in every way, from the material to the matter of our vanishing historical memory. This is done by means of technique, presenting every subtraction of the value of our lives as progress.

Where does this evil business come from? Its origin is found a phrase from the book of Timothy in the Bible, commonly mistranslated as

“Money is the root of all evil”.

In the Latin, it says

“Radix enim omnium malorum est cupiditas quam quidam appetentes erraverunt a fide et inseruerunt se doloribus multis…”2

This means cupidity is the root of all evil. What is that?

Consider how the consumer economy works. It mobilises your desires, lusts, appetites, your love of self and the adulation of glamour. It creates crazes for things, if you like. The crazier we get, the more money it makes.

Now think about the sale of sexual liberation. It presents unrestrained orgasm-chasing as the pinnacle of emancipation. It has liberated women from motherhood and womanhood. It has presented the celebration of hypersexual extremism as a litmus test for being a Good Person.

Reject all this at your peril, as this madness forms part of the terms and conditions of your life, in a contract to which we did not consent, and which the Machine says we have no right to escape.

PUTTING EVIL INTO PRACTICE

Now you can see from these two simple examples how this technique works.

It removes restraint from human desire and maximises its production it for profit. This is extremely destructive to the person and to our (and any) people.

I encourage you to read the Catholic Social Teaching of Leo XIII as it explains clearly and precisely how sin is self-destructive, to the self and to the State.

Here is a passage from the seventh encyclical of those teachings. It explains how the corruption of the family by means of hypersexuality dissolves social bonds and moral discipline in a riot of self satisfaction.

“They debase the natural union of man and woman, which is held sacred even among barbarous peoples; and its bond, by which the family is chiefly held together, they weaken, or even deliver up to lust.”

Leo XIII then explains the radix malorum, quoting the passage from Timothy:

Lured, in fine, by the greed of present goods, which is “the root of all evils, which some coveting have erred from the faith,” they assail the right of property sanctioned by natural law; and by a scheme of horrible wickedness, while they seem desirous of caring for the needs and satisfying the desires of all men, they strive to seize and hold in common whatever has been acquired either by title of lawful inheritance, or by labor of brain and hands, or by thrift in one’s mode of life.”

This has happened to our world, in a combination of wars and social revolutions that swept away the economic, political and cultural order that existed before the Great War. That was and is our Christian civilisation.

Today, vast corporations push Rainbow Climate Race Bolshevism as they level us all down into degradation and dependency. How free does that make you feel?

We are not liberated by this “equality” but its wicked appeals leave us indentured to the wages of sin, which is death.

This is the rule of men by means of delimiting desire. Speaking against it is penalised.

Any attempt to remind men that they are not freed but imprisoned (and then destroyed) by total surrender to their desires is a threat to the false promise of Liberal liberation.

Yet the ruins around and within us speak a language that cannot be silenced by any man.

THE MACHINE IS BREAKING DOWN

The Machine that is our political economy has refined its technique over the century of sales.

It amounts to the manufacture and marketing of revolutionary replacement of all things as something novel and progressive, and then makes it seem normal. Finally, this Machine makes any alternative to itself literally unthinkable.

Its latest product line is remarkable for its honesty.

It is the open declaration of the revolution to replace us all, and all we had.

It is now clear that in Church and State we are ruled by corrupt factions who have traduced everything we were, for their own interests.

This product line may be its last, because when it is plainly obvious what we are being sold, we discover that we retain one devastating right in this degrading system, and that is the right not to buy what is on sale.

There is a sane and just world outside the marketed desires of this weapon of mass destruction. It is the real world which we were taught to despise, by a despicable machinery of false promises and progress.

This machine is breaking down. We must, and we will, do better.

There is a lot to say about lies and revolution and the destructive power of desire.

This play has a section in it called “These Lies They Tell”. It is a speech by the Marquis de Sade, and it is worth looking up here.

I have been described in rather invidious terms for my haircut, of all things, and so here is an essay about the significance of historical memory to the understanding of the State we are in.

It also contains an explanation for my hairstyle.

Memory and civilisation

Civilisation is a habit which can be forgotten. At times, it has been. Many of us are beginning to realise we live in such a time now.

The subtraction of the memory of our civilisation, what it was, how it was founded, what it meant and who made it, and how this erasure and replacement has remade us - is fundamental to the political technique of the 20th Century.

This means they take so much from you that you forget it was there in the first place. You forget what was, what we were, and all the beliefs supplied in the place of our shared tradition and identity are all that remains to believe in.

Many of us do not know what we have lost. The scale of this loss is breathtaking. To begin to investigate it is to open an inquiry into a crime so vast it has no name.

This crime is called “progress”. It is the reason for the morally inverted pseudo reality which we inhabit today, and which has been created to manufacture belief in a political economy which is in fact a weapon of mass destruction.

This is delivering us into a sort of hell on earth. Our condition in this progress to damnation can be described as purgatorial. Yet there is a way out of purgatory, and it goes up, not down. I will recommend here that looking back and remembering is a means of looking beyond the midst of modern life.

Today I will speak of the recivilising power of memory.

The Shocking Sight of an Englishman

To bring this to the personal level, this is why the sight of an Englishman is so shocking - and even offensive - to many people today.

To accommodate this appalling sight into some framework of meaning requires an equally shocking frame. I have been compared to and attached to Adolf Hitler for my problematic haircut and counter-Liberal views.

The Hitlerisation of anyone who objects to the politics of national suicide is a familiar trope. Where would these people be without Hitler? It is absurd, but also effective, as this prism has been supplied to refract a poisonous death ray into the image of anyone who dares to disagree with the prophets of “progress”.

I would like to offer an explanation for my haircut which does not fit into this insidious, malicious and rather hysterically directed device.

My haircut is that of an Englishman.

Lt. Col. Alfred Daniel Wintle MC

“I get down on my knees every night and thank God for making me an Englishman.

It is the greatest honour He could bestow.”

So said Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Daniel Wintle MC, devout Christian, fierce patriot, and unquestionable hero of both the First and Second Great Unpleasantness.

The men he commanded in the trenches of the Great War had undercuts like mine, to keep the lice off. You can see these haircuts in “Peaky Blinders”. They are English haircuts, mainly for the ranks1.

AD was a cavalry officer in two terrible wars.

I was a reservist in the infantry and as a part time soldier have no right to stand beside his outstanding example of gallantry and invincible Englishness.

AD was a valiant Christian soldier and the last officer to be locked up in the Tower of London.

AD’s life is an improbable record of extraordinary events which have secured his reputation as one of the greatest Englishmen of modern times, and perhaps ever to have lived.

Here is a picture of him with his wife, later in life. His hair has grown out a bit, but it is shaven at the sides and is parted in a manner likely to trigger the conditioned responses of the differently-saned2.

Why is the sight of a traditional Englishman so terrifying to these people?

We are not dead, for a start, though dear AD has indeed joined the majority.

It is alarming to the mad revolutionaries that we are still here, that we can remember who we are and recall the glorious deeds and exceptional character of the men who came before us.

It shakes them that we are not ashamed to be English. And Irish, and Welsh - and Scotch3.

In fact, we thank God that we are. Just like AD did.

WHERE IS MEMORY TO BE FOUND?

Civilisation is a matter of vigilance. Good needs its soldiers, too.

Not all battles are fought with bullets, however. The war on our civilisation requires a sort of soldiering which speaks to the centre of our selves, to what is in us yet outside of time.

The duty to defend our civilisation is a matter of remembering against a current which washes us into nothing.

The imagist poet Ezra Pound wrote a line about this in his insuperable Cantos.

“Dove sta’ memoria” asks Pound. Where is memory to be found?

The line recalls a love poem from the 13th century.

That poem is “Donna me prega” - “The Lady Asks Me”, by Guido Cavalcanti4.

It is beautiful. It is a song across time which pierces the heart.

In doing so, it sings beyond it, spearing our longing for love and meaning into the avenues of time, which was our time and our memory of it, to whisper of something timeless.

If you read that poem alongside another poem by Pound, you can see how he weaves the memory of our European civilisation into the making of his Cantos.

Pound’s Canto about memory and where it is to be found is also an account of corruption in a State of war.

The deliberate annihilation of our memory of who we are, of what we were, and of the fact there is a meaning to our being beyond the times we now inhabit and their degrading standards is a crime against the soul of our people.

REBALANCING OUR TIMES

This crime cannot be corrected with hatred. Injustice is an imbalance at heart, and to rebalance these times so out of joint requires a love beyond that of the self.

It is a love beyond the moment, a passion which is agonising as it is exquisite to suffer. It is the love of what has been taken from us all. It is this we must remember, so our civilisation can be restored.

Much of it is gone, but it is not forgotten. In this time of universal subtraction, simply and firmly refuse to go down. Stand up and raise your gaze beyond the mire. We were better than this rotten State, we still are. The reason we are so demoralised is because demoralisation is a part of how we are ruled.

When morale dies so does the effort.

Get up. Get out of the mud and look up. Never falter, do not be afraid.

Never give up, and never forget.

Together, we will remember our civilisation, and we shall not let the light go out in our time.

How to order your life

Life is a madhouse these days and it is hard to make sense of it.

This book is the best exegesis of the cause, effects and remedy to the omnicrisis of modern life I have ever read1.

If you are not a Catholic, if you are not a Christian, if you do not believe in God - hold your nose and try to read it.

It is the most remarkable summary of the errors in human thinking, morality, economic injustice and the abuse of State power I have seen.

It is the kind of book that educates you far beyond your expectations. It is challenging, but it is only when we try to do what we cannot, without fear of the inevitable failure, that we overcome our vain aversion to humiliation and learn.

As the Modern Church now speaks for and not to the world, have a look at what the Church said to the modern world as its “terrible beauty” was being born in the late 19th Century.

The Mad Cult of Liberalism

John Gray is the supreme critic of the Liberal idea. His “Seven Types of Atheism” isn’t really about that, though it does enumerate (and rather excoriate) what passes for the reflexive rejection of God these days.

Gray shows how an irrational cult belief in utopian progress and its false idols has replaced Christianity in a belief system so enchanting to its believers that they cannot recognise it is one.

A short book which will teach you more than you realised there was to know about the history of ideas.

The Myth of World War Two

The myths of the 20th century have been created to manufacture mass belief in the system which was reinstalled at its end - the liberal system we inhabit today.

AJP Taylor’s neglected Origins of the Second World War says there were no heroes at state level - only villains. His remarkable account of the war will undoubtedly revise your view of it, and what has been made up about it since.

I have this edition, which contains an introduction Taylor wrote for later editions. If you read nothing more of it, read that introduction. Stunning.

Practical wisdom

The nature of man is changeless and this is demonstrated in the work of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus and his mentor, Epictetus.

These two examples of what is called Stoicisim are full of practical advice at how to become less foolish and remain sane, whilst avoiding becoming a vain buffoon.

I have tried to be less bad for a long time and if you keep trying it works.

The Enchiridion is Epictetus’ “Manual” for life. He talks like a wise uncle you met last week. You will see parts of this and his other thoughts published as his Discourses.

The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius is a brief and bracing primer on the wisdom of self command. Very helpful in this febrile times, where everything we see is a sort of invitation to go insane for someone else’s profit.

How to read poetry

The best poet of the 20th century was Ezra Pound, who edited the work of the second best one, TS Eliot.

Pound’s ABC of Reading shows you, very simply, how to understand poetry and what it actually is.

He tells you poetry is song, the organisation of words on the page, and the throwing of images upon the mind. Poems are made, he says, and he explains how.

No book I have read has kindled the beauty of poetry in me like this one. A treasure, from a master of the art.

What is civilisation?

The liberal system is a revolution to replace our civilisation. It has failed, but in doing so it has replaced so much of our lives with itself that we struggle to remember what we have lost.

Kenneth Clark’s beautifully written and illustrated book is a wonderful account of what it is we have almost forgotten entirely. If you wish to understand the ruins which surround us, what they mean and where they come from, read his “Civilisation”.

The Counter-Revolution

As the rotten and often explicitly Satanic regime dissolves around us, we may wonder what it is we must do next - and how.

Joseph de Maistre lived through the French Revolution. His work is almost appalling to read these days, as it is the most vociferous and brutal appraisal of the limitations and changeless nature of man I have encountered.

If you read nothing more of his magisterial condemnation of the revolutionary idea and what it destroys in Man - as it falsely promises to liberate him - read his essay on The Executioner.

In a world driven mad by the revolutionary cult, De Maistre’s often hilarious diagnosis of the human condition comes as a profound shock.

Rather like plunging into a cold lake in summer, it is breathtaking to read De Maistre, but you feel electrified afterwards and full of vim. Brilliant.

Beauty Matters

Why beauty matters is a profound question, and the Four Quartets of TS Eliot are full of both.

I would highly recommend Eliot’s poetry, as Prufrock is an almost unbearable portrait of the predicament of modern man - for example. His Notes Towards the Definition of Culture are also outstanding, showing for instance that there is no limit to the depths into which Man may fall if guided by his own designs alone.

My personal favourite is Burnt Norton. It echoes Aristotle, speaks of the Still Point, the landmark of human history that is Christ, and the fact that “human kind cannot bear too much reality”. There is the laughter of children in it, and it will speak to you of the door we did not open in all the time we had.

If you can bear the awesome beauty of the ultimate reality, this is the poem for you.

The Mad Cult of Modern Man

Finally, the most comprehensive account of the insanity of our world today which is found in the Catechism of Modernism of Pope St Pius X.

It is about how a religion of mankind has been created, which drives the world mad. It shows who made it, why, and predicted the terrible effects of the institution of a diabolical political cult and its elevation to the status of religion.

No book I have read gives a better account of the deluded limitations of modern philosophy and its disastrous consequences for the human race than this one.

Reading this identified the false idols my education in school and by society had installed in my mind, and it instructed me why they were false with a degree of philosophical rigour I have seldom encountered2.

A masterpiece of practical and spiritual wisdom which is an essential guide to the evil system which rules us today. But not for much longer.

I will return to expand My Reading List as I will inevitably remember some gems I have left out, in that privately anguished way we all do after the fact.

THE STATE WE ARE IN

We find ourselves in a terrible State today.

How did this happen? Why did it happen? What, if anything, can be done to get us out of it?

For over a century we have been ruled into compliance with the liberal system.

The central technique of this system is the rule by media. It is effective because it uses not only the news and entertainment, but all forms of cultural production to make us believe in this system. That this is the only system we are permitted to believe in, and that it is creating the best of all possible worlds.

As we can see, this is not the reality it is has created around us.

The reason we do not know how we got into this dreadful State is because its political technique deliberately excludes anyone or anything which does not represent itself.

The crisis it has created is now terminal. As this system disintegrates around us, we have the opportunity to replace it.

In order to do so, we must know what this machine is, how it was made, and why.

This is the reason I have made this series. It will tell you the story of your life - of our lives - in a way which explains how that story was intentionally made, to make us all believe in a political economy which has functioned as a weapon of mass destruction on our entire civilisation.

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Episode one, which is published today, will talk about the elephant in the room.

The elephant is the total system we inhabit, which wrecks everything it touches.

There are legal and personal risks for naming the parts of this elephant - and much of our lives are now consumed by coping with the terrible effects of its rampage through the living room of our real lives.

This is why I wanted to show you what that elephant really is. It is a system we have been accultured to believe appeared naturally, as a result of some inexorable progress.

In reality, the Liberal system is a machine which was designed to standardise our lives, our beliefs, our entire world, according to its standards - and only to its standards.

We have lived all our lives through the permanent revolution it has made in every aspect of our lives - from our beliefs, our culture, our history, our religion, and the very meaning of them.

It has sought to replace everything with itself, and now it is falling apart.

THE COUNTER-REVOLUTION

In this series I will explain how the system which has ruled us into this permanent State of emergency is a revolutionary system. I will show how it was designed to replace the civilisation we inherited from monastic Christianity over a thousand years ago.

I will explain what civilisation is, where ours came from, and why and how the attempt to replace it with an internationalist machine was undertaken.

I will also show you how all the chaos, madness and corruption this machine has normalised was predicted over a century ago in some of the most valuable accounts of practical, political, and spiritual wisdom ever written down.

A REVOLUTION OF SUBTRACTION

We have been the subjects of an experiment, conducted on the scale of humanity, which has failed. In fact, Liberalism is the god that failed twice.

These facts, and many more, are absent from the story of our lives we have been told by a revolutionary ideology which is infused into every aspect of our modern world - and so it is invisible.

The myths of the 20th century no longer explain the world. They are bankrupt, like our nations, which are being replaced - along with our people - according to the aims of the international nowhereland we are told will be a utopia.

AGAINST THE SUICIDE MACHINE

This promise is a contradiction of the dire State of our lives today. That is one reason this system is disintegrating, now. It is dying of a lack of belief. Its mad wars abroad and chaotic social revolutions at home are dissolving our societies into anarchy. Decades of this has left us morally, financially and spiritually bankrupt.

The reason I have made this series is to explain that there is a revolution in the Church and State, and it is degrading all our lives. It promises the worship of Man whilst reducing him to a disposable component in a vast machinery with global ambitions. It has replaced the value of human life with price, and meaning with madness.

Our economy is a scam, and it consumes us in an array of debt-fuelled addiction economies. It has replaced knowledge with credentials bought on credit. We are increasinly ruled by humourless apparatchiks in lanyards, whose loyalty is paid for by our ever-increasing taxes. Our political economy is a large scale dependency culture on a death machine.

THIS WAS ALL BY DESIGN

This series of films will help you understand how we got into this mess. That it was no accident, but by design. And it will provide you with practical solutions - not merely complain about effects, but explain the causes.

We can and must do better than the politics of national and spiritual suicide. We can have an economy and a politics that is for us, for human flourishing. We can have a political economy of the Common Good, but we cannot have a Common Good if we have nothing in common.

I hope to show you how all the diabolical policies and manufactured mass belief of this corrupting regime has divided us into insane and mutually antagnostic factions, to mobilise our people into a war on their civilisation as a sort of virtue signal.

I will explain how all the crises we have suffered have been created, then marketed, and also monetised by the management technique of our ruling elite - to dissolve all the nations into a borderless international marketplace, browsed by mutually hostile bargain hunters.

We can cure ourselves of this fatal vice. The demand for a sane, and decent, and normal life is the demand for a life worth living. Here I supply you with the information you might require to insist that this is not a demand for the impossible.

It is a demand for a counter-revolution, for the restoration of dignity to our lives.

If we learn how to make it, against the wicked system which is destroying us all, we shall secure a future for our children worth the name.

ESCAPING THE LABYRINTH

This is the story of the State we are in.

If we know how this labyrinth was made, we may avoid being devoured by the Beast at its centre, and make our way out of it, together. Come with me as I unspool a silver thread, to make sense of all the madness, and lead us out of a wicked maze of make belief and degradation.

We do not have to live like this. The revolution we have endured has been made by a rampaging beast which is now out of control. The elephant has gone mad.

We are not obliged to go mad with it. The changes it has made have amounted to a crime so vast against ourselves and our civilisation that it has no name. Every change it makes is a sort of vandalism, an insult to God and Man alike, and it sells this to us as progress.
